The Wicked End

Let it Go

I stared at the guy as his friends dragged him out of the club I reached for my phone and texted every one ‘I’m going to hop over to the next bar’ I put my phone in my pocket and followed the guys. I needed him. He liked me and I know it so he’s going to tell me. They walked out of the club I waited a few moments then walked out looking around to see which way they went. I saw two figures walking down the street. I smiled upon seeing the broad shoulders that belonged to the hansom guy. There had been three at the bar one was missing. The guy walking with Matt was laughing “let it go” he was the one with the longer hair the one I had spilled a beer on.
I stopped to light a cigarette
I leaned on a cement wall and let them walk off for a few moments. They stopped and turned around slowly. I jumped in a bush and laughed as they kept walking. I followed them soon Matt my hansom guy took a right in to a dark alley the other guy walked straight. I followed my hansom of course. Once I was far in the alley I realized he was gone. I groaned “damn it” and turned to walk back, I lost him.
As I neared the street I saw a silhouette. I stopped dead in my tracks. There was laughter coming from him. I turned around he followed and grabbed my hand “where you going girl?” I pulled away “none of your business” I spat. He laughed “oh you think?” I pushed him “get lost” he didn’t want to he grabbed me again and pushed me in to a wall. I kneed him in the groin and watched as he leaned over. I took this as my chance to get away.
I ran further in to the alley and ended up in a street I looked around and saw people scattered around, some sat on the ground with blankets and other leaned on walls talking with groups of people. I pulled off my high heels and walked down the street with them in my hands. Is this where my hansom guy walked off to? I stopped when I saw a guy and a girl making out on a wall.
Next to them was a teenage boy. He was scrawny wore torn pants and a torn misfits shirt. He was home-less, not older than 16 and held a syringe in his right hand. His left arm was out reached with a rubber band around the upper arm. He looked up at me. I blinked I didn’t think a smile would be adequate. His eyes were dark and tiered, his cheek bones popped out, his lips were cracked and dry, and his hair was a black mess. He turned back to his arm. I knew if I ever wanted to find my hansom guy I needed to walk on but I couldn’t help but stare. He poked the needle in his arm and closed his eyes as he released what was in it.
