I awoke the next morning in my hotel room. I rubbed my head and sat up. "Maybe I should call her." I thought. She must be so distraught not knowing where I am. Maybe I should just try to tell her I’m alright. I shook the thought and lifted myself from the bed. I needed a job today. I got dressed and headed out.

I walked the streets for hours until I reached downtown which I heard was a good place to get a job. I walked through the doors of a place called California Hotel.

I looked around for a while until I caught a waitress in my view serving drinks. "Hello, do you have any openings for employment?" I asked the waitress. "Yeah we do actually, I'll get my boss." She smiled, walking away. I stood there for a moment until she came back with a guy walking behind her.

"Hey, Ashley here said you were looking for a job?" The man asked, shaking my hand. I nodded my head with a smile, this guy in front of me was actually quite good looking. He looked way too young to be a manager. "Awesome. My name is Brandon and I'm one of the managers here at California Hotel." He said, putting an arm around my back and guiding me to the back.

"So, why would you like to get a job at California Hotel?" He asked, obviously I was being given the interview right now. "Well, I've been a waiter before. I'm new here and I need a job really bad." I smiled and laughed a bit. He laughed too. "Well if you've been a waiter before your well qualified." He said, grinning. This guy was quite devious.

This guy was something though, he had perfectly jelled brown hair, bright blue eyes, tall and had a nice muscular build. He had a nice personality and smile and dressed very professional. Maybe this guy could be my new crush but how could I ever get over Johnny, he's been the love of my life since I was seven.
“Okay so do you have any papers, birth certificate, ID, etc.?” He asked. I immediately froze. Oh no I’m only a teen. Then I remembered, my fake ID! “Here’s my ID.” I smiled.
"Well, nice interview. I'll call you." He smiled, shaking my hand and guiding me out of his office. The interview was quick and to the point, hopefully I get the job.

Cassie's point of view.

"Where is she!" I cried, my brother holding me. He didn't find her, neither can the cops. They haven't even put out a missing person's rescue thing yet. "Cassie, she's fine." My brother said, trying to comfort me.

"I feel so bad." I whimpered. I should of never said anything. Why did she run away? She could be with Johnny in love right now if she would of just not overreacted! I’m so mad at her being so emotional all the time and he needed to know. She kept it a secret for way too long.
"Do you like her Johnny?" I asked, looking up into his eyes. "She's a cool girl Cassie, she's got great art talent but I'm not sure if she's my type." He said back. "Well that drawing she did was of you and her." I whispered. He looked at me, I knew he kind of felt bad about the whole thing.
"Raylan, please come home." I whispered to myself resting my head on Johnny’s shoulder.
