Alpha and Omega

“Las Vegas baby!” Jimmy cheered as he exited the bus. They went to their hotel. Since there was a problem with their hotel booking two members would have to room together. “Okay,” said Jimmy holding straws in his hand. He broke off a piece on two straws and grabbed Matt’s hat. “The ones with the short straws will have to room together,” Jimmy explained as he shook the hat. He held it up high so no one could cheat.
“Not it,” said Zacky as he held up his straw. “I got a short one,” said Brian showing the broken straw. “I got a long one,” said Johnny as he flashed his straw. “Alright,” said Jimmy, “Matt’s turn.” To Brian it felt like the time was slowing down. Like it took Matt hours to get his hand into the cap and grab a straw. No one could tell what kind of straw Matt had since it was engulfed in Matt’s large hand. Brian’s heart starting beating faster as the moment of truth took its sweet time to reveal if Brian was rooming with Jimmy or Matt.
“Looks like I’m rooming with Brian,” Matt said as he held out his hand to show the short straw. Brian felt himself relax. “Alright,” said Zacky, “Let’s get our stuff and meet back here in thirty minutes to go have some fun.” Everyone agreed.
When Matt and Brian reached their room, they found that it only had one bed. “You don’t mind snuggling with me, do you Bri?” Matt asked mockingly. Brian rolled his eyes and mocked Matt right back, “Does it bother you?” “Hmph,” Matt chuckled, “Not a chance.” Brian smirked, “I’m gonna take a shower.”
Brian just stood in the shower and let the running water hit his chest. I probably shouldn’t use all the hot water Brian thought Matt might get pissed. Brian went to grab the washcloth when he foot slipped. His back slammed hard on the floor of the tub. “Fuck!” was all Brian could say as the pain consumed him. After a minute, Brian was able to get back onto his feet. Soon, he found the shower curtain swung back to reveal a very worried Matthew Sanders. “Brian, are you okay?” Matt asked. “I’m fine,” Brian said with a shock look on his face. “I’m sorry,” said Matt, “I heard a thump and you hollering. I thought you were seriously hurt.”
The moment started grow more and more awkward, especially since Matt was still standing there. Brian finally broke the ice and used Matt’s mocking tone, “Scared that I can’t play my solos for our concerts?” A frowning smirk appeared on Matt’s face, “You know I don’t think of you that way.” Brian smirked, but his was a happy smirk. “Brian I’m serious,” said Matt. Brian just chuckled.
Matt grabbed Brian’s arm and pulled him towards him to the point where their noses were barely touching. “I care about you dammit!” Matt hollered. Brian’s sadden eyes locked onto Matt’s hazel angry ones. “I was just messing with you,” Brian said softly, “I didn’t mean to make you mad.” Brian looked away from Matt, trying to swallow the lump of hurt in his throat. Matt let out a deep breath, “I didn’t mean to yell.” Matt released Brian’s arm and walked out of the bathroom.
Brian came out after finishing his shower. Matt went in so he could take a shower as well. Neither said anything to the other. Matt came out and grabbed his wallet and phone to put in the pockets of his pants. Brian didn’t move from the bed, just kept watching the television. Matt finally spoke, “Aren’t you coming?” “I don’t really feel like going,” Brian answered. “Bri I’m sorry,” Matt said with a sad look on his face. “I know,” Brian replied, “I just don’t feel like going.” Matt took in a deep breath, then let it out, “Okay.” After Brian couldn’t hear Matt’s footsteps anymore, he began to cry.
