Mia´s POV

No. This can’t be true. How the hell did this happen? How could it come this far? I was pacing up and down my living room, freaking out. How the hell was I going to solve this?! I looked at the little note in my hand. How could such a little piece of paper, with a couple of sentences, a few words, a bunch of letters, turn my life upside down?

I need to get out of here before shit hits the fan. My phone rang, talk about bad timing.
I looked at the caller ID. Izzie. Shit. I knew I had to pick up, she would try again and then she would come over. Breathe Mia, breathe, try to act normal. “Honey! What’s up?” My best friend was over enthusiastic, just as she always was. “Babe! What are you doing? Wanna meet me for lunch at Joe’s?” I wrinkled the piece of paper in my hand, clenching it in my fist. “I can’t, I’m kinda busy. I will talk to you later, okay?” “Okay, talk to you later babe!” I sighed as she hung up. She didn’t need to get involved in this.

I ran upstairs, grabbing a couple of bags, throwing in clothes as I went. As I was frantically packing, I noticed that I was packing like I wouldn’t come back. Maybe that was even true..... Fuck! To top the already bulging bags, I put my photo frames in it.

Back in my living room I packed my laptop, my phone and all the money I had. Just as I was walking for the door to pack my car, I was startled by a knock on my door. I put the bags back into my living room and opened the door. “Mia, you didn’t think you could fool me, right?! What is going on?” Izzie pushed pass me into my house and noticed the bags almost immediately.
“Where are you going?” I looked at her “Izzie, please leave it, I need to go” She stared back at me confused. I can understand the questions that were definitely in her head at the moment, we share everything normally. We’ve been best friends forever, she knew everything about me, as I did about her. I started to grab my bags again and walked for my car, throwing them into the trunk. “Mia, stop! What are you doing? What’s wrong? Where are you going?”

She had a scared look in her face, exactly the reason I didn’t want her here. “Izzie, I need you to stay out of this, I don’t want you to get hurt” I tried to walk on, but she stopped me by putting her hands on my arms “M, you are scaring me, tell me what’s happening please” I sighed “Iz, I need to leave for a while. I’m sorry, but that’s all I can tell you, the less you know the better” She let go of me and stood in the doorway “Fine! But then I’m coming with you.” I opened my mouth to go against her. She put her hand up to stop me from talking “No, leave it, my job sucks, my life too, I’m coming with you. I’ll help you with your stuff, we’ll drive past my house, grab my bags and then we can go wherever you want to go.”

I looked at her, I know her well enough to know better than to argue with her. I would take her with me and put her on the bus home in the next city we would stop. “Okay, let’s go”. Izzie hopped into my car “ROADTRIP!!!!” She yelled. I shook my head, and sighed. She didn’t know what she was getting herself into.

Brian's POV

I had my guitar in one hand, looked at my fingers and somehow it didn’t work.
Whatever I began to play it just didn’t work out…
I shook my head and set the guitar aside.
“Giving up already, Gates?” Matt asked from behind.
“Fuck off and show me the lyrics you wrote.” I told him.
I grabbed two beers from the fridge and sat down on the couch in our studio.
“Man… I have nothing… not a fucking chorus not even a stupid line. N-o-t-h-i-n-g.” Matt sat down next to me staring at the ceiling.Shit!
“You think Jimmy got something? He comes up with great shit when he is working at home…” I asked Matt with a shrug.
“Don’t know, haven’t heard from him in two days.” Matt answered and took a sip from his beer.
“Good sign?” I asked.
“That or he found himself something better to do…”

The door to the studio opened and I saw Johnny and Zack walking in, discussing something.
“I tell you, I have no fucking clue.” Zack said to Johnny.
“Yo, what’s up guys?” Matt asked and got up from the couch, “You also want a beer?”
“It’s like 11 in the morning and you guys drinking beer?” Zack asked.
I shrugged my shoulders, it was 11 already?
“That’s why you are my best friends.” Zack continued with a grin, “Give it to me.”
Matt opened the fridge and handed both Johnny and Zack a beer, they sat down around the studio table and Matt looked around.
“You heard from Jimmy?” Johnny asked.
“No, where is that motherfucker?” Matt asked and pulled his phone out.
“Did you continue on the solo? You got any ideas?” Zack asked me while Matt tried to call Jimmy.
“Nope… I just can’t seem to concentrate… I hope Jimmy got something.” I replied.
“Yeah, me too.” Zack shrugged we didn’t care to ask Johnny though but he kept quiet anyway.

“JIMMY? Where the fuck are you?” Matt yelled at the phone.
“What?! I am here? Don’t fucking scream at me!” Jimmy walked through the studio door but still held the phone to his ear.
“Where have you been?” Matt asked putting the phone away.Jimmy looked at all of us sitting there, “What do you mean? I have been in my car…”
“For two days?” I asked him with my eyebrow lifted.
“Is it two days ago that we have seen each other?”“Yeah..” I nodded.
“Well, then… maybe. Anyways.. guys I got this awesome idea and I already signed in but you will love it.” Jimmy said excitedly and I frowned.

Jimmy came up with the most genius or stupidest ideas… so which would it be now?!

“I signed us in for an charity event.” Jimmy said proudly and I gaped at him.
“You did what?” Matt asked him shaking his head.
“You heard me.” Jimmy replied with a frown.
“Yeah I think I heard you say you signed US in, you signed US in for WHAT?” Zack asked him also a little shocked.
“I signed US – Avenged Sevenfold in for a charity event. Beginning… in 2 days actually.” Jimmy grinned like the lunatic he sometimes was.
“What the fuck Jimmy? Are we playing a gig or what? You know that we are in the middle of writing an album… couldn’t you fucking talk to us before you make such arrangements?” Matt yelled.
“Oh Mr. Leader of the band acting up or what? Calm down, Matt… It’s not a gig… and as far as I can see none of you did any improvement on the song writing, so what the fuck.. I know you guys were thinking about going to big bear shutting us in drinking until our drunk minds write the songs for us.. but guess what.. we gonna do that in a trip around the U.S.!” Jimmy said and looked at every one of us and my brain just couldn’t come up with any solution what this charity event was about.I looked at the others and they seemed as clueless as me…
“Come again?” Johnny asked finally.

Jimmy sighed grabbed the beer from my hand and took a long… looooonnng drink and gave me the now empty bottle back.
“So.. am I right or am I right, that you guys didn’t have any ideas for songs or lyrics?” Jimmy asked and looked around.
“Nope.”
“No.”
“Ah ah.”
“See… so you guys thought about going to the cabin in big bear, right?” Jimmy asked again. We nodded in unison.
“So, why not do something fun and good on the way… guys.. this will be a hell of a fun.”
“I think hell will describe this pretty well… but I don’t hear any fun in this..” I replied.
“Wait, so what is this about…” Matt asked being all leader again.
“Alright, so it is a trip around the US, we have to earn as much money on our way’s to certain checkpoint as we can get. It will be all donated for different kind of donation campaign around the country, Against Cancer, for Hospitals, helping children around the world… I got this letter and they asked us if we would join in… damn guys you know I have a soft heart. We gotta do this, the money will be doubled up by the sponsors if we make enough money.” Jimmy explained.
“Damn, James… but we are in the middle-” Matt began but I thought Jimmy’s idea was pretty cool.

“But Matt, he is right, if we hang up in the cabin getting drunk… or if we do something with our time that also helps other… why the fuck not? I mean… come on.. how long can this take…?” I asked him and shrugged.
“Yeah, see… Johnny, Zack what do you say?” Jimmy asked.
“Well, do we have to drive on our own?” Johnny asked and I knew he was guessing that he would be our driver.
“Oh nooo, I thought we had the us 5 in a Van time behind us?” Zack complained.
Oh damn, haven’t thought about that…
“Yes, we will get a Van and a few dollars to start, but we have to give up all the other luxury, we gotta earn all the money on our way driving around.” Jimmy said and I stood up, clapped him on the back.
“So let’s do this.. How can we get better inspired then driving around the country with our best friends, drinking and having fun.. and well I think we will definitely meet some nice chicks on our way…!” I smirked and Matt laughed.
“You mean, we get all the girls, and the other have to see where they will stay, right?” Matt grinned.
“Hey! I am the ladies man.. don’t forget that!” Zack stood up, “Alright, let’s do it!”
“I’m in as well.. this will be a hell of a ride!” Johnny said and only Matt looked a little uncertain.
“Fine, if you are all agreeing, I will too. But guys, we still have to work on this trip! And next time Jimmy, you will ask us before you make such decisions.”
“Fuck yeah, this will be a hell of an adventure!” Jimmy yelled and I smiled at my best friends, yes this would definitely be hell… of an adventure.
