Right Where I Belong

Elise POV

It’s been nearly a week since the party and today I had a meeting with my brother about the job offer.
I don’t know if that was a good sign or not, the last time we spoke about this, he didn’t sound so enthusiastic about me taking his offer.
Jimmy said he had to work today and I drove over to Tyler without him.
We had spent the last days completely together, he took me to interviews and to the studio.
He told me he had planned something amazing for me this evening and I was excited.
I felt completely save with Jimmy and if he would make a move tonight I would give in to him.
The last nights we were making out and I enjoyed it but Jimmy had always stopped before the actual act, which made me feel a little frustrated now, so I hoped that this night it would finally happen.

I walked into Tyler’s office and it seemed like he had been waiting for me.
“Hey sis, take a seat.”
I was nervous, I know it’s stupid this was my brother, but what if he will tell me now that he can’t give me the job he offered.
What if he will backpedal? Then I had nothing… I had already called off the job offers… What would I do then?!

“I haven’t heard from you in days… How have you been?” Tyler asked.
“I’m fine. Everything is fine. I spent a lot of time with Jimmy.”
“That’s what I thought.”
“Is that a problem?” I asked him and I felt like I had to get into the defensive.
“No, not a problem for me. I just wanted to talk to you about the job.”
“Yes, that’s what you said on the phone. Is there a problem?” I asked him with frown, please say no please say no…
“Well… not exactly. But I talked this whole thing through with Collin and we think that it would be best if you won’t start here… at least not right away.”
I looked at him dumbfounded, what does he mean at least not right away?!
“Elise? Are you listening?” Tyler asked me because I haven’t said anything.
“Yes, but I don’t understand… what do you mean?”
“I mean, Elise… You shouldn’t start the working here right away because I think you need some time off… You need some time to just relax and be yourself. Maybe you should travel…
And when you are done with that then the job here is waiting for you.”
That was totally different to what I expected him to tell me.
“You mean I should just take some time off? Like doing nothing?”
“Yes. I want you to just enjoy your life for a couple of month. Travel or just lay back and enjoy everything. Elli, you worked so hard the last months or better years. I wasn’t always there as much as I should have and I think you just do what everyone of us has done in the past. Just take some time for you. And if you will spend this time with Jimmy I am fine with that… I just want you to be happy. The job is waiting for you, whenever you are ready for it.”

I couldn’t believe it… I thought he didn’t want me on his company but he just wanted me to take time for myself…
“Damn Tyler, you scared me!!”
He grinned at me, “Why?”
“I thought you wanted to cancel the whole thing, to tell me to find something else.”
“Gods, Elise. NO, I want you here and we need you here. I just want you to live as well. So will you do it? Take some time and then in let’s say 3 month you will join our team?”
“Wow… yes Tyler. Absolutely! Thank you so much!” I stood up and hugged him enthusiastically.
I had to tell that to Jimmy, he would be happy. Even if they planned a new tour I could join them, we had time for us!

Jimmy’s POV

I was on my way to the grocery store. I wanted this to be the perfect evening.
And I needed some utensils for it.
But first things first…

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialed Zack’s number after the third ring he picked up, “Whats up?”
“Hey man. Just wanted to tell you that you have to sleep over at Kim’s tonight…” I told him while pulling to the side of the road to talk to him properly.
“Hm… she will be working late, when do you need me out of there? I will just grab some stuff and then be gone.”
I was thankful that he didn’t ask for details, good friend that he was… sometimes.
“You are popping the cherry tonight?” Zack asked and I took everything back. He was still an ass.
“None of you business Zack. Be gone by 6, alright?”
“Yeah, 6 is fine. I won’t disturb your romantic evening… what do you plan?”
“I don’t really know. I just want to make it perfect…” I haven’t figured out myself what I would do maybe I should talk to a girl and ask her how her perfect first time experience was or should have been?!
“Oh perfect, is a big challenge, you know. Just show that you love her put some candles on and there you go…”
“Wow, yeah the candles, that was the only idea I had myself…” I laughed.. wow men are so resourceful, right?!
“Yeah, well… you will figure it out.”
“Yes, thanks man. See you tomorrow.”
“Bye”

I pulled back onto the driveway and continued my way to the grocery store.
When I was finally there I took a cart and ran towards the corridors without a real plan, what do I need?
Would I cook for her? Should I order food? Should we watch a movie? Or go out to the beach?
She liked the beach, right?
Maybe we will eat at the beach and then I will just prepare my bedroom with some nice accessories.
Yes, that was the plan.
I walked to the checkout and looked at my cart, I think I got everything for a nice evening.
I paid and put the bags into my car and drove home it was already late, nearly 4. I looked at my phone and saw a message from Elise.

Elise: I have great news. Will be back around 6. Love you!
Jimmy: Perfect, love you.

Okay, I got 2 hours to prepare everything make a reservation at a restaurant and get myself ready.
That is a task I could do, right?!
2 hours are enough…

First I took the groceries I bought inside and put them on the kitchen counter then I searched for the number of the restaurant and reserved a table for us at seven.
Then I walked back into my bedroom and put the candles on the shelf and near the bed for the right ambiance.
I also bought flowers and put them… well not in a vase because I just didn’t own one but into a glass, didn’t look perfect but well… I tried…

I stripped the bedclothes of the bed and put them into the laundry container. I put new bedclothes on and placed some rose pedals on the bed, come on… not so unimaginative after all, huh?!
Last step a condom in the nightstand because I haven’t talked to her about protection before and I wanted to be prepared, either way.

I went to the shower and heard the doorbell rang.
Shit, was that Elise?! She would be early and I wasn’t ready.
I hastily put a towel around my waist and opened the door but there wasn’t Elise…
