I watched them as they cuffed him and shoved him in the police car. Even though living with him was the worst time of my life, I felt horrible. As an officer helped me wipe up the tears streaming down my face, I saw nothing, heard nothing, felt nothing, but replayed the memories of the past five years in my head, and cried.When I was born, my father left. He never came around, never called, never was sober enough to care. By the time I was five, I had a slight understanding of what was going on. My childhood dragged by, full of memories of my mother, proud and strong, crying herself to sleep over my never present father. And I hated him.

Kaitlyn, or Kitty, grew up without her dad. He was a drug addict and unfaithful to her mother, stuck in rehab. But when a tragedy in Kitty's life requires her dad to come live over her and be the father he never was, what will she do when she realises that jail did nothing to change him. He was still drunk, loud, and abusive, and she can't take the stress. Can her friends help her stop him, before she stops her life?
