you saved me

*Jessy's POV*
"Here Matt," I said as I handed Matt a plate with two slices of toast on it. He brought himself to a sitting position and grabbed the plate. I ploped onto the couch beside him. "You alright?" He asked inbetween bites. "Yeah I'm just.... I'm fine." I answered, trying to convince him I was being honest. "You don't look 'fine'," Matt said accusingly, "and you sure as hell aren't acting fine. You're way to quiet to be fine. Now what's wrong? You can tell me."
I shighed, wishing he wasn't so God damn observant. "Okay," I said after a minute, "you got me, I'm not fine. Actually I am completley freaking out right now." "You can tell me," he said gently, "I won't judge you." "Well," I started, "earlier when I was going to get you some clean clothes I over heard Johnny and Zack having a conversation. Johnny asked if he was worried about us being together like that and Zack said no because he trusted me. It just made me think, why? Why does he trust me? He's only known me for what? Two weeks? We barley know eachother! All we know is that the love is there. But I'm worried it's going to burn out just as quickly as it ignited."
I was nearly i tears when I finished. "Come here," Matt said gently as he opened his arms. I curled up into his chest but it didn't feel right. When I cuddled with Zack I always felt so at peace, being with any one else just wasn't the same. "It's okay sweety," he whispered as he trailed his fingers up and down my arm, "Zack's never going to stop loving you. I can see it in the way he looks at you. The only thing that this flame is going to do is grow stronger."
*Zack's POV*
"Well look who's awake!" Jimmy shouted as we entered the bus. Matt hushed him instantly, "Jessy's sleeping." He explained queitly as he stood from the couch. Next thing I knew him and I were nearly chest to chest, "we need to step outside and have a little talk," he whispered. I nodded and followed him out the door.
"Matt what happened while I was gone?" I asked nervously. "Jess and I had a little heart to heart," Matt explained, "she's scared man. She thinks things are moving too fast and that things will end because of that. She just feels like she doesn't know you, I really think you need to do something before she gets herself too worked up."
Matt was right, I've never even taken Jessy on a date before. I slid down the side of the bus and flopped liflessly onto the ground. "Hey cheer up Baker!" Matt said, "she didn't say she doesn't love you. I just think maybe she doesn't understand why she loves you. You just need to show her why. Go to diner or the bar, just the two of you. Spend hours just sitting and talking about the most random things. I know it doesn't sound like things she'd like but she doesn't want people to know that side of her. You need to start trusting her with things so she'll trust you."
I sighed, "but I do trust her, I trust her with all of my heart. How do I make her see that?" I said looking up at Matt desperatly. "Secerets," Matt said, "you have anything you've never told anybody before?" I nodded. "Then tell her those secerets, and make sure she knows that nobody else knows. Make her feel special."
I started to speak but Matt stopped me before I started, "in more than just the bedroom," he said with a cheeky grin, "making her feel special in the bedroom may help but you need to make her feel special anywhere she is. It's not all about sex." As much as I didn't want him to be, Matt was right. I needed to start seeing through Jessy's mask. She's good at hiding her true feelings so I need to get better at finding them.
