Carl’s POV

“I’m gonna call him now, let’s see.” I had saved all the necessary numbers from Matt’s phone into this prepaid phone and chose Brian’s number.
It rang.. and rang.. and rang.. and no one picked up.
For gods fucking sake!
I tried again this time directly to voicemail!
What the fuck!

I waited an hour and tried again, William looked at me expectantly.
“Holy hell, who is this?” A voice appeared on the other side of the phone.
“Is that Brian Haner jr.?”
“If you call me, you should know. Who is there? I don’t see a number!”
That was the plan.
“I got something from you and if you want it back, you should listen carefully.” I said with a smile.
“Haha very funny. Go fuck around with someone else.” Brian said and hung up.
“What did he say?” William asked.
“Ahhh fuck you! You will pay for that!” I yelled at the phone.
“He thought this was some kind of joke… but he will see that I wasn’t joking.”
“What do you want to do?” William asked excited.
“I will send him a little surprise and then we let him wait for the call.” I said and smirked.

Brian’s POV

How did these idiots got my number?
Have something from me… Idiots… what could they have.. nothing.
My phone rang again and I sighed.
“DON’T FUCKING CALL ME AGAIN!” I yelled.
“Why? Did you hear from Matt?” Zack asked and I haven’t looked at the caller, oh.
“Oh hey.. no. I didn’t… you?”
“Who shouldn’t call you again?” Zack asked.
“Don’t know, some prank or some shit… don’t know where they got my number from.” I replied.
“So.. Brian I am really worried, I drove to Matt’s again, still nothing, his phone is not responding at all and I don’t know.. I think something is really wrong.”
“Fuck.. I don’t know… You think we should go to the police?” I asked him frowning.
“Yes.. when was the last time we spoke to him?” Zack asked and sounded nervous.
“4 Days, he should have called at least…”I agreed.
“Alright, then let go to the police, I really have a bad feeling.” Zack said.
“We meet there?” I asked him.
“Yes, I will get in the car right away.”
“Me, too.”

After Zack and I stated at the police what we knew or well didn’t know and file a missing person report, we called all our friends and families if they heard anything from Matt but we became from everyone the same answer.
Nothing!
Last I called Val…
“Hey Val, you heard anything from Matt during the last days?”
“No, nothing… He told me he would call me and I shouldn’t bother calling him. Can you believe that Bri? I mean… I feel like he doesn’t want the relationship anymore? Did he say anything to you?” Val continued and continued… so she also had no clue.
Alright, now I was worried as hell.
“Sorry, Val, no he didn’t say anything… if you hear anything, you call me right?”
Silence.
“Bri? Why do you say that?”
“We haven’t heard from Matt in days and we informed the police now, something is wrong.”I told her honestly.
“And you didn’t call me earlier?” Val nearly screamed.
“Damn, we thought he just took some time off, we didn’t know something else happened, so if you hear anything call me.” With that I hung up.
Fuck!

I drove back home and saw Chelle standing in the doorway.
“Brian?”
“Yeah, babe?”
“Someone brought this envelope for you.” She handed me an envelope and I opened it quickly.
In there was a photo from Matt, lying on the floor his head bleeding.
I let all the air from my lungs, what the fuck?!
I turned around and saw there written:

Next time you shouldn’t hang up on me!
No police, you know the game!

Oh fuck… I grabbed my phone, “Zack, we meet at my house, call the others. It’s urgent!”
My hands were shaking and Chelle were crying on my shoulder I pulled her into a hug and stood there stunned… what should we do?!

Alicia’s POV

Matt seemed restless and I think if he wasn’t chained to me he would be pacing the room again.
After our shower together, which distracted me from the whole situation pretty good but went way too far… or not… I don’t know.
We were eating in silence, then Matt wanted to try an escape from the window, he was searching all the cupboards and commodes for anything that would work like a weapon or a tool but we came up empty handed.
Then he tried the window with pure muscle power but they didn’t give an inch and we heard that outside of our door were at least two people talking so we couldn’t make too much noise.

“You in for a little game?” I asked him to distract us both.
“What game?” Matt asked and frowned.
I said in front of him with a smile, “We got time and can’t do anything here so…”
“Alright..” Matt nodded.
“Fine, I’m gonna ask you a question and you have to answer honestly. Then you can ask me something or the same questions, as you wish.” I said and he grinned a little, showing his dimple.
So the distraction was working.
“Fine, you start.” He motioned to me.
“Alright, let’s start easy… what’s your full name.”
“Matthew Sanders, yours.”
“Alicia Davis, so where are you from?”
“Born and raised in California. How old are you?”
“28 you?”
“31, do you have siblings?” Matt asked.
“Nope, only child. First kiss?”
Matt laughed, “Oh so the easy questions are over?”
“That’s a hard one for you?” I asked him teasingly.
“Was not so good.” He replied.
“When?” I asked him.
“Hey it’s my turn.” Matt argued, “But I answer when I was 11 I think, now your turn.”
“Was also not so good, with 12. Your best friend?” I asked him.
“I got more than one.” He replied and then smiled sadly.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to…”
“It’s okay, Zack, Brian, Johnny, Jimmy, Arin, Jason, Matt….”
“Oh alright, famous guy, huh?” I joked.
“And you?” Matt asked.
“Not so many… Caroline, I guess.” I tried to think of more best friends but came up with no name.
I lost many friends, when I had been in hospital for a long time, the visits were less and less… only Caroline was still by my side. And I was happy that I got her… she must also be the only one who would realize my absence… she must be worried… we saw us once in a week or at least we called each other 2 times if we had no chance of meeting cause of our busy jobs, or rather my busy job and her being a busy Mom.
“She is a good friend, huh?”
“Yes, she is… always there when I needed her, which was pretty often.” I laughed.
“Why is that?” Matt asked.
“I had a pretty rough time… a few years ago… but.. yeah, she was there.” I smiled.
“Rough time… hm…” Matt seemed lost in his thoughts.
“Maybe it’s time to go to bed, huh?” I asked him.
“Yes, you are right. Come here.” Matt said and motioned me next to his side.
Without hesitation I moved over to him and laid myself in front of his body, then I moved back so my back was pressed against his front.
“Hmmm…” Matt groaned and I turned to look at him.
“Sorry… I didn’t mean to…” He said and his cheeks were a little pink.
“Matt?”
“Hmm?” He still looked embarrassed.
“I like your body close to mine, you make me feel safe here.” I told him and his eyes opened a little wider then he smiled and it looked like a teenager again with that smirk.
“You know that I can’t sleep now, do you?” Matt smirked.
“But you better try…” I told him and let my head drop on his arm and close my eyes.
“Alicia? I liked the question-answer game… we should continue that tomorrow, I wanna know more about you.”
My eyes wouldn’t open again, they were so heavy suddenly, “Hmm.. let’s do that..”
I snuggled even firmer against him and soon I didn’t hear anything and was sound asleep.
