(Love) Contract

Tara’s POV

I felt a little confused that Matt decided to leave Brian’s house. I was getting used to him around, too used to him. But it was better anyway, the sexual tension when he was in a room with me was way too heavy it was nearly catchable.
It was good that Brian and I would be alone, but Brian was showing me way too much attention right now and I had a hard time resisting him.
When he opened the car door for me he stood there and pointed with a finger to his lips.
I walked up to him and gave him a small kiss, we were outside so I had to be on my best in-love-girlfriend acting pose.
And Brian was taking full advantage of it, worst of it all, he was just so handsome and he could really be sweet and funny if he wanted to and if I wouldn’t have seen the other side of him already, I would have get lost.

He drove into the city, parked his car at a side of the street and got out, I still didn’t know what he planned for the evening and I was wondering about it the entire time.
He helped me out of the car and laid his arm around my waist, pulling me close.
“Your sister told me you liked live music and I found this nice little bar where a friend of mine is playing an acoustic set tonight. It’s a little secret so there won’t be too many people around, he told me about it the other day and I think you might like it.”
“Is he playing metal? I mean.. a friend of yours?” I asked, I liked the music Brian showed to me but some of it was just a little too much for me.
“Normally, yeah he does, but since this is an acoustic performance and only him not his band, he made a few changes in the set list… you will like it, believe me.” Brian sounded enthusiastic and I would just go with the flow.

We walked along a couple of streets and through some dark corners until we stood before a small bar, the light of the entrance illuminating the whole backyard.
“I’ve never been here before.”
“Told you it’s a secret, not so many people know, really exclusive. But some camera’s might be around, so don’t forget, honey, you are mine. And now come on, let’s find a nice place to sit and enjoy.” Brian grabbed my hand and we headed to the entrance.
He was greeted by the woman behind the bar and I saw on a really small pedestal sat a guy with his guitar, he sat it aside when he saw Brian.
“Hey, you made it, thought you wouldn’t come.” The guy hugged Brian and he let go of my hand.
“Yes, I was thinking I should show my girl how bad you suck at the guitar.” Brian grinned.
“Your girl? Did I miss something?” The guy smiled and looked at me with a grin.
“Hey, I’m Matt, and don’t listen to that guy, I can play guitar, maybe not as good as him, but I’m more the singer, you know.” He introduced himself and hugged me but still I think I haven’t heard or seen him before.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Tara, and yes Brian’s girlfriend.” I grinned and he chuckled.
“That nice to hear, someone got a hold on this guy again. Come on, here is a nice place for you.” Matt brought us to a small table and we sat down.
Brian ordered something to drink and a snack for us, while the Matt went back to his small stage.
“What’s the name of his band? Do I know them?” I asked and Brian shrugged.
“It’s Trivium, he is the singer and rhythm guitarist. He does these kinds of events every now and then.”
“What did you order?” I asked Brian a little suspicious.
“A beer for you and a coke for me. I’m driving, don’t worry. I had enough alcohol last night.” He took my hand over the table and kissed my knuckles.

Some more people came to the bar and finally the live music was about to start.
“Hey, guys. I’m Matt Heafy from Trivium, some of you might know me… some not. I have a small set of 5 songs, hope you enjoy it.”
Matt began to play and sing and I really enjoyed it, he seemed to be a funny guy and his voice was really deep and smooth, I liked that.
Brian looked at me with a smile “You are enjoying it, right?”
“Yes, it’s great. Thank you.” Brian stood up and took the chair beside me.
“Tara, I’m sorry for what I said, yesterday. I didn’t mean it… I don’t even really remember it. Thank you for being here and you know, wanting to take care of me. If I need to be honest with you, I kind of like the feeling that someone wants to take care of me. But don’t tell Matt.” He grinned.
I chuckled, “Fine, it’s our secret.”

He leaned in and captured my lips with his the kiss began slowly, but soon turned into something more, his hand moved to my thigh and when I pulled his hand away, he grinned into our kiss and I had to smile as well.
He pulled away a little and I saw the lust in his eyes, I couldn’t deny that he was turning me on too, but we were in the middle of a bar, being watched by other people, maybe some made even pictures, this is still Brian or well Syn Gates the rockstar.
“Brian, stop it.” I whispered when he leaned in again, putting small kissed to the corner of my mouth.
“I don’t want to, you taste so sweet.”
“Gates, hands off your girl and on the guitar. Give a nice applause for this friend of mine. Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold.” Matt’s voice was interrupting us and Brian groaned in frustration.
“Bad timing, Matt.” Brian growled but stood up anyway, grabbing the guitar Matt was holding out to him and sat in Matt’s place.
“Good evening, let’s show this wannabe guitarist how we really do it.” Brian said to the mic smirking and I heard a lot of women sighing behind me.
And this was the first time for me seeing Brian play and being on a stage, even if it’s only a small one.
But I he totally rocked it, his sheer presence there was making it fit together, him, the stage, his look, his attitude, everything. He played something soft and melodic and when his fingers moved on the guitar and he closed his eyes I heard myself sighing deeply, this was nothing like I expected.

Brian’s POV

I heard a deep sigh and my eyes opened and locked with Tara’s. She looked at me and I winked at her. I didn’t really like sitting behind a mic, because well I liked to play not to speak or sing too much.
If I had to fine, I would but this was just about the music and the melody of the guitar.
I played something that was building in my head for quite a while, not really getting it out before now. Maybe that had something to do with her?

I studied Tara’s dreamy face and smiled to myself, I had to write this down, when I got of this stage, needed the notes on paper, before I could forget them.
It’s really been a while since I have been writing anything. I knew Matt was bugging me about it for a while, but I just didn’t feel it and right now it was there, in front of this small audience the muse kissed me.
I let the last note drift of quietly and then put the guitar aside, Matt took it and nodded approvingly at me.
“Fine, I give you that, awesome, like always.” Matt clapped my back and I smiled.
“Yours wasn’t too bad.” I grinned and he shook his head at me “Cocky as always.”
“Wouldn’t be me if I wasn’t, right?” He laughed.
“Wish you guys a nice evening oh and tell Sanders, we should meet again for another round of Golf soon.”
“Will do. Thanks Matt.” I waved goodbye and walked back to Tara, she got up and hugged me.
“Brian, that was amazing. That song, what was it?” She asked and I shrugged.
“Nothing yet, but we need to get home now, I need to get it on paper, and you will help me.” I took her hand and quickly walked out of the bar.
Maybe this evening would end differently than I planned or expected…
