Brian was impatiently sitting in his plane seat as they flew to their next honeymoon destination. He grew tired and slowly placed his head on Matt’s shoulder. Matt wrapped his arm around Brian and entangled his other hand with Brian’s and rested them on Brian lap. “Mattie… babe, where are we going?” Brian asked. Matt kissed the side of Brian’s head, “I told you Bri, it’s a surprise.” Brian yawned. “Go to sleep baby,” said Matt, “By the time you wake up, we’ll be there.” Brian yawned again as his eyes slowly closed.

Matt shook Brian lightly. “Bri? Brian? Babe, wake up.” Brian blinked a few times, then stretched in the little space he had. He rubbed his eyes before looking over at Matt. “I bet I have great bed head hair,” Brian said with some sarcasm. Matt ran a hand through Brian’s hair, which was back to its original length and back down to his shoulders. “Only a little bit,” said Matt then kissed Brian’s cheek, “but I still love you.” “I love you too Mattie,” Brian said with a smile, “now since we’re here… are you gonna tell me where we are.” “You’ll see when we leave the plane.” With a huff, Brian grabbed his carry on and followed Matt out of the airplane and into the airport. Brian gasped, “Oh my god! We’re in… in… in… Italy?!” “We sure are babe,” Matt replied, “I know you like coming here when we tour.” Brian hugged Matt tight. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” Brian said to the point where it sounded like it was all one word. “Once we get out stuff in our hotel room,” said Matt, “We’re going out to dinner.” Brian’s chocolate eyes light up like Christmas lights on the tree.

Brian flopped onto the bed onto his back. Brian groaned, “I think I ate too much.” Matt laid beside him and started rubbing his belly. Brian yawned and then grumbled. “Should I get you some stomach medicine?” Matt asked. “No,” answered Brian, “I was planning for tonight to do some…” He started lightly nudging Matt side, “you know…” Then a sharp pain went through Brian’s stomach. He grabbed his belly, “Owwie…” Another sharp pain shot through Brian. “Ow!” he cried as he hugged his stomach tighter. “Babe… you okay?” Matt asked as he began to panic. “I don’t know,” Brian groaned, “it just hurts… it hurts a lot.” Tears prickled Brian’s eyes. He curled up in the fetal position. “Mattie!” Brian cried, “It hurts! Please make it go away.” Matt held Brian in his arms. “I’ll get you to a doctor… just stay calm Brian… I’m right here with you, I promise.”
