Hostage

Matt’s POV

I was so tired but my eyes just wouldn’t close.
I had one arm around the small waist of Alicia and she lay with her head on my other arm which was chained to hers.
It was a comfortable position, I thought at first… but even in this situation lying so close to a woman in this way was stirring some thoughts that were pretty much inappropriate.
And if she knew what I was thinking she wouldn’t be sleeping so peacefully.
I still had to think how we could get out of here the fastest but my brain wasn’t working, I felt exhausted, hungry, tired and my head still hurt.
I moved my arm a little and Alicia turned a little and I looked at her face again.
So she was just here because of bad timing, she shouldn’t be here at all, they wanted me… and she had bad luck, I hope nothing would happen to her and this would be over soon…
She told me she lived alone, but I guess her boyfriend or something must be waiting for her…
I hope Brian and the other had figured out that something was wrong and would inform the cops!
While thinking about this further finally I could close my eyes and let sleep take me away from here.

“Look at them, maybe I should have chained her to me instead of him, huh?” I opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was Alicia’s hair, she was not longer lying on my arms but our chained arms were both beneath her right side, our fingers even intertwined and she was plastered close to me.
“Does she feel good, Matthew? So close to you?” the leader of them asked and came closer to the bed I felt Alicia stiffen in my arms, she seemed awake now and tried to move farther away from him.
I didn’t comment his question and just glared at him.
“You two slept pretty long… we got something to eat for you.” the other one said and dropped a bag on the table.
I felt my stomach rumble, I haven’t eaten in at last two days and now I really felt the hunger.
“So get up sleepy heads and get something to eat, we don’t want you to starve, do we?!”
I smelled the food, must be fries and a burger or something, damn I was so hungry all of a sudden.
“So you will eat something now and after that I will come back and we will have a little talk.
Ahhh little Alicia, don’t be afraid of me.. I won’t hurt you.. at least if you play along nicely, I won’t…” he grinned evilly at her and she turned her head away from him.
He let his finger cares her cheek and I felt the need to punch him and push him away.
Alicia held still, I saw tears glistening in her eyes.
“Don’t touch her!” I told him trying to sound not too pissed, I knew that would set him off even more.
“Oh, you don’t have to tell me what I do and don’t…”
“But she has nothing to do with any of this, you said it yourself.” I tried to reason.
“Yeah, I know.. but now she is here… and maybe I get bored.. when this will take too long… then I am glad that she is here…” He put his hand on her cheek again and I heard Alicia trying to stifle her cry.
“Don’t cry, I haven’t done anything yet, have I?” He said to her and leaned in, he put his lips to her cheek and I really had to control my temper not to jump up and beat him, but I saw his friend this time with the gun standing near the bed, watching my moves.
I breathed deeply in and my muscles tensed.
“Alright.. get up and eat. We give you 30 minutes then we talk.” He said and motioned his friend to the door.
When they closed the door I still felt Alicia shiver uncontrollably and I pulled her more into my body.
“Ssshhh… Alicia, I promise you he won’t hurt you. I will take care…” I said, it was meant to soothe her but it was the truth, she really was innocent in this and I would not allow anything to happen to her.
She nodded her head and turned to the side, damn she was a strong woman.
I could see that she had tears on her cheeks, but she didn’t make a sound, she tried to be strong even if she wasn’t feeling it and a lot of woman would have freaked out by now would be screaming and crying all the time but she was different and I was glad.
“Come on, you also must be hungry, right? Let’s eat something, we have to be strong for the one chance..”
She looked up into my eyes, “Which chance?”
“When they make a mistake, we have to be watchful, we have to take everything in, they will do a mistake at one point and then we will get our chance to escape, I promise you, we will get out of here.” I told her and looked deeply into her eyes.
We stared at each other like that for a while neither of us saying anything, I knew her for what 3 days now? But throughout the situation I felt so close to her…
I broke the eye contact and slowly sat up so I wouldn’t accidently hurt her through the chains.
When we were both sitting I leaned to the table and grabbed the bag with the food a pulled the burger and fries out.
I looked at Alicia and she was already grabbing for the fries and was about to put them in her mouth and I had to smile.
“What? I’m hungry? Couldn’t you hear my stomach rumble?” She asked and smiled as well.
“No, I couldn’t… you know why? My stomach must have been louder, damn I could eat a whole cow now.” I told her with a small laugh and unwrapped one of the burgers and shoved them into my mouth.

Carl’s POV

It’s been exactly 30 min. now. I opened the door and saw them still sitting on the bed together.
The food was gone and they were talking to each other when they spotted me their conversation stopped.
Had they been talking about a way to escape?!
There was no way.
“Did you like your meal?” I asked them with a smirk.
“Awesome.” The dry reply from Matthew and I smiled even more.
“Alright, so.. listen… You know what this is about right, Matthew? So I wanna talk to you alone, I will get your little friend out and we have a nice conversation…” I said and motioned for Sean to come inside.
“No, no no!” The girl – Alicia said and looked wildly at Matthew.
“She stays!” Matthew said and laid his arm around her waist, interesting.
“Didn’t I tell you that I make the rules?” I asked again.
“But alright, I let you get away this time… So Matthew, when I want something from you, who do you think I should rather call? Brian? Johnny? Zacky? Arin?” I asked him and looked closely.
“What do you want from them?” Matt asked and I saw that he balled his hands to fists.
“I want to call them, have a little talk… Don’t worry. So which of them do you think will be the one I should talk to?”
“Brian.”
“Alright, then I will call Brian tomorrow. Better hope that he will cooperate…” I got up from the bed and looked at them again, “OH and by the way guys… it’s been more than 3 days now, there is a shower inside you know… use it! But Alicia, darling… if you need some help with the soaping I will give you a hand.” I smiled at her and she widely opened her eyes at me and I saw fear in them which made this even more interesting, I liked it when they feared me.
It was so much more fun…
“So what do you say Alicia, should I unchain you and hop with you into that shower stall? Wouldn’t you like that? To get rid of that handcuff?” I smiled at her my eyebrow lifted.
“Never.” I heard her say quietly and she surprised me with that.
I liked that, too.
“Never? Really Alicia? You are rather handcuffed to him? I think you will think better of it this decision in the next few days.” I said and moved away from the wall I was leaning on.
She kept quiet now, “Alright… until tomorrow and think about the shower, I can only recommend it.”
I walked towards the door and looked at Sean he nodded at me and we walked outside, tomorrow we would have the first call with his friends about the money.
Let’s see how that would be working out.
