Betrayed

The next day I went to the grocery store to purchase some ice cream.
When I returned home I wasn’t surprised to see agent Gabe and his partner agent Rudolph.
They stood by the front door dressed in black suits, black hats, black shoes, and black glasses.
I shook my head as I neared them “what now?”
They turned to me and agent Gabe who had green eyes, short dark hair, and soul patch smiled. “Hello Aurora, how are you?”
“I’m fine what’s up?” I asked staring at my ice cream cone that I had decided to eat on the way home.
Agent Gabe sighed “we have terrible news”
I raised an eyebrow urging him to continue
He removed his glasses and slipped them in his pocket “your mother was in a car accident.”
I shrugged “so?”
Agent Rudolph finally spoke up “so she didn’t make it”
I froze as the never ending wave of shock rolled through my body.
Alone, I was alone.
I didn’t really hate my mother I loved her so much, I only wanted to make her happy. I knew we had our little arguments, but she always forgave me and she was the only one there who took care of me. No one else fed me, no one else sheltered me, and no one else would ever be able to give me parenting advice.
I released the grip on my ice cream cone and listened to it splatter against the floor.
Agent Gabe wrapped his hands around my arms when I started to wobble. He pulled me in for a hug and shushed me.
I pulled away. And asked “and what you’re here to tell me that he cut her brakes or killed her him self some how?”
They laughed “how’d you guess?”
I glared “it wasn’t Matt. He wouldn’t do that to me”
Agent Rudolph laughed “oh really? What about that friend of yours Steve? Or your dog or the girl we found dead in a park bench that you call rose?”
Agent Gabe hit agent Rudolph the arm.
It couldn’t have been true. Rose was alive and at work right about now. She had at been.
I pushed them away and said “leave my property now”
Agent Rudolph smirked “or what?”
I tried to think of some thing but they were F.B.I. I settled with glaring at him.
My eyes caught some thing in the yard, I looked up and saw it was a man in a dark trench coat; he was sporting a base ball cap with a red A.
He walked up the little steps removing his glasses.
Zacky.
I watched as his eyes turned red right before turning to the agents and speaking dangerously slow “or I will tear you limb from limb.”
I turned to the agents and watched them swallow there saliva, and stand still.
Zacky put his hand on my check and said “get inside Rory” I nodded and opened the door. Zacky stayed out side for a moment.
I stood by the closet waiting for him.
When he finally entered he made his way to me. I hugged him and cried.
He held me while I cried and didn’t say any thing.
Once I was just breathing heavily and sniffling he walked us to my bedroom and had me sit on the bed.
“You want some water?” he asked me as he closed all the blinds. The room darkened immediately. He threw his trench coat over my desk, his hat quickly followed.
I shook my head and laid down “did he hurt my mom?” I asked
Zacky turned to me and sighed “yeah, said some thing about her upsetting you to much”
I glared at him and got out of bed yelling “oh so he killed my mom? What the fuck you guys a twisted, sick, bastards all of you. How could you let him? I hate him I hate you. You ruined my life! Go tell him to fuck him self I’m not having this kid”
Zacky shoved me on the bed and yelled back “hey watch it! I didn’t do shit, I never had a part in you and Matt’s little what ever. I’m not your fucking messenger! And what do you plan on doing huh?”
I stood up and reached in my pockets and dialed the clinics number.
He stared down at me not knowing who I was calling; anger seeped out of his eyes.
“Hello Huntington community clinic”
I smiled “hi I want an appointment for today, I need to have an abortion” I told her how far along the doctor said I looked like I was and hung up.
“That’s what I’m going to do”
