Hostage

Alicia’s POV

“Mrs. Davis, I have the results to your test.” Dr. Travis sat behind his desk opening the folder.
“Our suspicion was right and we are glad to tell you that, the cancer is not back. You are healthy Mrs. Davis.”
I looked at him, I had heard him but I still couldn’t believe it. I was not ill… I was really not ill?
The cancer was not back?!

I blinked and felt a tear run down my cheek, then I was pulled into strong arms and being hugged, suddenly I felt lips on mine and I blinked again, Zacky stood in front of me, a grin on his face, talking to me but I couldn’t hear him, I couldn’t react.
He softly guided me down on my chair and I swallowed, even more tears running down my cheeks.
I was so sure, that I would get bad news, that he would tell me I had to stay right here… I couldn’t believe this…
“Mrs. Davis?”
“Alicia?”
“Hmm…” Finally I looked around and saw Zack’s concerned face in front of me.
“Did you hear, you are not ill, everything is fine. You are fine!” He said and laughed.
“Yes, I cannot believe it, I mean.. I was so sure that… I just…” I stuttered looking at Dr. Travis.
“We had to redo the test, because the first results were not precise enough. We didn’t want to give you a false hope and tell you that everything was fine if there was still a slight chance that we could find anything. That’s why this time we really made sure that no questions were open anymore.”
“Thank you.” I got up from my chair hugging Dr. Travis, I just had to, I was so happy, no hospital was waiting for me.
I felt so alive suddenly, so happy I could hug the whole world.
“Not my doing. But Mrs. Davis, please keep in mind that you come regularly to your check up, there is always a small chance that something will be coming back thought out the years, and we want to be prepared.” I nodded.
“Yes, of course, I will keep the check up’s in mind.” He held his hand out again and I shook it.
“Good to hear. Then I wish you a nice day!” He also shook Zack’s hand.
“We will.” I think I saw the doctor wink at Zack.

I turned towards Zack when the doctor was out of the door. “Did he really just wink at you?”
“I guess he did…” Zack grinned and in his eyes I saw a mischievous glint.
“Alicia?”
“Hmm.. yes?” I looked up to him, couldn’t take my eyes off his gorgeous green ones.
“Now without interruptions?” Zack asked.
I nodded and Zack grabbed my waist and pulled me towards him, then he leaned down and our lips met, I closed my eyes and enjoyed it, he opened his mouth and I felt him lick my bottom lip, the piercings on his bottom lip giving a little pressure on mine, which made me open my mouth to let him in completely.
His tongue met mine and I pressed myself even firmer against his body, his hands moved around my waist and stopped in the small of my back.
When the kiss ended, I slightly pulled away, what a kiss… I opened my eyes and stared directly into his.
“Worth the wait.” Zack grinned.
“Yes!”
“Come on, let’s get out of here, we need to do some shopping after that I will cook for you and we need to buy something to really celebrate your results. Oh and we need to call Caroline.” Zack sounded even more excited than me.
“Maybe we should call Caroline tomorrow? I would like to have this afternoon just for me… or well us?”
Zack lifted an eyebrow at me and then smirked.
“Sounds like a good plan to me.”

Zack’s POV

We had a blast, packing the cart at the shopping center with everything we could enjoy in the evening, after that was done, we stopped at her house so she could grab some clothes and personal items after that we went over to mine.

I showed Alicia around, she had a smile on her face the entire time.
She was even more beautiful then normally.
I was so glad that she was healthy that her fear was unfounded and now nothing stood between us.
Or well that was what I thought… until she had a serious look on her face.
“Zack?”
I looked over at hear, we had just finished our dinner.We cooked together, because honestly I wasn’t that skilled in the kitchen, but with her help we did pretty good.
I had decorated the table with her help, to have a real candle light dinner.
It was already dark outside, only the candles lit my dining room.
“Yeah?”
I looked over at her frowning a little.
“If we really want this to work… at least… if we want to try this… us… I think we should be completely honest, right from the start.” She said and I frowned even more.
“Yes, of course.” I nodded and moved away from my chair.

I held my hand out and we both grabbed our glasses and sat down on my couch.
She breathed deeply in and out.
“I have to tell you something, you know a lot about me already, maybe more than most people, but I didn’t tell you one important thing, that you should know. And please do the same if you have anything that I should know, alright? Let us get this out before we commit to anything…”
“Is it that bad?” I asked her a little nervous.
“No.. or I don’t know how you will see this but… let me explain.” I took her hand in mind and on her expression I could already tell that it must have something to do with the abduction.
“Alright, tell me. I won’t judge.” She squeezed my hand a little and then looked up “Don’t say that before I tell you.”
I didn’t know what to say, so I just stayed quiet and waited for her to tell me.
“Alright, so… you already know that Matt and I got pretty close during the abduction. I told you that without him, I would have never made it this far, he protected me when he could and we were the anchor for each other, I guess.”
I nodded “Yes, I know.”
“So, we also had to… be close… I mean… we were chained together at first. His wrist to mine, we had to be close physically the entire time.”
“Oh..” I didn’t know that, I thought they both had been chained but not to each other…
“Yes, and the first close contact was when we showered together, I mean… nothing happened then… We just helped each other, since Matt was full of blood from his head wound and well… anyway…” She looked down a little nervous, biting her lips.
“Alright, I see… but that’s okay, Alicia… that’s just what it was like in the situation, how could you even think that I would have a problem with it…” I didn’t like the idea too much about her being naked with Matt, but that was the only way in that situation, nothing wrong.
“That’s not all… I.. we.. slept… we had sex.” She finally said and I didn’t know if I heard her correctly.
“You.. did what?”
“We had sex… we became so close and it just happened… I should never have happened but yeah it did and...” She shook her head. “I just wanted to tell you this…”
“I don’t really know what to think of that… I mean.. I didn’t even really know you when this had happened between the two of you… but now I do and it’s kind of weird to hear, that you have been so intimate with him but that doesn’t change that I still like to be with you…” I thought about this and waited for a moment but it was the truth… I might feel a little jealous that Matt had been with Alicia the way I wanted to be with her, but I had no right.
We weren’t together then and Matt showed no real interest in her anymore, so the thing between them was over anyway. Matt seemed to be together with Val again and I wanted to have Alicia.

“I don’t know… I just thought I should tell you this. I didn’t want you to find out later and think that I lied to you or something…” Alicia looked shy and had pulled her hand away from me.
“Thank you.” I put my hand underneath her chin and made her look at me.
“Thank you?” She looked confused.
“Thank you for telling me, I can tell you I am not really excited to know that he was with you that way, but I am glad that you were honest with me. But like I said this doesn’t change that I want to be with you, Alicia.” I kissed her softly and felt Alicia sigh.
Maybe I should be happy that Val made such an effort to get Matt back, and finally succeeding as it sounded on the phone call with Val earlier.
Because during the BBQ at Brian I saw the look that Matt had thrown at Alicia and I wasn’t too sure what that had meant, but now that explained why he reacted that way towards her…
Had he still feelings? But then he would have said something, wouldn’t he?
Too late now anyway… he wouldn’t have been so close to Val again, if he still had feelings for her.
I leaned back on the couch, pulling Alicia into my body, holing her close, now was our time… I shouldn’t be thinking about the past anymore…
