This driving was exhausting me to the point of no return Emma had been asleep for 3 hours straight she was a heavy sleeper and by this point I didn't want to disturb her or her wandering thoughts about me that's if she was thinking about me at all...What am I talking about I'm Synyster Gates what girl wouldn't dream about me ?

Michelle watched Claire and River play amongst themselves in the backyard as she sipped the last of her wine Matt and Val were out for the afternoon so Michelle played nanny for the day she enjoyed it more than anything else her thoughts wandered back to Brian sure he had someone else but Michelle had yet to meet her or simply sit down and interact with her.

"River stay on the sidewalk sweetie!" Michelle yelled River had ran after Bella in the grass while Claire followed behind smiling with drool covering her mouth Michelle smiled at the thought of her and Val just being carefree when they were little girls their parents were so structured and strict when it came to their safety including the safety of their grandchildren thinking about what might happen if they didn't have the proper guidance.

Val and Matt returned 2 hours later with dinner and a new toy truck for River and a pink bicycle for Claire Michelle had retreated to the living room with a book in hand she looked up at Matt and her sister but her eyes were covered up by sunglasses Val must have done something wrong to anger Matt while they were out Michelle was going to have that talk with her sister a little bit later Matt still simmered with anger and his veins were ready to pop out of his throat so that was a discussion for another time.

Brian and Emma have been driving for six hours straight without any food and needed another tank of gas before Brian gets to pushing and that wouldn't look good because Brian was too manly to be pushing a car up the road according to him as always Emma had woken up just as Brian pulled into the gas station to fuel up she smiled at him sheepishly she adored everything about Brian he was sweet, protective, and loveable beyond extant how did she get so lucky to have someone like him ? The thought wandered her mind like a runaway train.

"How did you sleep beautiful ?" Brian asked opening the driver's side of his car

"I slept like a baby sweetheart." Emma replied leaning towards Brian's cheek placing a kiss now he was covered in Maroon lipstick and he didn't want the guys to know that he was becoming a softie in Brian's mind he still considered himself a womanizer that all the girls would flock to at his beck and call but truthfully he wanted to settle down with Claire and Emma but Michelle still needed to meet her and see if she was stable enough to take care of Claire and her needs but that just sounded crazy to Brian to even think about let alone consider having Emma supervised.

Michelle decided to take Claire and River for a walk around the neighborhood and maybe stop for some ice cream because they deserved it for being the greatest company Michelle could ask for but deep down she was still concerned for her sister what could have gotten Matt so angry and bitter ? Only time will tell.

Back on the road, Emma and Brian decided to play Kiss, Marry, Kill to pass the boredom that overcame them both as Brian continued to drive amongst the open road.

"Do you want to go first cowboy or should I?" Emma asked in her southern accent.

"I'm going to be a gentleman and let you go first darling." Brian replied

"Kiss, Jenna Jameson Kill, Megan Fox, and Marry Angelina Jolie" Emma replied

"Wow that was fast were those already in your mind or were those pre meditated ?" Brian asked

"They were pre meditated silly" Emma replied Brian continued driving while his eyes were focused solely on Emma the entire drive they were coming up to their exit and then there was a rest stop up ahead they both were exhausted from the long drive and needed their rest before hitting the road again and getting ready for another round of Kiss, Marry, Kill while driving.

"Are you hungry ?" Brian asked still focused on the road

"I'm starving so badly I could eat you." Emma replied

"Wait you want to eat me ?" Brian asked laughing

"Yes I do now stop talking and drive to a nearby restaurant because I'm going to turn into Hannibal in 3 minutes Haner" Emma replied laughing.

"Okay Hannibal don't go to wild on me." Brian said

"There's a 24 hour diner up ahead we will eat there will that make you happy?" Brian asked as he pulled into the diner parking lot.

"I'm glad I came with you Brian." Emma said taking a seat across from Brian at the diner she placed her thumb over his fingers.

"What are you are you planning Brian ?" Emma asked looking over the menu Brian sipped the rest of his beer while going over the tour schedule.

"I still can't tell you nosy little girl" Brian said

"Why not ?" Emma asked taking a sip of her beer

"You're going to have to be patient my love." Brian replied

"Okay then evil demon." Emma replied placing a kiss on his cheek.

Michelle, Val, and Matt were all sitting in the dining area when River started to cry Matt had been so focused on preparing for the tour that he hasn't paid much attention to River or Val in the past two weeks. Michelle decided to cheer up both River and Val by taking them out for a night of fun of course Michelle's mind would be on Brian this entire time she couldn't erase him from her thoughts even if she tried.

7 hours later, Emma and Brian were back on the road trying to kill the silence with another round of Kiss, Marry, Kill to kill the time while driving up to Big Bear.

"So who's turn is it to play ?" Brian asked Emma blushed

"I guess it's my turn cowboy." Emma said

"Why do keep calling me that ?" Brian asked

"Because I love calling you that nickname." Emma replied

Brian and Emma were approaching the cabin gazing out of the window, Emma was amazed at what she saw out her window.

"Here we are." Brian said pulling up to the cabin entrance Brian jumped up and started to unload the car Emma sat in the passenger side waiting on Brian to help her out of the car like a gentleman that he was.

"It's beautiful do you come here often ?" Emma asked getting out of the car gathering her suitcase and tugging up the road.

"And to answer your question no I don't come here often unless Jimmy had an idea for a song or when we just needed to getaway for the weekend." Brian replied.

"What was Jimmy like ?" Emma asked Brian could feel himself getting choked up.

"He was just crazy and the cops were always getting called for a noise complaint because Jimmy decided to pound on his drums at 2:00am."

"He sounded like a handful of trouble." Emma laughed

"He was a handful of trouble." Brian replied

"So why did you bring me up here ?" Emma asked walking into the kitchen

"Because I just wanted us to spend some alone time together before I have to leave." Brian said kissing Emma's forehead.

"Wait your leaving ?!" Emma asked shocked

"Yes why do you sound so shocked ?" Brian asked

"Because I want to stay in your arms forever." Emma replied

"I will return I promise." Brian said.

"I'll be waiting for you." Emma replied

"We have to get washes up for dinner." Brian replied unpacking his clothes.

"Your making dinner?" Emma asked

"No I'm taking you out to dinner I have a little surprise for you." Brian replied.

"Well I can't wait I bet your full of surprises." Emma said running the shower and undressing in front of Brian.

"Do you like what you see ?" Emma said smirking

"You mean the view outside ?" Brian said smiling

"You look gorgeous in the sunlight." Brian kissed Emma's lips before resuming packing.

Michelle, Val, and River returned home stuffed like pigs with shopping bags and Chinese take out Michelle still wanted to contact Brian but he was probably busy so she didn't bother interrupting him but she couldn't hold it in for that long.
