"Hey. Wake up." I heard a deep voice say to me. I felt somebody nudge my arm and my eyes flickered open reluctantly.

"What?" I mumbled, my voice thick with sleep.

"You wanted me to wake you up when the plane landed. We're here so get up." The man next to me stated bluntly. He then got out of his seat and started to leave.

"Gee thanks." I said to myself. I stood up slowly and stalked down the aisle of the plane. As soon as I stepped out of the plane, the warm California air hit my face like a truck. I smiled and took a deep breath, inhaling the salty air. After spending 4 years in Philadelphia, you forget what the sun feels like. I walked through the airport and searched for my best friend. As if on queue, I saw a small, frail girl with dark brown hair standing aside from the huge crowd of people.

"SANDER!" I screamed as I took off in her direction.

She snapped her head up and smiled when she saw me. "RAMI!"

We ran to each other and met in a bone-crushing hug. I felt tears form in my eyes as I kissed her cheek.

"Oh my god I missed you so much!" Sander squeaked, her voice muffled.

"Ditto."

"I choose you."

We both giggled and I pulled away from her embrace. "Let's get my bags and get the fuck out of here. I wanna get to our new house and get shit faced."

"Man you haven't changed one bit." Sander remarked with a huge grin.

I laughed and linked arms with her. We walked over to the baggage claim and got my bags. I had two suitcases and one carry-on so it wasn't that hard to take to the cab. After we hailed a taxi and got in, I felt Sander put her head on my shoulder. I laid my head on top of hers and sighed.

"I really missed you Sander. Philadelphia sucks ass and not being able to complain with you made it worse." I said quietly.

"Same here. I had to go out and do things all alone. I didn't have my bodyguard with me to ward off pricks with no sense of sympathy." She sighed.

"I'm really glad we're doing this."

"Me too."

I felt my arm being yanked around and my eyes shot open. "Wake up sleeping beauty." Sander smiled at me.

"Where are we?" I asked while rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

"Home."

I looked at the house in front of me and damn. It was huge. I grabbed my bag and walked through the front door with a giant grin plastered on my face. Dragging my bag up the stairs, I took in my surroundings. All the floors were carpet except for the kitchen and bathrooms. I walked down a long hallway and found my room. I opened the door and smiled even more. If that was physically possible at this point. The walls were purple and white and my bed was black. The curtains were purple and so was my bedspread. I kicked my shoes off and dug my toes into the white carpet. After I finished packing I walked downstairs and sat on a stool by the counter.

"So, what do you think?" Sander's voice traveled from the kitchen.

"It's amazing here. The house is amazing and the beach is literally 30 feet away. It's perfect."

Sander came out from the kitchen with 2 shots in her hands. She handed one to me and smiled. "Let's make a toast. To our new lives in Huntington and whatever life throws our way. To us!"

"To us!" I repeated and took the shot.

We're gonna have so much fun, I can already tell. I can't wait to see how our lives turn out.
