“Fine, we will leave!” Jimmy yelled, but he stayed exactly where he was, pulling me down, I looked at him questionably, he pulled my head down to whisper in my ear very softly “If we are very quiet, we can stay here, they will never know... “That would be great, I would hate to cut your payment” The overseer turned around and walked away.
“I’m going to kill them!” I grunted. “I will go and look for them, I will be right back” I said to Johnny.
“Letting us do all the work, I liked them better when they were fighting” he replied.

I stormed over to the orchard, seeing Brian and Izzie working the vegetable field, Izzie’s head was bright red, but that could just have been the warmth.
“Where were you!?”
“We were getting water” Brian replied dryly with a smirk on his face. I knew he was lying, but I had no proof... damnit!
“Where are Jimmy and Mia?”
Brian shrugged “I don’t know”, I looked over at Izzie, who turned her head around, avoiding my stare. I looked around, there was a barn at the end of the orchard, I would try that later, hmmm, anything else? I let my look wander and saw a little tool shed, much closer by... that must be it.

As I closed up to the shed I could hear some shuffling and then Jimmy “Let’s get dressed and get out there before our sexless leader catches us”. “Jimmy, I am not joking. I am fucking furious. Get back to work! They were already searching for you!”

“We are sorry. We will get back to work.” Mia said and I looked at Jimmy and her a final time.

I stormed off and got back to work, I didn’t hear from them the rest of the working day. If I would have heard one more small complain I would rip Jimmy or Brian a new one.

We all got back to the Van when our shifts were over, thank god we also received the full amount.

I was still mad, these 4 had nearly ruined our payment and it wasn’t the first time that we had to wait for them, or hurry because of them or even lost money.

“Zack, will you drive I have to make something clear.” I sat down in the back next to Mia and Jimmy.
“Alright.” Zack and Johnny got into the front and Izzie and Brian into the back.
I looked at Jimmy and Mia feeling like a Dad who has to lecture his kids for disobeying.
“Fuck, I thought I made myself clear this morning? Did I fucking not?” I could barley restrain my temper.
“God, yes Matt. We heard you loud and clear.” Jimmy replied annoyed, not really paying attention.
“I don’t think so. You nearly ruined our payment. I told you that I understand that you are in love and that sometimes the pheromones play tricks on you and you can do whatever you want and how loud and often when you are in your hotel room but not when we are working. Gods damn it, can’t you take this serious?!” I looked at Jimmy and he stared at me angry.
"Yeah Jimmy, you know what he told you. Take this more serious!” Brian remarked from the backseat with a grin.
Jimmy turned around looking him “Shut the fuck up, Brian. Or wait, Izzie, what is that straw of hay doing in your hair, huh?” Jimmy looked self-satisfied.
“What does that mean?” I looked at Izzie and Brian and Izzie put one hand to her hair looking for the hay.
And she was blushing like crazy. “You are an ass... Just because we were in the barn before you, you had to sell us out now, huh?” Brian hit Jimmy in the back of his head.
“Fuck, I knew it. I won’t say this again. I will not tolerate any of these actions again. We are doing this for a good cause and I don’t want any of you to ruin this! I take this serious so should you. And believe me if I feel like this, I won’t take the girls on the jobs with us anymore. Then you will only see them in the evening, that’s fucking it! I didn’t agree that the girls could be coming with us so you two have the chance to fuck wherever you want and feel like it.”
Jimmy sighed loudly “We got it, okay. We didn’t mean to cause any trouble. At least I can only speak for Mia and me.”
“Yes, we got it, too. I mean... We will behave better the next time.”
I heard Johnny and Zack chuckle in the front and I closed my eyes.
We finally reached the hotel and I was happy that I could get away from these crazy motherfuckers.
“I tell you one more relapse and I will not let you work together again. Now get away from me.”

All climbed out of the Van and when I walked to the entrance I saw Jimmy waiting for me.
I sighed. “What?”
“I got a question.”
“Jimmy, it is really not the moment for questions or favours from my side. I am still pissed.”
“I know, but I have to ask you anyway.” Jimmy looked down and I knew this behaviour.
“What?”
“I want you to give Mia and me the day off tomorrow.” Jimmy asked and I looked at him with a laugh.
“You can’t be serious? After today? Why would I fucking do that? And what in the hell do you want to do?” I asked him.
“I want to go on a date with Mia, we are together. I mean really together, but we didn’t have the chance to really get to know us... I mean.. you know what I mean... I want to take her out to have a day just for her and myself.”
“No.”
“What? Why?” Jimmy demanded.
“Jimmy, why would I fucking reward you for what you did today?” I asked him and Jimmy sighed loudly again looking down on his feet.
“What is it?” I asked him again this was strange behaviour even for Jimmy.
“I just... I told her often that I feel a lot for her, that I love her. But she never said it back... she said after the whole thing with Josh, she needed time and I just wanted to show her how much she means to me and that she can trust me... but yeah... forget about it...” Jimmy turned away and I felt bad.
Shit, this guy was a genius.
“Fine. You and Mia got tomorrow off, but that’s it. After that you will not complain about jobs and you will not again sneak away during the working, I fucking mean it, James.”
Jimmy looked back at me a wide grin on his face.
“You are the best! Thanks Matt!” He hugged me and ran up the stairs and I shook my head, the kids nowadays.
