Chapter 12
~Jess's POV~
I nervously began to curl my hair as I read a text from Brian in regards of our date.
'Make sure you wear that white and black dress that you wore to my birthday party last year. can't wait to see you looking all beautiful- shit, you always look beautiful. Anyways. I'll pick you up in a bit. -B'
I smiled at how Brian remembered what I wore to his birthday, considering the fact that I don't even remember that night. Placing my curling iron on my bathroom counter, I walked into my closet and dug out the dress I haven't worn in a long time. Hopefully it still fits me. I managed to squeeze my body into the dress, and I somehow was still able to fit into it.
"Knock, knock."
"Jesus Bri! At least make yourself known when you walk into my house! I could have had a heart attack!" I huffed with my hand over my heart, trying to calm down. Being the goofball Brian is, he only laughed and rolled his eyes at me as if I did something wrong.
"Anyways, lets go. We have reservations at this new French restaurant downtown." Smiling, I grabbed my bag and walked towards him, and following him out the door. "You look gorgeous tonight."
"Why thank you. You look handsome. Who would've known, Synyster Gates can actually clean up quite nicely." I smirked, knowing he would get offended. "So why are we eating out?"
"What wrong with wanting to take my girlfriend and child out to dinner? And also because I needed a break from the studio. We are like halfway done- oh that reminds me, can you come with me to the studio tomorrow?" Brian looked at me with hopeful eyes.
"Of course I will." He smiled widely and placed a hand on my flat stomach, rubbing light circles. Even though I was wearing a dress, I could still feel the callouses thorugh the fabric. That's something I love about Brian. I love how rough his hands are and that makes him seem like a rough person, but he's actually really gentle.
The ride to the restaurant was quite peaceful, except for me occasionally yelling at Brian for slamming on the brakes or him driving carelessly. Safely and in one piece, we arrived at the new restaurant/ Brian parked and he got out, walking over to my side and opening the door with a cheesy smile on his face.He intertwined our finger while we walked to the door.
"Name?" The waitress asked us.
"Haner." Brian replied. The man looked down at his book, and grabbed two menus, leading us towards a private area.
"Here you go. I will come back shortly to get your drinks."
"Thanks." Brian pulled out my chair, then pushed it back in once I sat.
"This place is beautiful." I gawked at all the beautiful lighting that surrounded us. I looked back at Brian and his cheekbones were more prominent in this lighting, and it was sort of hot.
"Look Jess, the reason why I brought you here was to ask you something." My heart started to beat rapidly and I could feel my body shake with anxiety as Brian walked towards me.
"Bri?" He helped me stand up and then he got down on one knee. Instantly, my hand flew to my mouth and my eyes watered up.
"Jessica, I have known you for years, ever since I was a kid. We grew up together and we were best friends. I can't say that I never had feelings for you because I would be telling a lie. I've loved you since forever and the fact that you are having my child is probably the best thing to ever happen to me. You are all I think about; you and the baby." Sobs escaped my mouth, tears blurring my vision a bit. I began to worry about my makeup, but that wasn't important.
"So, will you do the extraordinary honor of becoming Mrs. Haner?" I didn't need to think twice. I knew what I wanted and who I wanted and that was Brian.
"Of course I will." Brian slid the cold, diamond ring onto my finger. He looked into my eyes and I instantly knew that I made the right decision. Kissing me passionately, he pulled me close to his body,then, he bent down and kissed my stomach.
"I love you Jessica. I always have and I always will."
"I love you too Brian."

I am so sorry that it took me forever to write such a shitty chapter! I've been so busy with freshman year and cross country. I have practice tomorrow at 6 in the A.M so I forced myself to write this. Again, I apologize for how crappy it is.
