Not a bad thing

Matt’s POV
Lynn was looking at me like I was some kind of criminal. I’m normally not that easily intimidated, but she made me feel it. She had some beef with me and wasn’t going to lay off. She was looking at me with an angry stare “What’s up, Lynn?”. Her finger pointed at me “You planted in Izzie’s head that you like her, but I want to know what your real intentions are, Sanders! That girl has been hurt more than she could really take the past few years, but she hung in there. You are not going to put her over the edge.” I looked down at the feisty little woman. I immediately understood why Brian was so hung up on her. She kicked ass badly. But she was wrong this time. “What are you talking about Lynn? I really like Izzie. I do want to date her. I want to take it slow, I’m not going to rush her into things” She didn’t look convinced. “Look, Matt, you’re nice. I give you that. But Izzie needs a boyfriend, not a one night stand. I will let you in on a secret. This nice, beautiful, amazing girl has been cheated on a lot in the past. If you can’t be a one-woman-man, you have to walk away. She doesn’t need to be broken into a thousand pieces once more. I don’t know if I can fix her again”. She still looked at me angry, but her eyes didn’t participate in the angriness, her eyes looked worried. I took her hands in mine “Look Lynn, I can’t promise you we will last forever, but I have every intention of treating her right. If she needs me to be a one-woman-man, I will be a one-woman-man, I can do that. You are just worried about her, I understand that, I have best friends too”

Suddenly I was pushed away from Lynn, and she was dragged inside by Brian. He turned around, standing still all of a sudden, making Lynn bump into him hard. He screamed at me “I will deal with you later Shadz! You asshole!” What has gotten into him, did he find out? I quickly walked inside. Lizzy, Johnny, Vanessa, Arin, Elise and Zacky were already at the table. Izzie just came in, her hands full of food. She looked at me hopefully, I shrugged “What the hell is up with Brian?” Zacky looked at me “Are you that stupid Matt? He walked into the room, saw you standing there with Lynn. He flipped. Why did you make a move on her anyways, you know Brian is hung up on her, I will not break you two up when he comes back. You will get your ass kicked” Zacky grabbed his mug and poured the coffee. “I didn’t do anything with Lynn! She was worried, I tried to comfort her. That’s all! Damn, Brian will be so pissed, for nothing.” I sat down at the table, still muttering. Why did Brian need to be such a hothead!

Brian’s POV.
With friends like Matt, you didn’t need any enemies. I saw him standing outside, Lynn’s hands in his hands, him looking into her eyes deeply. Didn’t he listen when I told him I really like that woman? That’s the problem with Matt, he will just grab every woman he could get his hands on, even if his best friend might have fallen for her. I would never trust him with my sister or one of my best friends, he might be my best friend, but he’s an ass when it comes to women. I needed to do something about this.
I stormed out and grabbed Lynn with me “I will deal with you later Shadz! You asshole!” but I had to do a more important thing first. Lynn. I dragged her up to my music room. “What the hell were you doing with Matt? Is that your way of getting back to me? With my best friend?” I yelled at her. She looked at me icy calm “If you are going to yell at me some more, I won’t even bother to stay and listen, Brian. Get lost.” Lynn started to walk for the door. “No, you are not going to leave again. You are going to stand here and talk to me.” I moved quickly and stood in front of the door. She came to a halt, angry look on her face “I don’t owe you anything Brian! You’ve lost all your rights when you...” I just couldn’t let her say it again. I jolted forward, got a hold of her waist, turned her around, pushed her against the door and kissed her hard. I felt her fight me. She was so tiny, but fought so hard. She kept her lips shut together, not giving in to me one tiny bit. She stomped my chest, so I pulled her even closer, holding her even firmer. I licked her lips, my hands stroking her back softly. I could feel her relax, little by little. She started to kiss me back. That´s it. “Why don’t you let me be with you Lynn? You drive me crazy.” I whispered against her lips. She backed away from me a little. Shit, what did I say wrong this time? “You will just hurt me Brian, we both know that. You can’t be just with me. Maybe for now it’s fine. But then you will go on tour again, meeting all these other girls, and it would be so easy. The great Synyster Gates, ready to go, at all times. I will worry, and then I will get jealous, and then we will fight, and then... “ She looked at me shyly. Damn, did she have issues.

I sat down on the piano bench, pulling her on my lap. “You know, those are a lot of assumptions your doing there. No woman made me feel the way you do. You are only talking about Synyster Gates´ reputation. You never even mentioned Brian Haner. I, Brian, I like you. You have this magical effect on me. You make my blood boil, you turn me on, you make me scream in frustration, you make me want to be with you all the time and most of all, you make me wanna get up in the morning again. Since Jimmy died I didn´t have much reason to get up in the morning, but then I found Lizzy. She has been there for me all the time, but couldn´t get me to get rid of all the women. And then I ran in to Izzie again and the sun came through a little. It really bursted through when I met you the next day. I don´t believe in love at first sight, but I was mesmerized by you” Lynn was looking at me with her mouth open, she just stared at me “Is the cocky Brian Haner really confessing his love to me?” I laughed “You know what Lynn, I can’t promise you a happy every after, but I will do my best to make you happy. I think you want to be with me too, so let’s just try it” She was still looking at me amazed. She slowly started to run her fingers through my hair. “How do I know this isn’t one of your tricks?” I chuckled “Do you really think I will be this kind of a wuss with every woman I meet? Do you really think I’m going to beat up my best friend for just any woman?”

She looked me in the eye “Don’t be angry with Matt, nothing happened, he was just comforting me” I looked at her questioningly “Why did you need comforting?” She shrugged “Lizzy and Izzie talked to me about you, I wasn’t sure what to do, I needed a man’s opinion.” Something was off, but she leaned forward and kissed me, letting me forget that I thought something was off. “Okay, let’s try this” I pulled her closer to me “Are you serious? This isn’t a joke?! You will be my woman? Mine? No one else’s?” I tried to gain my cool, I was almost begging her, and this man doesn’t beg. She laughed a little “Yes yours, but only if you get your balls back from where ever you left them before you started begging me. And let me remind you, you will be only mine. If any other woman is found near you, I would be gladly kicking their ass and yours for that fact!” I got up, pulled her against me and swirled her around the room, as far as that was possible with all the instruments around. “Let’s go downstairs and tell everyone” I felt the smile on my face getting wider and wider. “Then we will eat and throw everyone out. I need to have my way with you for a long time. You don’t need to go to work tomorrow right?!” Lynn giggled “Yes, I do, but if you do your best, I might call in sick” She kissed me again and I took her hand in mine, entwining our fingers together. This felt so incredibly good. While we were walking down the stairs, I thought about how Lynn was right, I needed my balls back, I lost them somewhere down the road of confessing everything to her.

Izzie’s POV
We were all sitting at the table, talking a little, but most of all keeping our ears out for what was happening in the music room. We heard Brian and Lynn enter the room over a half hour ago and they still hadn’t come out. We didn’t hear anything breaking either, so they weren’t slamming in each other’s heads. Matt was fidgeting next to me. I put my hand on his leg under the table, he looked at me “Nothing happened between Lynn and me” he whispered. “I know” I mouthed back. Suddenly we heard the door open and then some giggling. We all sat up straight, waiting for them to come in. I wondered what happened. Brian came in, his hand in Lynn’s. He looked proud and stood in front of the table, ready to make an announcement “Guys, meet my girlfriend” He pulled Lynn close and kissed her softly. I was looking at my best friend or maybe I should say friends, they looked happy. Lynn looked at Brian full of love. He managed to convince her apparently. Brian pulled out a chair for Lynn and sat down himself too. Everyone continued the lunch “Damn Izzie, you can really cook!” Brian sighed. Everyone made confirming sounds. I smiled. I loved to cook, but I loved it even more when it was for friends like this. I’m a lucky person. “I’m going to make some more coffee, Lynn, could you please help?” Lynn smiled at me “Of course babe, no problem” Brian kissed her hand before she followed me to the kitchen.

Lynn looked at me “He was so sweet Izzie, he said so many nice things, he...” I interrupted her “As much as I want to know the details, for now I only need to know one thing. Are you happy?” I kinda already knew the answer. Her face glowed, “Yes, I am”. I hugged her “That’s all I want”. I wanted to walk into the dining room again “Izzie, wait. I had a talk with Matt. I think he might really like you.” I turned around “You think so? Do I have you permission?” I laughed a little. Lynn laughed too “I think you would have done it anyhow. But I promised him I will kick his ass if he will hurt you, so that must be threat enough. And Izzie,...”
“Yeah?”
“You need to tell Brian, I won’t keep secrets from him, not now”
“Please give me three dates. I need to know what I feel for him first”
“Okay, three dates, but then you will tell him, no matter if you and Matt are hitting it of or not”
“Yes, I promise. Now let’s go back, before they start fighting over coffee”

Lynn put her arm around me as we were walking back. I felt really happy for her, she seemed over the moon. Let’s hope Brian won’t fuck it up.
We went and sit down at the table again. Brian pulled Lynn on his lap and kissed her. He turned to the rest of us “Finish up guys, and get out, I need my house to myself again.” He looked at Lynn, full of lust.

Yes, this would be the time to get out definitely.
