Seize The Day

"A letter? From who?" I asked, not really sure if he was being serious or if he was lying to me just to get a laugh. I've never received a letter for as long as I've been here.

"It's from a girl named Kaydyn, know her?" He asked crossing his hands on his desk.

"Not that I can recall, no."

He let out a low chuckle, and stood up, walking over to a white bag labeled 'mail.' He pulled out a letter and handed it to me, motioning for me to read it.

Dear Matthew,

Or should I call you Matt? Which ever you prefer. So this is gonna sound really stupid of me, I can't believe I'm really doing this..

First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Kaydyn Rose Kirk I'm 28 years old. I have long straight black hair and big icy blue eyes. I'll be honest here, I'm not really what you would call skinny. I have a lot of curves. Some people find that as a turn on, but for other's it is quite the opposite.

But enough about me, for now that is. If you write back to me, I will use the next letter to explain everything about me. But I'm not going to yet, until I know if you're interested.

I'm writing because I'm lonely. My friend suggested that I write to someone else who is probably lonely as well. She told me to go on to the local prison site and find someone who I thought was attractive and was due to be out soon. On the site it also has a thing that shows how many letters this person has received since arriving. And your profile had none. So I figured you could use this as much as I can.

In other words I'm looking for companionship. If you are interested in getting to know each other, write me back. If not, disregard this and go on with your life.

I folded the letter and placed it back into my pocket, not sure if I was gonna write her back or not. I bid the Warden farewell and headed to the Recreation room, without Mickey following me. I decided to go with my original plan and headed to the bench, thankful that it was open.

I did 50 reps, and decided to just go back to my pen for the day, I was suddenly very tired..
