The day of the Metallica concert has finally arrived and Jimmy's psyched more than ever. To see him so excited about seeing them makes me realize I made the right decision in getting him the tickets for his birthday.

“Are you excited, baby?” I smile.
“Are you kidding? I get to meet some of my idols and see them live. This is my dream.”
“Well I'm glad I can make your dream come true.”
“I can never thank you enough. You're just amazing.”
“Aww baby. I'm not that amazing.”
“You are to me.”

He smiles and pulls me to him for a kiss. I smile and place my hands on his chest. Knowing I've made his dream come true makes me very happy. I want to make him happy in every way.

“I love you,” I smile.
“I love you too. So much.”
“Should we head out soon?”
“Yes. Just let me get changed and I'll be ready to go.”
“Okay. I'll wait in the living room.”
“Alright.”

He quickly pecks my lips before running to the room. I giggle to myself and sit down on one of the couches. I already got dressed a couple of minutes ago. I'm wearing one of my Metallica shirts with a satin mini skirt and ripped leggings. Jimmy said I look hot. He finally finishes up and I smile to myself. He looks hot himself. I get up from the couch and go over to him, taking his hand in mine.

“Are you ready, baby?”
“Yes. More than ever.”
“Good.”

We head out to the car and he starts driving to the arena the concert's going to be at. It takes a good hour to an hour and a half before we finally get there. The concert doesn't start for another two hours, so we have all that time to meet with the band and stuff. I can tell Jimmy's getting anxious because he's getting all fidgety.

“I've got the backstage passes in my purse. Are you ready to go inside?”
“Yes. I've just gotta mentally prepare myself to meet my idols.”
“Okay, baby.”
“How come you're not getting nervous?”
“I've already met and seen them live.”
“Hey you never told me that before,” he pouts.
“Aww baby.”

I lean over and kiss his pout.

“I'm sorry. Is that better?”
“Much,” he smiles.

I giggle and squeeze his hand.

“Let's head inside, baby.”
“Okay. I'm ready.”

I smile at him and we head up to where the security guards are standing. I show them our passes and they usher us inside. Jimmy squeezes my hand and stiffens up beside me.

“Where do you think they are?”
“Probably in their dressing rooms getting prepared.”
“Yeah maybe.”
“Are you two here to meet Metallica?”

I look and there's a guy standing there. Must be a stage hand.

“Yes we are.”
“Alright. Follow me and I'll take you to their room.”
“Thank you.”

I give Jimmy a smile and we follow the guy to where Metallica is. Jimmy squeezes my hand and I smile up at him.

“You'll be okay. Just talk music and everything will be okay. You won't even realize you're nervous anymore.”
“Okay.”

He smiles and we head over to the band. The guy tells them we're fans here to meet them and they greet us enthusiastically. Jimmy mentions that they're huge influences on his band and I just stand next to him and smile. He seems so calm. I told him talking music would work. James Hetfield says he'd check them out if he ever comes across their music and that makes Jimmy smile the biggest smile I've seen all day. They talk for a bit longer before the announce they have to do sound check.

“Nice seeing you again, Becca.”
“You too, guys.”

They leave the room and Jimmy looks at me with raised eyebrows.

“They know your name too?!”
“I may know them a little more than just meeting them once.”
“WHAT?”
“Yeah... my adopted dad grew up with them.”
“WHAT?”
“It's how I got you the tickets and passes, I mean, I bought them, but at a discount.”

I giggle and he just playfully nudges me. I never thought of mentioning this to Jimmy before because my mind has been focusing on other things. I guarantee he's going to tell the others and they're going to beg me to see if they can meet them as well. Oh I can only imagine.
