Chapter Seven
Izzy’s P.O.V
I had passed out on the bed but woke up an hour later to the sound of my phone ringing and I noticed it was Jimmy.
“Hey what’s up Jim-Jam” I said to him… I couldn’t believe I actually called him that over the
phone.
“We made a pit stop right outside Lincoln to get some sleep, I guess everyone had enough of the bus… could you meet me?” He said and I popped my head outside the door… Erin’s light was off and I walked over to the room and cracked it seeing that her keys were on the nightstand.
“Yeah… meet you in 15 to 20 minutes, where are you right now?” I asked and I could hear the excitement in his voice.
“I am at this really nice hotel… not hard to miss, it’s right off on the I-29 exit” He said and I hung up about to sneak off before Dean cleared his throat nearly scaring the shit out of me.
“Going somewhere Iz” He said and I just smiled.
“Just gonna get some air… things have been crazy and I just need to take a drive” I said to
him pausing and looking at him, then over to Erin’s room.
“Keep an eye on her okay” I said and he nodded before smiling sipping his beer.
“Tell Jimmy I say hi” He said right before I pulled out and when I left I could see him peeking in Erin’s room… he was actually a decent guy. After about 15 minutes I saw Jimmy and motioned for him to get in the car and we drove a mile down the street and sat in the car drinking and staring at the sky.
“You are the first girl who hasn’t flipped over the whole demons and angels and shit are real… I never thought I would meet anyone like that” Jimmy said and I pushed his shoulder laughing a little.
“I mean anything is possible, I just try to keep an open mind about things, I think it’s kind of cool that they are real… I don’t know maybe it means that there is actually a higher power, it makes you wonder” I said getting in one of my deep thoughts but pulled out just laughing with Jimmy.
“Well I gotta say I am impressed by you miss Iz” He said and I just smiled… Jimmy was the crazy band member I had seen in all the videos and concerts… but he was serious and sweet and I had to say it was crazy that I actually get to chill with him…
Matt’s P.O.V
I woke up in a cold sweat… still feeling nauseous from my nightmare. I couldn’t shake them ever since Val was taken from me and I knew in a moment or two one of the guys were gonna walk in and check on me like usual. I poured myself a drink and took a sip of it before going and taking a looong hot shower. As I stood in front of the mirror with the towel wrapped around my waist I sighed and cleared the fog from it.. it took a double take to realize what I was seeing…
“Val” I said putting my hand towards the mirror and then quickly turning around realizing she wasn’t there. I pulled my drink up to my lips feeling the disappointment and I ran my other hand over my head. When I chugged the last of it I instantly went back to get some more but I stopped when I saw Val again. Despite the paleness that had overcome her usual glowing skin tone she still looked as perfect as ever. All she did was stare at me without expression but her lips twitched ever so slightly and she disappeared again. I poured the drink and went and put on some boxers, I stepped back into the bathroom just staring at myself… studying the bags under my eyes that had shown that I hadn’t slept in a long time. Just as I lifted that glass up again… part of me wanted the whiskey, the other half felt guilty and longed to be the strong and loving Matt it used to be. I took one more look at my hazel green eyes and I threw the glass, drink and all against the mirror letting it shatter into a million shards. I grabbed my clothes and and walked a few doors down to find Jimmy… but he wasn’t there. When I got into his room and called him the phone buzzed under the pillow. I sifted through the contacts and stopped when I saw Dean’s number and dialed it.
“Hey dude it’s Matt… Jimmy’s friend” I said after he greeted me.
“What can I do for ya Matt?” Dean asked and I could hear the sloshing sound of beer from the other end.
“Well I am in Jimmy’s room and he isn’t here… he left his phone behind so I figured I would try you since you are a hunter as well” I stated and I didn’t expect him to know where he was.
“Oh dude he is with Izzy, he called her about 3-4 hours ago and she took Erin’s car and came out that way… I really haven’t heard from Izzy since but I am sure they’re fine” Dean said cooly and I was kinda annoyed that he was so laid back and didn’t care that there was a chance Izzy and Jimmy could be hurt.
“FOUR HOURS AGO! AND YOU DIDN’T THINK TO CALL IZZY AND SEE IF THEY ARE OKAY!” I screamed at him through the phone.
“Dude you need to take a chill pill, they are both fine and will come around whenever they are done” Dean said before hanging up the phone. I growled and put Jimmy’s phone back onto the bed and walked out, now really pissed off….
Dean’s P.O.V
Dude that guy Matt really needs a good sized chill pill, Izzy knew what she was doing and she had her phone, I am sure after everything it was just nice for her to get away. I got up out of my chair and headed back over to Erin’s room knocking on the door.
“Who is it?” She called out, her voice was kinda melodic.
“It’s Dean” I said and I heard her sigh which made me laugh and she finally opened the door and she just looked me up and down as I leaned against the doorframe. It was silent for a moment or two before Erin’s hands fell to her hips.
“Was there something that you needed?” She asked and I snapped out of the fact that she
was wearing nothing but a t-shirt and panties and came up with something quickly stepping towards her.
“Just wanted to check your bandages and stuff” I said grabbing her arm and pulling the old bandages off.
“Ah yeah we need to change these now” I said and she just chuckled going over and sitting on the bed while I grabbed the stuff. I sat down and sterilized the gashes in her arm again and slowly wrapped the bandages on her arm and when I was done she smiled at me.
“Thanks” She said, her green eyes locked with mine.
“Anytime” I said taking a deep breath in… damn Erin is beautiful… and I could tell that there was something here but…
“So have you gotten anything new on the demon situation?” She asked.
“Wait how do you know that this is about demons?” I asked her and she stopped smiling.
“Well Cas was talking about it and I overheard you and that Matt guy talking about it too… ya know what fine… if you don’t wanna answer the question then I am gonna go talk to Hannah and see if she knows where Cas is” Erin said getting right in my face and she was so close and my hand came up from my leg but I put it back down… no.. I can’t drag another person into this.
“Cas isn’t gonna tell you anything Erin, so don’t dig into it” I said getting up and pacing around. Erin went into the bathroom and changed into a white camisole and a pair of blue jeans and she grabbed her phone and walked out the door and I grabbed at her non wounded arm.
“What are you doing?!” I questioned her and she pulled her arm back.
“Going to see Hannah, am I not allowed?” She questioned back glaring at me, that’s right Erin, hate me so that I don’t have to come forward about the fact that I actually really like you.
“I am warning you Erin… DON’T DIG!” I said loudly and she took a step back and she smirked at me almost like she was challenging me and I just sighed and when she opened the door to Hannah’s room I heard a couple of gasps and I quickly moved right next to Erin seeing Hannah and Cas looking guilty.
“What… were they fucking?” I asked and Erin slapped me on the chest.
“NO! We talked last night and I passed out on his chest okay! GO AWAY!” Hannah said running into the bathroom and Cas came towards us and I just smiled at him trying not to laugh.
Erin’s P.O.V
Dean was talking to Cas… my guess telling him not to answer any questions about the
demons… when I realized that my car wasn’t here and we were missing a person.
“Where’s my car?” I asked loudly and Hannah quickly came out of the room. I walked to mine realizing that the keys weren’t on the table and I came back out with my phone calling Izzy but her phone was going straight to voicemail.
“Where THE FUCK is my car!” I said getting really dramatic and Hannah just sat there laughing while Castiel had the look of confusion on his face. Dean came over and grabbed my arms.
“Alright alright, calm down Little Mermaid, all is not lost, your friend Izzy needed some air after everything and drove to meet up with that guy Jimmy” Dean said and I took a deep breath regaining composure but I still felt like something was off.
“I just wish that she would have texted me or something letting me know that she is alright” I said and Hannah came over and we all bunched into her room. Cas was pacing around and Dean was drinking again already.
“The angels have been talking a lot this morning…. There is something happening around here and I am pretty sure that whatever it is may be too big for just the two of us Dean” Cas said facing him and I butted in.
“We can help ya know!” I said and Hannah wanted to as well.
“Yeah I think that we would be good to have around” Hannah stated and Dean looked at Cas and then Dean looked at me.
“No” That was all that came from Dean’s mouth. I slammed my hands down on the chair and walked out, I walked around to the side of the motel and I just needed a moment to cool off but a second later Dean popped up.
“NO IS ALL YOU’RE GONNA SAY!” I yelled at him and he crossed his arms and just endured the screaming.
“Yeah that is my final answer” He said all smug and macho like… who the fuck does this guy think he is!?
“WE CAN HELP YOU! WE ARE STRONGER THAN WE LOOK!” I shouted and he just threw his hands into the air.
“I know you are strong Erin! Dammit I do! You just cannot come along on this! You, Hannah and Izzy have a plan already so go back to it!!!” He said starting to raise his voice and I just stood there for a moment.
“Why do you want us to go so badly?” I asked, my voice small and a little hurt… cause I actually was starting to feel for Dean… Hannah and Izzy are so into this kinda stuff and it would have been nice to get into this stuff and help…
“SON OF A BITCH! IT’S JUST BUSINESS ERIN!” He yelled at me and I let a tear fall from my eye and I quickly got rid of it and just as he came towards me I walked back towards my room calling Izzy again hoping that she would be back soon…. I guess the feelings between us weren’t actually there….
