"Mom?" I shouted pulling out an earphone walking through my front door, returning home from my shift at work.

"Up here sweetie" She shouted back. I ran up the stairs and went through to mom's room where she was curling her hair.

"Woah" I smiled. "Is that my dress?"

"Is it too much? Should I change?" She panted showing me the 6 dresses layed out on her bed. Mom wasn't one for getting really dolled up, but when she did she looked stunning.

"No, you look gorgeous. Where are you going?" I asked taking the curling tong from her hands and doing it for her.

"Out with Brian" Mom sighed blushing.

"When am I meeting this guy? It's been what, a month?"

"Soon, soon." She smiled gazing into nowhere thinking about this Brian guy.

"He must be dreamy" I laughed. We heard a knock on the door and my mom gasped. "I'll get it"

"Don't embarras me young lady!!" Mom shouted as I skipped down the stairs.

I opened the door to a tallish, good looking man, already getting a blast of cologne from him.

"You must be...Renee?" He asked.

"Yeah that's me. Brian?" I smiled inviting him in, getting another wiff. Brian was more my type than Mom's, he was really hot.

"Brian it is. Is your mom ready?"

"Yes I am! Sorry! Here I am ready" Mom sang waddling down the stairs in her high heels.

"You look beautiful Jenny" Brian smiled taking her hand and kissing it. A hot gentleman, always the best.

Mom said nothing. She just blushed.

"Oh I forgot my bag!" She sighed running back up.

"So.." Brian said moments later. "You live here right?"

Now, I'm a normal girl, Brians low, soft voice totally matched my fantasys. Not just that though, the way he leant back onto the wall with his tattooed hands in his pockets, with his head down but his eyes onto me. What's mom doing with a guy like this? She's far too 'normal' for this type of man.

"Yeah I live here. I work at the Angel Celler down the road" I had no idea what to do with myself. My fingers fiddled together, my feet moved from tip toe to the heel repeatedly, I looked an idiot.

"Oh right that's cool"

"Back back backkkk" Mom sang racing down again. Thank god.

"Okay instead of me thirdwheeling I'm gonna go upstairs and watch a movie. Have a good night" I pecked mom's cheek and gave a small nod to Brian. He seemed to be getting more heart melting everytime I looked at him.

"Bye sweetie, love you"
