Broken Pieces

Michelle's P.O.V.
Today was our group trip to Mexico I needed a few things before leaving the airport to meet Matt and my sister Brian was nowhere to be found maybe he and Matt went to meet up for drinks before leaving for Mexico in a couple of hours even though drinking boarding a flight was a bad idea but he'd never listen to me.

Brian had arrived home a few hours later Michelle had already been packing for Mexico and Brian smelled like beer and cigarettes but Michelle was used to it Mexico had brought back some memories for Brian and Michelle they knew going back would fix their already broken marriage it was either going to keep their marriage alive or kill it forever and neither of them wanted a divorce so this was the only option.

"What time are we meeting Val and Matt at the airport ?" Brian asked Michelle had already packed Claire's things in her baby bag and began walking out the door. Brian stood in the doorway with a confused look on his face his wife was completely avoiding any contact with him hopefully this ease some of his stress and he can have the woman he had married in Mexico back.


"Hey Matt we have to leave soon!" Val called from downstairs Matt had just finished packing the last of his things and dragged his suitcase downstairs Val had River her arms Matt kissed Val and River before heading over to Michelle and Brian's they knew how bad they were needing this vacation their marriage was falling apart. Val didn't like seeing her sister this way she wanted to help her but she didn't know exactly how to help her. Matt held her hand and gave it a tight squeeze she knew her sister was a strong person and she get through anything. Hopefully this trip would cheer her up and she can have her sister back.

"Michelle we have to go now" Brian called from kitchen Michelle rushed downstairs with Claire in her arms she still didn't say a word to Brian he shook his head and walked out the door with his suitcase and loaded it in Matt's truck he gave Matt an apologetic look Matt gave him a shy smile he knew if this didn't work then there was nothing else to do.


Michelle, Brian, Matt, and Val arrived at the airport in time to catch their flight Brian hoped he would be seated next to Michelle because he needed to talk about what's bothering him she knew that they needed to talk about the problems with their marriage divorce wasn't an option either way they needed to work it out or go thier separate ways.


~~~ 12 Hours Later~~~
Matt had checked into the hotel Michelle and Brian had to room together which is what Brian wanted he wanted his wife back Michelle wanted nothing to with Brian at this point all she wanted was to enjoy her time here which meant to aviod Brian at all cost. Brian walked outside for his cigarette break he needed to clear his mind all of this stress was getting to him and it wasn't good.


"Dude what's going on with you and Michelle ?" Matt asked walking after him Brian went back smoking his cigarette and didn't say a word Matt needed to find out what was wrong he hated seeing his best friend in this situation.

Brian's P.O.V. With Michelle avoiding me like the plague I didn't know what to do anymore our marriage was falling apart I honestly could give up at this point and divorce her but I didn't want that I wanted to work this out and get our marriage back on track I needed to find a way to make this right.

Brian saw a woman with long black hair step out of Taxi cab and walking in his direction he knew that face "Maria ?" Brian called out to her she smiled and hugged him. "Surprise Stranger" Maria said Brian stood there in disbelief why was she even here ? Brian thought he really didn't care he just needed someone to talk and Maria was the best option at this point.
