Don't Respect the Words You're Speaking
So how does it feel to know that
"It looks nice" Zacky said as he came into the room from upstairs. He smiled at me as I plopped myself down on the couch.
"Remember, this is only till I can get my own place. If it wasn't for the fact that Val and Matt are trying to have a baby, I would still be there." He sat down next to me and looked at the TV. "I hate the room arrangement's."
"You could stay in my room" My eyes lit up, the room I'm in is next to the dryer and washer in the hall way and Zacky insist on having them run while we're sleeping, I'm almost positive he does this just because I can't sleep with it.
"Really?" He nodded and grinned.
"Yup, I don't mind sharing my bed with you"
"Pig" I stood up and walked over to the stair case, "Oli it's time to go! Are you ready?". I heard rustling around as Oli was having last minute plans on what to take with him to his first day of preschool here.
"Why does he have to go? You don't have to go to work till like 10 and I don't have to do anything today" Zacky asked as he grabbed his phone and keys while coming over next to me. I tossed him his wallet that I took with me to go to the store this morning to grab some milk. He looked at me suspiciously and I just smiled.
"Cause he needs to make friends as soon as possible. I don't want our kid being lonely and then I feel bad because I was the one that decided to move us" He rubbed my shoulder. " You coming with me to drop him off?"
"Yea, I also have to give them the rest of the sheets they asked for." Oliver raced down the stairs in his cute outfit.
"Don't forget your book bag"
Zacky looked from Oli to me. "You did not put my son in a tank top" I glared at him. Zacky went to the hall closet next to the front door and picked out a jacket for Oli.
"Don't you dare judge his outfit. You wear tank tops all the time"
"Around the house, you're letting our son go out looking like a dork" I pushed him and grabbed Oli's hand.
"Am I a dork?" Oli said looking up to me, I laughed at him.
"No, your mommy is" Zacky said walking past me and picking up Oli on his way out of the door. "You'll do fine, just tell everyone your daddy is a rock star" He placed Oli in his car seat.
"Don't listen to him, he is silly." I got into the passenger seat and Zacky got into the drivers seat, giving me a unwanted glare.
"What are you going to do today daddy?"
"Play with Mommy" He grinned as he stared at the road.
"Are you guys getting married" I started to chock on my own spit. He never asked that before and we've been living with Zacky for a week now. Of course my friends were playing around about us getting back together because I moved in with him, but it's not going to happen.
"No. No, this is just till mommy can find a new place for us to live here" Zacky chuckled at how fast I replied once I caught my breath and probably at the question too.
We pulled into the parking lot and I got out first. Oli just stared at the huge playground they had outside next to it as he got out and held my hand.
"Do I get to play there" I nodded and he smiled. As we walked in I started to notice that me and Zacky were getting stared at by all the other parents, they looked at us like we were freak shows.
I tugged on Zacky's hand and he automatically grabbed it and smiled at me. I couldn't help but laugh at how he just seemed fine with the stares and people talking.
I leaned in to him "Why are people staring at us like we're freaks", we got into the building and the first teacher we saw looked shocked to see us.
"Cause we are" He said and laughed as we walked up to her. "Hi, I'm Zacky Baker, this is Silver and that's Oli. We're new here and was wondering where Mrs. Cooks room is"
"Okay, please follow me" We followed her in an awkward silence. "Here you go, just remember one hallway down and the 4th door on the right" with that she nodded at us and left. We knocked and walked into the room with little boys and girl running around playing and screaming with each other.
"Hello, you must me Oliver Baker, I'm Mrs. Cook, your teacher" Oliver just nodded and looked up at us. The older women looked at me and Zacky, who was still holding hands apparently. "Hello again"
"Here you go, sorry for not turning them in earlier" Zacky handed the papers with information on his self and emergency information.
"No problem, you wanna say goodbye Oliver and go play" He nodded at her and looked at us. I bent down and he kissed me on the cheek.
"Love you" I smiled and kissed him back.
"Love you too" He went over to Zacky and Zacky picked him up and hugged him.
"Love you too daddy" Zacky looked surprised, probably just as much as I was. That was the first time that Oli had ever said that to him.
"Love you too Oli" He placed him down and kissed his forehead. Oli waved then ran off to the train station in the corner.
"That was cute. Don't worry about him, he will learn and he'll have fun. You to have fun yourselves." We nodded at her and smiled as we turned around to leave "Goodbye Mr. and Mrs. Baker"
"Bye" Zacky said grabbing my hand again and pulling me out the door before I could correct her.
"Zacky, we're not married and I don't want her to think that I'm a Baker" Zacky laughed at me.
"You wanted to be at one point in time" We held hands swinging them like we were a couple of kids.
"That was years ago" He looked at me with a smile.
"Hmm" He laughed "I'll just have to change that" I blushed and looked over. A kid was pointing at us and talking about Zacky's tattoo's to his mom.
"I'd like to see you try"
"You're on, lets seal the bet" He said to me and stopped. I stepped in and kissed him, when I stepped away he looked at me surprised.
"I'm gonna win"
