The Sinners

Sam's P.O.V
- Flashback-

I leaned against the wall outside of the bar as Johnny and Zack finished up the cigarettes I gave them.
" Do you want a ride home?" Johnny asked. I shook my head.
" No thanks. I don't live far from here. Plus it's nice out." I said, smiling at them. Zack laughed and nodded his head.
" Alright. See you at my place tomorrow" Johnny said as him and Zack got into the car and Mikayla waved bye to me.
" You bet" I said, waving bye. I watched them drive out of the parking lot. I stuck my hand in my leather jacket pockets as I started walking down the sidewalk towards my place. I saw car lights coming my way and the car wasn't slowing down. I went to move out of the way but it ended up hitting me. My back hit the windshield, almost breaking it. I rolled over the top of the car, hearing it crash. I landed on the sidewalk and the back of my hand hit the sidewalk as everything went black.

Brian's P.O.V
-Present-
" Sam.." Raven cried. Sage started crying to and leaned against Jimmy and Raven. He held onto the both of them.
" Go tell the others.. I'll get them into the van. You drive, you haven't been drinking." Jimmy said. I nodded and ran outside. Everyone looked at me as I ran into the backyard. I took a deep breath and turned off the loud music.
" Last night Ryder got into a car accident.. He was released just now from the hospital. But he hit someone with his car.." I said, frowning.
" Who did he hit?" Val asked.
" Sam.." I said. Johnny and Zack dropped their beers.
" Fuck!!" Zack said and punched the side of the house. Johnny covered his own face and grabbed a beer can. He threw it at his house.
" This is our fucking fault!" Johnny said.
" Come into the van, we're going to see them. It's not your fault" I told them.
" It is!" Zack yelled.
" We should have made him get into the fucking car" Johnny said, throwing another beer can.
" Guys stop. It's not your fault" I said, walking over to the van. Jimmy sat in the very back, between Raven and Sage. Johnny got in the van with Zack and Mikayla.
" Tresa will drive Val and I there. Drive safe. See you soon." Matt said, getting in the back of Tresa's car. I nodded, getting in the drivers side of the van. I drove out of the drive way and onto the road. I glanced in the mirror and saw Johnny silently crying. Zack had his face buried in Mikayla's hair. He was also crying. When we arrived at the hospital, everyone hurried inside. Sage ran over to the desk.
" What room is Sam Trevor in?" she asked.
" He's in ICU.. Room 345.. But family only" the lady behind the desk said, looking at our big group.
" I understand. We are his family" Sage said, leaving before the nurse could stop us. We got onto the ICU floor but got told to go to the waiting room.
" Three people can only go into the room. So two from your group can go." The new nurse said. Sage and Raven got up and went to go see him. After the nurse left Jimmy looked at Johnny and Zack. They were still crying.
" This isn't your fault" Val said to them. Mikayla agreed. Jimmy looked at the four of them confused so I told them why they thought it was their fault. Jimmy shook his head.
" It's not your fault." Jimmy said, pulling them into a hug. About 20 minutes later, Raven and Sage came back with Ryder. He seriously looked like shit. He had bruises and cuts all over his face. Sage collapsed onto my lap, emotionless. Raven took Sage's bag and started looking through it. She took out Sage's anti-depressants and gave her one.
" Next three can go in.." Raven said. Johnny, Zack and Mikayla got up, leaving the waiting room. Tresa helped Ryder sit down and held onto him as he started bawling.

Mikayla's P.O.V
Johnny walked ahead of us as we went to see Sam. When we walked into the room we all gasped as we saw all the tubes going into him. Johnny looked at the nurse.
" Can he hear us or something?" He asked. She nodded.
" Yes he can. Most patients can. He won't answer back though" She said. Johnny walked over beside him.
" Hey man.. It's Johnny" He said.
" Zack and Mikayla are here too" Zack added, standing beside him. They were both holding back their tears, where as mine were rolling down my cheeks.
" I'm sorry about last night.. I should have dragged you into my car. But guess what. Next time mine. I'm driving your ass home. I don't care what you're going to say about it. Yes there's going to next man. Trust me on it. You're one of my best friends" Johnny said.
" Mine too" Zack added, he went to say more but started crying again.
" See you soon man" Johnny said, holding back his tear until we left the room.

Shit this was a hard chapter to right.. So much sadness, I had tears rolling down my cheeks anyway..
