I'm Back
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ZACKY'S POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's now been a 3 weeks since the respirator has been hooked up to Aerial. I was sitting beside her looking at her every once in a while just checking to make sure she hasn't stopped breathing. I turned back to my book and began to read. I felt something touching my hand and I looked down and seen Aerial's hand. I looked at her face and her eyes were open and she was smiling.

I felt like I was having a dream and when I woke up I seen Zacky sitting beside me in a chair reading another book. Damn that man is such a bookworm ha ha! I looked down at my throat and seen a tube sticking out and I knew I must have had trouble breathing. I reached over and grabbed Zacky's hand and he looked down at my hand first before looking up at me. I smiled and he smiled right back at me. I pointed to the tube and he got up and left the room. Him and Mark came back into the room.
"We're going to take that out now but I'm going to numb the area so you feel no pain." I nodded and he took a needle and I felt a little prick and then nothing at all. I watched as he took the tube out of my throat and started stitching me back up.
"Now try and speak slowly and quietly." Mark instructed.
"Thank you Mark." I whispered. My voice sounded terrible but Zacky and Mark both smiled.
"Well I need to tell you to take it easy on your throat for the next week or so or until you voice is completely normal."
"Can I get up and walk?" I whispered.
"Of course." Mark and Zacky came to my side and helped me out of bed. I stood to my feet and took shaky steps around the room. My steps became better as I sat down in the chair Zacky was occupying. I stood up and walked towards the door and opened it and went over to Zacky's room. I could hear Rogue shuffling around and when I knocked she came to the door. She hugged me.
"I can't believe you're up and walking around!"
"Where is Matt?" I whispered.
"In his office. You want to go see him?" I nodded. She took my arm and we walked to Matt's office. Rogue knocked and told me to stay out here.
"Come in." I watched Rogue open the door and walk in.
"I have something for you."
"What is it?" Matt asked. Rogue pulled me into the room and I stood there smiling. He jumped out of his chair and over the desk and right to me. I couldn't help but chuckle at what he did. He stood in front of me taking my hands in his and looking deeply into my eyes before nodding to Rogue to leave. He engulfed me in a hug.
"I thought I lost you." he squeezed me tighter.
"Don't worry I'm back and I'm not going any where." I kissed his cheek and he looked at me. He leaned in and kissed my lips softly. Butterflies flew around in my stomach. I've felt something that I never did feel with Zacky...I just couldn't put my finger on what it was.
"I need to set something up. Do you think you are strong enough to do something just you and me?"
"I think so." I said smiling.
"Just let me know if it gets too much for you alright?" I nodded and he kissed me again.
"Now have Rogue help you dress and I'll have one of the guys come get you." He smiled. I hugged his neck as tightly as I could without hurting myself before walking out of the room. I went into Zacky's room where Rogue was folding her clothes and putting them away.
"Rogue can you help me get dressed?" I asked and she nodded. She followed me into my room shutting and locking the door behind me. I picked out a nice pair of jeans and a black and red plaid button up shirt. I had no idea what Matt had in store for me tonight but I hope it will be great.
