Welcome To The Family

**Johnny's POV**

Zacky, Jimmy and I just sat down to grab a few beer when my cell phone starts ringing...it's Matt. "Hey Matt, how's it going?" I say and the rest of the guys turn towards me so I place it on speakerphone and I hold it out so we all can hear.

"Honestly Johnny, I've never been happier in my life!" he replies and we all assume that Val's baby must have turned out to be his since he's been obsessing over having one for about a year now.

"Congrats man, how'd Chelle take the news?" I ask and Zacky punches me in the arm for trying to rain on Matt's joyous parade.

"Oh shit...I guess I should have explained, Val's baby is Brian's but Michelle said she and I are having one too!" he says and we all scream congratulations but he cuts us back off, "also, I asked Chelle to marry me and because her dad flipped his lid when I asked for his permission earlier, we are driving to Vegas to tie the knot!"

I think all of our jaws literally hit the table and none of us really know what to say but I manage to croak out a sentence..ok more like two words, "Vegas? When?"

"Yes and now! So get your asses in the car and meet us there.....please!" he begs.

Jimmy decides to be the brave soul and ask the question that's gnawing at us all, "Did you tell Brian and Val yet? I mean, are you going to tell them?" he says and we all hold our breathes while waiting.

Matt starts laughing hysterically, "Ha, of course we told them!" he says like it's the most ridiculous thing he's ever heard...I didn't think it was that crazy of a question to be honest. "Michelle just hung up with them and even teased them about doing a double wedding after Val's suggestion of an Avenged worthy bachelor party...so, are you guys in or what?" he asks and we all stand up and head towards the door. We all slide into Jimmy's car and head east towards Vegas. I yell into the phone before hanging it up,

"On our way!"

**Val's POV**

I tell Brian to rush home so we can pack a small bag before we go but he too excited and just tell me that we can buy whatever we need once we get there. I can't help but laugh because he's acting like we are the ones rushing off to do a spur of the moment shotgun wedding, not Matt and Michelle.

"Do you think I should call my mom?" I ask sadly. I know my mom would be heartbroken if she missed out on seeing Michelle walk down the isle just because our dad wants to be a heartless insensitive jerk.

Brian reaches over and grasps my hands and gives them a gentle squeeze, "I think that's up to you and Michelle but I doubt that you are going to want your dad tagging along with her after he voiced his brutally honest opinion on our relationships earlier." he says in a sincere tone.

I decide to text Michelle and ask her if she would mind and glance back at Brian and wonder if he has ever taking our relationship to the next level. He said I was his forever, but forever what?...girlfriend?... baby mama?... or possibly the future Mrs. Valary Haner. I wonder if I should bite the bullet and just ask him to clarify but part of me is terrified that he will just tell me he's not ready to talk about it...or worse, that I'll scare him away.

"What are you thinking about?" Brian asks because obviously I've been stupidly staring at him for at least two minutes without saying a word.

"I..um...I'm just thinking about.." I start then my text tone goes off and I pause to read the message from Michelle.

"Michelle?" Brian asks and I nod my head in agreement so he continues ,"What did she say?"

"She said that I could invite our mom as long as she swears not to tell anyone who might tip off our dad" I chuckle and I'm relieved at her timing so I won't have to answer Brian's question from before. "I'm going to call my mom now if that's ok?" I say and quickly dial my mom's cell. It's rings five times then goes to voicemail...ugh, there is no way that I'm leaving this information there, so I hang up faster than I had wished for and hope he doesn't bring it up again.

"So, are you going to tell me what was on your mind earlier or do you need to stall longer for a bathroom break?" He teases and I so badly want to smack him because he knows me too well.

I decide to tease him right back so I joke, "Well you know, pregnant women do have to use the bathroom a lot" and he lovingly smirks at me. I smile because I know can't be mad at him for wanting to know..

..I'm just not sure if I'm ready to tell him the truth yet.
