Roadtrip

Matt’s POV
I woke up and felt a small, warm body close to mine. I couldn’t remember getting home with a girl but I snuggled closer and liked the feeling of her.
I buried my face in the silky strands of her hair and inhaled her sweet smell.
I knew this scent...
“Hmm.. Matt? You wanna tell me something?” I opened my eyes to Izzie’s voice and she had a smile on her face.
“Oh shit. Sorry... I didn’t realize...” I scooted away from her and tried to hide my morning wood.
“It’s okay, don’t worry.” Izzie swung her legs out of the bed when a knock sounded on our door.
“Will you? I.. uhm.. need a second.” God, this was embarrassing...
Izzie laughed loudly and walked towards the door and opened up.
“Brian.. hey.”
Yeah, perfect timing Brian.
“Hey... I wanted to tell you the others are already down for breakfast and... you know...”
“Oh yeah, we are up, too. I’ll take a quick shower and we will follow you.”
“Oh, yeah alright. See you.. downstairs.” Izzie closed the door and sighed loudly.
“You okay?” I asked her when she walked back into my view.
“Yes.. I.. don’t know..” Izzie looked frustrated and confused.
I got up and grabbed her shoulders “Listen, we will sort this through. Today will be just about fun, alright? We will do something all together, you won’t be alone with him all the time... we will do something as a group to show you that we are in this together, against the ex and against your feelings for Brian.” I chuckled and Izzie’s eyes snapped up to mine and she pushed me away from her.
“You are not funny, Matt. Not funny at all.” I chuckled.
“And you are a bad liar. Now, let’s shower and think about something what we can do today to have some fun, okay?!”
Izzie nodded.

I watched her walking into the bathroom, I felt sorry for her, this was what happened with Brian, all these girls fell for him.
Only difference was that he usually wasn’t interested in any of them, he let go of them just as easily as dirty boxers, but he was different with Izzie, he just didn’t realize it yet and now this sweet girl was getting hurt.
Maybe I should talk, or punch, some sense in to him, Brian had always been better served by the tough approach.

Jimmy’s POV
I smiled like an idiot... couldn’t get rid of the stupid smile on my face. I kissed Mia’s temple, she was the reason that smile was there.
We sat at the breakfast table together with Zack and Johnny, waiting for Brian and the others.
“Yo Brian” He came walking towards us with a sad look on his face.
“Where is Izzie?” Johnny asked “Didn’t she sleep with you?”
“Shut up and mind your own business.” Brian sat down next to Mia.
“What happened Brian? Did you fight?” Mia asked him softly but Brian just shook his head.
“No, we didn’t. We agreed to be just friends and she rather slept in a different room.” Brian replied with a sigh.
It wasn’t sitting well with him, hell I would have gone crazy if Mia decided not to sleep in a room with me, I would have slept on the floor just to have her in the same room with me...
But yeah, Brian, he was just different... not showing how he really felt... I knew he had feelings for Izzie, but either he didn’t know how deep they actually were or he just didn’t want to have them, which both wouldn’t help him in this situation.. maybe I should have a talk with him later on!
Mia’s hand brushed over my thigh and all my thoughts left my mind.
“Will you get me a coffee?” Mia asked with a smile and I got up.
“Sure... somebody else want anything?” I looked around but they shook their heads.
I walked over to get Mia a coffee and waited until the cup was full and saw Zack leaning over to Mia, talking to her.
I knew I didn’t have a reason to be jealous, Zack was just a friend for her and he told me he just wanted to piss me of for “stealing” Mia as he put it... I guess even in 50 years when I would have my golden wedding anniversary he would still tell the story about ‘how I stole his girl’.
I smiled at the thought, grabbed the full coffee cup and walked back.
“Sure, Zack.” Mia nodded at him with a smile.
“Alright, later.” Zack smiled back at her and I narrowed my eyes a little, alright the feeling of jealousy wasn’t completely gone, but I wouldn’t give Zack the satisfaction of seeing it.

“Oh look who finally made it!” I announced when I saw Izzie and Matt arrive.
“You look especially beautiful today, honey.” Mia said with a smirk.
“What made you say that?” Izzie frowned at her.
“Your outfit, amazing.” Mia chuckled now.
“Oh yeah, ha-ha... since you occupied our room I had to borrow one of Matt’s shirt’s again. Thanks for that. And before we will go anywhere I need to get to my clothes.”
“I think it looks perfect on you, just cut it in half, and we all have more fun.” Johnny said and I saw Brian roll his eyes.
“Izzie and I thought, we should do something fun today. Something we could all have fun at and not only thinking about work and well the other problems we have. We can think about that afterwards, I think best would be a little team-game for us. So we just asked at the reception what we could be doing today.” Matt announced.
“What would that be?” I asked excitedly.
“Laser-tag.” Izzie smiled.
“Oh yeah!” Johnny yelled excitedly.
“Sounds like fun.” Zack nodded and we all agreed.
“Alright, then let’s have breakfast, after that Izzie can change and we drive over to the Laser-Tag Centre, it’s only a 20 minutes drive from here.”

Izzie’s POV
Mia and I were driving over to the laser tag place in her car. She had told Jimmy she needed to talk to me and after some wrangling, the pouting from Jimmy was fixed with a kiss, and he was in the van with the rest of the guys.

“Izzie, I want to stay with them, I can’t leave Jimmy again and I really think they want us to stay with them... All of them”
“Jimmy will hunt you down if you leave again” I agreed softly laughing without real joy
She glanced over to me, keeping one eye on the road “Honey, are you okay? What is going on?”
“Nothing... Not really... Brian and I... It’s just complicated. I don’t really want to talk about it, okay?” I sighed.
“Do you want to leave?” She sounded a little panicked, but I loved her for even suggesting it.
I shook my head “Of course not. I can sleep with Matt until we get to the next place. I can get my own room then”
“You and Matt got close over this didn’t you?”
“Yeah, he is great, he is just like a big brother to me, even though he kinda forgot that this morning” I laughed at the thought “He was so embarrassed!”
“Zack said he wanted to be my friend this morning at breakfast” Mia replied “He said Jimmy was blind when it came down to me, and he said he wanted to be there for me if there was something I couldn’t put on Jimmy. I liked him offering.”
I nodded “It is, they are all really nice” Mia pulled up to the laser tag place, the guys were already waiting for us.
“Mia, please promise me something...”
“Sure”
“You need to choose Brian in your team. I can’t have him in mine”
“Okay” she said getting out of the car.

Jimmy was already next to the car, pulling her out, kissing her. I felt a knot in my stomach when I turned my view away from them, catching Brian’s intense stare. Damnit!
“Alright, let’s make teams!” Jimmy clapped excitedly. “Who’s first?”
I pointed at Mia, expecting Mia to choose Jimmy first, and then Brian, but she surprised all of us
“Johnny”
“Hell yeah!” Johnny screamed, getting over to Mia.
“What?!” Jimmy yelled
“You’ll thank me later” she replied sweetly, kissing his cheek
Matt’s roar sounded over the parking lot “Alright, you can play with four Mia, because you have Johnny, he only counts half. “
Mia smiled knowingly, she had background information, what was this about?!
Jimmy never left Mia’s side, he clearly was already in Mia’s team, even though she never even chose him. It was my turn to pick.
“Matt”
He walked over to me, kissing my cheek and put his arm around me
“I choose Zack” Mia said. What?!
“Damn Mia! You promised!” I shot her an angry glare and she smiled at me. “You suck big time, you know!” She made a kissing motion towards me and waved “I love you too, honey”
“I pick Brian” I sighed. Brian came over to me, standing close to me and whispered “it’s okay, I get it, you are still mad at me” he backed down a little, calmly.
I sighed, this was getting messy fast!

As soon as we had the explanation of the game and we were all geared up, Matt pulled Brian and me into a huddle. “Let’s make this very quick and painful for them, Johnny is not an issue, we will get him within no time, Jimmy will stay with Mia, so you can get them at once. The problem is Zack... he is fast! I will go after him, Brian, you take out Johnny and Izzie, you will go for Mia and Jimmy, two shots, quickly” I smiled looking over at Matt and put my hand on his cheek
“Matt, you take this way to seriously, sweetie”
“Do I need to get Brian in back up for killing Jimmy and Mia? I need this job done!” He replied commanding, but with a smile on his face and I couldn’t help but laugh. I put my hand in, waiting for Matt and Brian to put theirs over mine
“Let’s do this shit!” We put our guns together, getting ready to go, waiting for the buzzer to announce the game had started.

Brian’s POV
I looked over at Izzie while Matt announced his battle plan. I was glad I ended up with Izzie, even though she didn’t really want me.
I had hoped for that, after I saw her this morning in Matt’s room with just his shirt around her slim shoulders I nearly lost it. I was about to drag her out of the room and into mine, but I held strong.

Friends... we were just friends.
Even though I knew her naked body like the back of my hand because of our encounters, the naked body I longed to have beneath me again, or atop of me... I wouldn’t be too picky about that.
But no lusting after a friend... I didn’t feel anything else, no matter what others said....

During our drive over here, I sat in the back with Matt and Jimmy and they had stared at me from the side.I knew exactly what they wanted to tell me but I kept staring ahead of me.I listened to a discussion between Zack and Johnny until Jimmy finally spoke up.
“You have to tell her.”
“What?” I snapped.
“That you like her.” Jimmy looked at me from the side and I turned my face to him.
“I..”
“Don’t start that you don’t like her, it’s written all over your face.” Matt said and I turned around to him.“Alright, I might like her, but that’s it. I like Mia as well..”
“Oh oh... don’t say that...” Matt grinned at Jimmy but he shrugged his shoulder.
“I know that there is a difference between Brian’s like of Mia and Izzie so, I don’t care.” Jimmy replied and I rolled my eyes.
“Could you two shut up? There is nothing between Izzie and me, we are friends that’s fucking it.
” I nearly yelled and that made Zack look at us in the review mirror.
“Don’t get in a fight. We are nearly there...” Zack said and I turned around to Matt and then Jimmy.
“Got it. Nothing, there is nothing! Leave it alone now.” Both Matt and Jimmy shook their heads at me.
“You could be so happy if you would just once admit that you-” Jimmy started but I interrupted him.
“I am not like you James, I don’t fall for a girl within seconds, alright?! I like her, I fucked her... end of it. We are friends, nothing more. I am not in love and I don’t have deeper feelings, are you done now?!”
“Whatever... you will see what this will get you.”
Jimmy turned to look out of the window and I sighed loudly.I didn’t wanna fight with my friends, not over a girl... a girl... they might be a little right about.
But I wasn’t in love... I am not like that... I liked her, yeah.I liked to have her in my bed, hell yeah.
But love?
No!
