"Raylan, where have you been?" Johnny asked, catching up to me with the rest of the boys. "Um." That was all I could say, considering now that Brandon had shown up. "Are you running from these guys?" He asked, very angry. "No." I yelled, pushing him away from getting into a fight with any of the boys.
"What's going on here Raylan?" Brandon asked, his big blue eyes gazing into mine. "I'm sorry." I apologized, gazing into his eyes. "Again, where have you been?" Johnny asked. I just looked at everyone trying to think of what I could say. I couldn't say anything. I could tell Johnny what I've been doing but it wouldn't work. Brandon would find out who I really am. "You need to come home. You know how much Cassie has been sick worrying about you?" He yelled, making me flinch. I looked into his hazel eyes, those beautiful green crystals I had always dreamed about.
I nodded and cleared my voice to talk. "Okay. I've been here in Vegas for the past two months. Met Brandon and he's been taking care of me. I'm fine." I said, looking down at the ground not wanting to see any of their faces. "You have to come home. Your parents are worried and so isn't Cassie. You just left everyone." Johnny explained. I nodded once again. "I know I have to come home." I said.
"Wait, what?" Brandon asked, his eyes widened and I knew he was furious with me. "Brandon, I'm sorry.” I paused, not sure if I should continue. He was angry but his eyes were pleading for an answer. I couldn’t lie to him. “I’m a high school student. I'm a runaway girl." I explained, tears welling up, not sure how we would react. "Are you fucking kidding me right now!?" He was pissed. "Dude, she said she was sorry." Johnny scoffed back, standing up for me. "You’re a minor who I can get arrested for kidnapping and raping? I loved you Raylan, how could you do this to me!?" He screamed. I flinched at his screaming. I had felt so bad.
"I'm sorry Brandon." I apologized once more. "Sorry isn't good enough!" He screamed again, getting in my face. I flinched yet he didn't touch me, Johnny and the rest of the boys had already had him on the ground. "Don't you ever even think of touching her!" Johnny yelled, holding him onto the ground. Tears just flew down my cheeks. I couldn't believe I had pretty much lost Brandon and my old crush was back in my life.

"That guy was a prick." Johnny said, opening the door of their van for me. I didn't say anything. All I knew was Brandon was gone probably to never see me again. I knew he hated me for what I had done to him. I didn't blame him.
I was headed home that night, back to California. I was going to see my parents and Cassie. My life in Vegas was gone. I felt much worse going back then what I had expected to feel.
"You know this is what's best, right?" Johnny whispered. I nodded as a reply, continuing to look out the window as we flew down the highway. "Remember when Cassie told me you liked me?" He asked. I nodded while looking into his eyes. "Well I wish you wouldn't have left because I liked you too." He admitted, starting to blush. After he had said that I wished I would have never headed to Las Vegas in the first place. How dumb of me. Johnny and I could've been together right now. That's when I knew all my feelings for him had come back into mind. Then I was just wishing I would have never lost my virginity to Brandon.
