(Love) Contract

Brian’s POV

Tara and I were making out… well not really… just for the camera, but it was actually really hard not to forget everything and everyone around us.
At first it was pretty awkward, but the longer we were kissing and touching on the little made up set room lounging together on the couch, the realer it felt… and the sooner you could forget it all.
“Perfect… next set.” Someone yelled and I could only hardly pull myself away from Tara and wanted to shout… no… just a little… little more…
“Are you feeling a little better?” Tara smiled at me and I had to smirk back.
“How can you ask me that, when you feel my erection pressed to your core, huh?” I asked and felt Tara shift beneath me making me groan when her hand brushed my erection.

“Come on, babe.” Tara got up and I tried to sit up but needed a moment longer.
“What’s next?” I asked trying to kill the time and my erection.
“Just another scene with you and Tara, talking, walking around town, looking in love… while we make the rest of the band walking by… in the last moment Tara will turn around and lock eyes with Matt.”Ourassistant producer announced and I cringed a little, so now really the last scenes started… but I had to admit I was feeling a little better, after having my time with Tara here on the set, I knew it would be over soon and I wouldn’t have to stand this much longer so I was ready.

The next scenes needed to be repeated a couple of time and before the last scenes with Matt and Tara could be made it was already dark outside, which was in our favor since the actual scene also had been at night.
The assistant producer placed Matt and Tara at the bench in the made up park, he placed each and every little detail just like in the picture that we had.
Tara was wearing the same clothes and Matt as well, the scene started with them walking hand in hand, then arm in arm… sitting at the bench talking, then Matt singing part of the lyrics, to make it fitting… next I knew what was to come but I had to look away, but somehow I couldn’t.

I stared at the scene seeing Matt put his hand to Tara’s cheek, his thumb caressing her cheek and I swallowed thickly, his lips met hers and finally I took my eyes of them.
“It’s just a show Gates, we are nearly done… all this is nearly done.” Jimmy stood beside me, looking at the scene.
“Good, next angle… and… please.” The assistant yelled again and I saw Tara leaning against Matt’s chest, his arms around her waist, she looking up to him, with loving eyes… fuck… this was enough.
I was about to make a step back, but felt an arm keeping me from going, I tried to push the arm away but he held on strong.
“Fuck, Jimmy… stop it.” I shoved harder but he wouldn’t let go.
“You will stay.” Jimmy turned me around, made me look at the scene again, and to my relief the kissing was over again and they were walking away from the park, but still staring at each other.
“Why, do you want me to watch?” I asked Jimmy a little desperate. “This is just sick.”
“No, it’s not… It’s a show, it’s a video. Nothing more and nothing less.”Jimmy said and I looked back at the scene, seeing Matt looking uncomfortable around, seeing the producer putting Matt’s hand where he want to have them, telling them where to look, what to say…
“Now you realizing? There is nothing romantic about this scene, nothing fun… it’s work.” Jimmy said and I had to nod.
“You are right… shit… I am an idiot.” Fucking hell, I needed to get over this, Michelle and Matt never happened… would never happen.
And Tara and Matt it’s over, there was never this connection, not what we had… and there never will be.
“Fucking hell… Jimmy… you are a freaking genius” I hugged him to me and kissed his forehead before storming off to the set and interrupting a scene.
“GATES… DAMN GET OFF THE SCENE!” The producer yelled but I had to do one thing.
“I love you.” I kissed Tara with a smile and she looked at me confused and while Matt took a step back.
I kissed her again and quickly left the scene to let them finish it and moved back to my place beside Jimmy, he laid his arm around my shoulder and smiled. “Good, Gates. Really good.”

Matt’s POV

God this was the worst time ever… and I knew it would be like this, but I couldn’t help it now.
Kissing Tara, before she was with Brian was hot, and we were good, but now it was more than awkward, if you had to kiss your best friends girl that was just not right.

And I could promise I would never… never in my life do that again, or even think about that.
Seeing Brian standing beside the set and looking at us wasn’t making the situation any better, I felt like I was betraying my best friend even though it was not real…

“That’s a wrap. We are done… Thank you all for your help and work.” The producer announced finally and I sighed loudly.
Thank god.
I looked at Tara and she also had the relieved expression on her face.“Tara, I’m sorry, really… but this was really…”
“Don’t say anything more… I know what you mean.” She smiled at me and I let my shoulder slump down, fuck yeah… we were done.
“Guys, come on over have a look at the scenes.” I didn’t really know if I wanted to see it, but we had to.

We watched the entire set of footage and talked which scenes needed to make it and looked the best, we made it a band decision, like normally.
The producer would do the rest with his team and set everything up within the next two day, they weren’t really happy about that fact, but they would make it… They had to make it.

I saw Brian and Tara standing beside the cars, everybody was making themselves ready to go home.
But I wanted to talk to them a final time.
“Brian… Tara, wait.” I yelled and they turned towards me.
I breathed deeply in and out and jogged towards them.
“Is everything okay between us?” I asked Brian and he smiled at me, and then clapped my shoulder.
“Yeah, we are good. I’m sorry for giving you a hard time… I don’t know… I realized that, there is nothing between you anymore and there won’t be... I just needed a little longer to realize that.” Brian smiled and I was glad.
“Thanks. Then will you give me a little moment with Tara… I just want to make something clear.” Brian nodded and walked off towards Jimmy.

“I just wanted to let you know that, you still mean a lot to me. But like a friend… I know you and Brian fit together and you love each other… it was hard to realize that you wanted him and not me, but I get it now… and I don’t want to ever get between you. You and him, that’s fitting… and not me. I want to be there for you, as a friend and I hope that you will do the same for me.” I looked at Tara and she smiled.
“I will be there for you, too. Of course, I will. We are a family, right… I’m sorry for all the confusion and hurt that I have caused.” She took my hand in hers and squeezed lightly.
“Don’t be, we will manage everything… and if not. We will blame everything on Jimmy.” I winked at her and saw Brian coming back towards us.
Tara laughed and I made my way towards my car. I was glad I could finally have this talk, with both of them.
And we had the video shoot behind us, now the only thing before us was the show, in 2 days… after that show we would know what would really happen, would he sign the contract?
Would we have to show the video anyway?
What was Jimmy’s other plan?
Fuck, I really had to ask him about it… before this would get out of hand… and none of us would know what it was about.
