Erin’s P.O.V

Hannah seemed off when I spoke to her briefly on the phone so I figured that before we headed to dinner I would come help her get ready and I was right… she was off… she was way off and I couldn’t get her to say more than hello or scoff at me.

“Alright you need to talk to me… no good ever came from bottling this shit up” I said grabbing her arm making her sit on the bed and stop what she was doing… not a moment later did she let out a sigh and then cry.

“Hey hey what is going on babe” I said pulling her head to my shoulder rubbing her hair a little bit. She just cried for about five minutes before wiping under her eyes.

“I decided to go to see Jimmy… and I wanted him… more than ever and I just needed him to make me his… but he rejected me and said I wasn’t thinking right… I mean seriously?! Yeah I am fucking afraid but god damnit why did he have to reject me when I wanted him the most?!” She asked nearly yelling and I just took a breath.

“We are in a really bad place right now Hannah, that boy freaking loves you and he doesn’t want anything to fuck up more than it already has… I mean he is going through as much as we are with this and he wants you… believe me he does, he just doesn’t want you to get hurt and regret the decision you made” I said hugging her tightly and she just hugged me back finally taking a breath and letting things out from the previous days.

“You really think he loves me that much… to be with me through all of this E?” She asked and I just smiled and dabbed another tissue under her eyes.

“Yes Hannah I do, and no matter what he is gonna fight for you” I said to her before pulling her up and helping her with her makeup. I was hoping that tonight went well no matter what, our fathers were just going to meet with Sebastian and Christopher now and we need to head out soon but were stopped by Zack and Jimmy busting through the door and up to Hannah’s room.

“What the hell you two can’t be here right now” I said trying to push them both back. Hannah just sat there with her arms folded across her chest and I could tell that she really didn’t want to see Jimmy at the moment.

“Please we just wanna make sure that you two get there safe and everything goes okay” Jimmy said looking over at Hannah.

“There is going to be a car for us here in like 10 minutes or less guys and we have to be in it… just us, I promise things will be fine but you really have to go okay” I said and looked between the two of them.

“I need to speak to Hannah please” Jimmy said and I just gave him an evil glare for a moment.

“I think that you just need to give her the space she wants and talk to her tomorrow Jimmy, now go please” I said and Jimmy stormed downstairs and Zack just stood there for a moment and then kissed me lightly and despite the fact that my wrist was burning again I kissed him back before closing the door. I knew that they were going to follow the car there… so they really shouldn’t be too worried.

“Grab your shoes and let’s get this over with” I said to her and she got up and hugged me and threw on her heels steadying herself by holding onto my shoulder and I giggled because she was still unbalanced and it was adorable. We got downstairs and there was a driver holding the door open for the two of us and the car ride… well it wasn’t fun for either of us.

“I don’t want to do this Erin” Hannah said to me and I just grabbed her hand.

“We have to at least try and endure whatever happens tonight for the sake of our sanity… and our lives unfortunately… I still don’t get why our dads are totally fucking into those two all of the sudden” I said and Hannah just nodded and tried biting at her fingernails but I whacked her hand away so she wouldn’t ruin her manicure. We arrived to the building that our fathers had currently been working on and it was massive and beautiful. We rode the elevator up like 30 floors before the silver doors opened up and we saw our fathers talking to Sebastian and Christopher and as soon as I stepped out with Hannah we instantly locked hands gripping tightly. They both looked over at us and I sat there watching Chris’s eyes as we walked towards them.

“Baby girl you made it” My dad said grabbing my hand and handed me a drink.

“Of course I made it dad, who could turn you down” I said and Hannah chuckled with me and I smiled being a little cocky… I was acting of course.

“Girls we have you here to formally introduce you to our new men for the job… Sebastian and Christopher” Hannah’s father said and I should Sebastian’s hand and then turned to Chris and shook his tightly.

“Pleasure to meet you Erin” He said to me and rubbed his thumb on my hand a little but then I pulled my hand back.

“Nice to meet you Chris, I am sure that you must be talented if you are working with my father” I said looking him straight in the eyes before taking a sip of my drink and then
going to my seat setting down my bag. Hannah sat down next to me and the guys were across from us and my father sat at the end next to me and Hannah next to her at the other end. We sat there eating in silence and all of the sudden our fathers almost seemed like they were choking and then their heads fell flat onto the table and I jumped a little holding my chest with one hand and the table with the other.

“Well now that we have broken the ice… we can get to the main event” Sebastian stated as cocky as ever and I just scoffed picking up the napkin off my lap and slamming it down on the table and trying to lift my father. Hannah came over and grabbed my arm and pulled me away and she looked terrified and when we looked up their eyes were black… Christopher had darkness around his eyes and I just stepped back slowly with her.

“Don’t you wanna know more about me Erin? This could be fun… we could have a blast” Christopher said taunting me and I just held onto Hannah tightly before backing into the wall trying to get the elevator to come back up.

“The line was cut after you two came up… nice try though” Sebastian growled and kept his eyes right on Hannah and I pushed her towards the stairs opening up the door and pushing her in first and she didn’t let go of my hand.

“Hmmm I was right” Christopher said and I knew exactly what he meant… they were going to the extreme and Hannah and I were alone and vulnerable.

“E come on!” Hannah shouted and I went in the stairwell and closed the doors trying to keep them shut but Hannah just pulled me and we bolted down the stairs busting through the first set of doors. We pulled on office doors and other shit but we stopped putting our backs against the wall.

“Take your shoes off… we gotta be fast and quiet” I said to Hannah and she was chanting which was a surprise and from the words she was saying it was a protection spell. I looked around the corner and it was kind of quiet but I knew that they were sneaky and so I motioned for Hannah to go and we ran further down the hall.

“I can hear them talking I think we need to go the other way” Hannah whispered and I turned around looking at the surroundings and when I looked forward she was gone.

“Hannah!” I tried to shout/whisper and I walked forward quickly and stopped coming up to the glass balcony of the building and my hair blew in my face. I looked up and down and couldn’t find any sign of her on the balconies…. I came back in and walked to the stairs going up seeing if I could find her and I had made it up to the unfinished part of the building, there was concrete and some steel framing with the maze of walls, tools lying around and some shattered glass.

“Oh Erin… I can feel your soul… your heartbeat” I heard from a distance and I got into a corner and dropped down grabbing a big shard of glass and it dug into my hand a little but I just wanted something to make me feel safe. I took a deep breath and stilled hearing footsteps and I bolted knowing he was coming closer but stopped when there was a ledge, I looked down for a brief moment.

“Seems that you have a thing with being chased little girl” Christopher said.

“Ya know if you were trying to win me over and have me you should have come up to me and talked to me like a normal guy not scare the living shit out of me, brand me and drug my fucking father!” I yelled at him and he just stood there quietly.

“Ugh god you are so fucking frustrating! LEAVE ME ALONE! I hate you so fucking much you have done nothing but ruin my life!” I said running past him and he grabbed my arm and I yelped as it felt like he was crushing my bones. I slashed his side with the glass that was covered in blood from my hand and he just backed up and I ran through the maze and heard him running and he caught up and threw me against the wall, the concrete shook from impact and I fell to the ground trying to crawl away holding my side and Christopher ran over and grabbed the back of my hair pushing my face into the ground straddling my lower back and he locked his hands with mine.

“I was a fucking saint to you when we met Erin! I tried being polite and really gave you a fucking chance to see me as the nice man that I could be” He said bringing his face down to my ears. I was still whimpering.

“You’re not a man at all” I said rudely but stuttering. He flipped me over standing up and packing around.

“I can hear those two guys who fucking love you and Hannah, they followed you here… hopefully Sebastian is having more luck than I am” Christopher said and I tried pushing my hands so I could slide towards the exit, my hands leaving red behind with every movement. He turned towards me and walked over and kneeled down picking up one of my hands inspecting it… before jamming his finger into the wound and I screamed pulling my hand back.

“All the pain can go away… the danger Erin, just let things happen with Hannah and Sebastian and I will make sure that you feel happy, I promise you will never hurt again” He said staring right into my eyes and I turned my head and I felt his fist go full force across my jaw and I spit blood onto the floor.

“ERIN!!!????” I heard someone yell and my heart fluttered knowing it was Zack’s voice and I pushed myself up and started running again and I reached the door but before I could pull it Christopher pushed me into the wall, his fingers gripping my jaw bone tighter than ever and he forced my gaze to his.

“You… will come to me…. And you will be mine Erin… now, one taste and I will leave you for now.. but make no mistake I will be back Erin” He said into my ear and I just panted and was out of oxygen, out of strength… and I was out of my mind… I needed to learn my spells under pressure and such… dammit. And what the fuck did he mean a taste? I put my hand to my mouth and coughed realizing there was still blood coming up and Christopher came over and pushed his lips onto mine letting his tongue roam my lips and then he just pulled back, his chin and mouth was smeared with my blood and it dripped a little and he closed his eyes taking a deep breath in and disappeared…. I was… in shock and started to cry a little and I heard Zack in the distance again.

“ZACK HELP!!” I screamed loudly letting my body slide to the ground.

“ERIN!?” I heard him yell coming up the stairs.

“ZACK IN HERE!!” I yelled get softer by the moment and the doors flew open and he dropped down and inspected my body.

“Jesus Christ what the hell happened and where is Hannah!? Jimmy went looking for her a while ago!” Zack said frantically and I lifted myself a little.

“She got split from me somewhere in the lower building… I couldn’t find her and I got trapped up here” I said and the trembling shook clearly throughout my voice.

“I have to get back to our dads” I said panting and Zack picked me up carrying me downstairs to grab my stuff and our dad’s were surprisingly gone… they had just disappeared.

“We will figure this out Erin but I gotta get you cleaned up” Zack said pulling some of the hair out of my face and not too long after did I pass out… I didn’t know where Hannah was… where Jimmy was… or where my fathers were…
