Roadtrip

Matt’s POV
We got up real early to get to the next town in time to pick up the girls from the airport and not lose too much time in the race. I was able to arrange a few things, that is why I could surprise the couples with something nice. Johnny and Zack were in on it, but I would tell the others when the girls got back. It was weird that they had been away for only one day really, but we all missed them.
Even if we wouldn’t have missed them, Brian and Jimmy wouldn’t let us forget for a moment, they both were obnoxious as hell.
“We have to hurry, they will land in 30 minutes” Jimmy was checking his phone, again and again.
“The airport is already ahead of us, shut the fuck up, we will be in time” Zack replied annoyed.
“Izzie will draw the wrong conclusions if I’m not there when she lands” Brian commented absently.
“Brian, please, where the hell are your balls?” Johnny smirked.

Zack pulled up to the arrival hall and before he even stopped, Jimmy and Brian were already out, leaving us to sigh in disbelieve.
“I can’t believe them, what happened to our friends?” Zack muttered, locking the doors, walking after them together with Johnny and me. We saw Jimmy and Brian standing at a little shop, ready to buy balloons and flowers. I walked over to them
“The hell you are, put that back, they have only been away for a day”
They both shot me an angry glare, but followed my instructions.
“Come on, let’s see if they already landed” Jimmy walked ahead with Johnny and Zack.
Brian and I followed them, he was fidgeting with his hands
“I texted her I needed to tell her something”
“Brian! Now she will be stressed out like crazy, she will think you have something bad to tell her”
“NO! I just wanted to tell her that I’m in love with her”
“I got that, but she will think the worst! That was fucking stupid, Haner!” I sighed, you would think he had never had a relationship in his life. However, this wasn’t the first time, but he certainly acted like it was.

Jimmy was pacing back and forth, looking through the glass doors, trying to catch a glimpse of the girls.
“Do you see anything?” Brian asked nervously
“I think I see some people coming out... wait... YES! There they are!” The doors opened and the first one that came flying out was Mia, running for Jimmy’s arms, dropping her bag as she almost reached him. She jumped into his arms, putting her legs around his waist, kissing him all over his face. An old couple that stood next to me looked at them with a smile.
“Were they apart for a long time?” the old lady asked me.
I chuckled “No, I’m almost ashamed to say it, but they didn’t see each other for two days.”
The lady smiled even wider “They must really love each other if they can’t be without each other for two days. You young kids have fun”
“Thank you” I smiled at her and looked at my friends, okay, Jimmy and Mia wouldn’t be responsive for the next few minutes, but Izzie still wasn’t here, and Brian was slowly going crazy.
“Where is she?!”
I looked over all the other people meeting their loved ones and saw Izzie behind the door. She stood still and seemed hesitant to go through to meet us. Fuck, Brian screwed up.
“She’s there, right behind the door”
He tried to look in, but we only got a glimpse from her when the door opened a few times. I saw her taking a deep breath, putting a smile on her face and got through the door finally.

Izzie’s POV
Mia had rushed through the door as soon as she had seen Jimmy. I got our small luggage and wanted to go through the door, but thought about Brian’s text, just like I had the whole flight here. He had to tell me something. I was hesitant to meet him and hear what he had to say, now I was in the assumption that he liked me and wanted to spend time with me, what would happen if I went through that door? I would have to go at one time, so I took a deep breath and went through the door.
“IZZIE!” Brian called my name and I slowly walked towards them. I saw Brian rushing to me and before I fully understood what was happening I was in his arms and he kissed me deeply. I let the bags fall to the ground and snaked my arms around his neck.

“I missed you so much” Brian looked at my face and carefully stroked the strands of hair out of the way.
“Really? Then why... what...what did you want to tell me? If it’s something bad, do it now, okay?”
“No! I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you, I just....” he quickly replied. He looked into my eyes and I could just drown in his, he blushed “I wanted to tell you something important... shit... I didn’t want to do this here... but... I’m in love with you Izzie... I love you”
WHAT?! My head was spinning and my stomach was doing cartwheels, following my heart in the happy parade.
“That was.... not what I expected” I started hesitantly, he stared at me in disbelief.
“No, me neither” he looked disappointed.
“OH! Sorry! I’m in love with you too, Brian, I’ve loved you for a long time, even though I wasn’t allowed to”
“I know” he replied with a smirk, kissing me again. I pushed him away a little.
“What do you mean ‘I know’?”
“The fight you had with Mia? Jimmy and I overheard you two.” I stared at him, confused, damn, how stupid was I? Thinking he didn’t know? “And you already told me you love me. When you were drunk in New York, after the club night” I moved my hands in front of my face, that was why he had been blushing the next day, asking me if I knew what I had done. Damn.
He moved my hands from my face
“Don’t be embarrassed, I needed some time to admit, but I’m glad I finally did.” He gave me a soft kiss, there was nothing sexual about it, but it took my breath away, it was mindblowing.

“Are you two done?! We would like to say hi to Izzie too” Matt’s voice broke the magic moment, and Brian and I shot him an angry glare.
They all laughed loudly and I was pulled into 4 different hugs while Brian said hello to Mia. I went to New York with a nice guy in my corner, who said he really liked me and I got back to a boyfriend that loved me, how lucky was I?

Matt’s POV
Brian and Jimmy were even worse now, since the girls were back. I thought about doing a little catching up and then telling the guys and girls our idea of them having the rest of the day off.
But since Brian and Jimmy were making it very hard for the rest of us to get a conversation or even a straight sentence out of these girls, I planned on torturing them a little more.
Jimmy was kissing Mia like there was no tomorrow, and asking questions in between kisses, but she couldn’t even answer, because he was kissing her again. While Brian and Izzie were quietly talking, I couldn’t make out what, but they stared at each other, whispering things in each other’s ears and then I heard Izzie giggle.
So cute, I could just puke …

I looked over at Zack, sitting beside me I mouthed ‘In for some fun?’ I winked at him and he grinned with a nod.
“Guys, we need to be at the next destination in about 2 hours. We have to drive for about.. hmm.. 30 minutes, so no time for you to do some… well catching up or whatever you want to call it.”
“Wait what?” Brian looked up and I met his eyes in the review mirror.
“Sorry, man. I couldn’t plan it any other way.” I replied and tried to hide my smirk.
“No way, Matt. We are going to the hotel, Izzie and I won’t leave the fucking room, do whatever you want, but we are not coming with you.” Brian glared at me angrily and Jimmy slowly looked up to me, his eyes narrowed.
“What’s wrong with you, man? You know how much we missed them. Give us a little time… You said yourself that-” Jimmy was getting angry the more he was talking and Zack beside me tried to hid his smile behind his hand.
“James, it’s okay. We can… be together after the job, alright.” Mia said softly, stroking his cheek and making him look at her.
Jimmy seemed to calm down with her touch and kissed her again, so Mia had the magic touch for Jimmy, we just needed her on our side for whatever we wanted. I grinned at the thought, “No, no way.” Brian wasn’t convinced.
“Calm down, babe.” Izzie looked at me pleading and I couldn’t hide my smile from her this time.
“I never said we needed to be at a job? Did I?” I asked finally and saw Jimmy, Brian, Mia and Izzie looking at me, while Zack turned around with a grin.
“We reserved a table for the four of you, to have a nice double date dinner. So you can have some fun as couples and we get rid of all your happiness, catching up shit. But first, we want to all sit together and hear about the sentencing and what happened, and I don’t want to have you guys interrupting them the entire time, is that clear? Or I will call off the free evening for you.” I said and grinned.
“Asshole.” Jimmy and Brian murmured with a smile.
“Thanks Matty.” Izzie and Mia smiled at me and I nodded.

Mia’s POV
After we had a small talk with everyone and Izzie and I described everything that had happened, while I still let out some of the parts I didn’t want everyone to know, especially Jimmy.
I saw Izzie glancing at me from time to time as if she was asking why I wouldn’t tell Jimmy everything, but I thought it was better that way.

“Babe, do you know what to wear?” Izzie asked and suddenly stood beside me.
I shook my head “Not really. And you?”
“Let’s go through our clothes together.” Izzie and I were throwing things around holding shirts and tops up until we finally found the right outfit.
“Was it hard to tell Brian to go away, so we could get ready together?” I looked at Izzie.
“Yeah… but since we will have the whole evening and night together I could convince him. And Jimmy?” Izzie looked at me.
“The same…” I grinned, remembering Jimmy trying to convince me to get ready together with him, but if I would have done that and stayed in the same room with him, we would never actually leave the hotel for our double date.
“I’m really excited to go on this double date. This will be so much fun, right honey?” I looked over at Izzie and she was smiling at me.
“I know… couldn’t be any better, we together and the men we love... Did I just really say that?” Izzie glowed and I had to laugh.
“So you finally said it? The ‘L’ word?” I grinned and Izzie blushed.
“Yes, he did. Babe, I am so happy!” I went to her and hugged Izzie, she deserved to be happy.
“BABE? HOTTIE?” Brian and Jimmy’s voice sounded through the closed door.
“Are you ready?” Brian again.
“We need 10 more minutes, patience guys.” Izzie yelled back and we quickly got into the bathroom and put the finishing touch to our make-up and hair, so the guys would be stunned by their beautiful girlfriends.

Reunited and it feels so good....
Awhhhh Brian and Izzie said 'I love you' and now a double date... it's so sweet it's giving me a tooth ache ;-)
