Daddy's Little Girl

Epilogue

|THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW|

Kiera and Braydyn were with their Mother for almost a month before their Dad finally called them. He spoke to Braydyn first, the conversation lasting for roughly an hour. During their time on the phone, he explained how sorry he was, and also promised to never put any woman before his children again. He also said he had done away with Valary, briefly touching on the subject and giving a vague "She's just not right for me." Braydyn responded to this with a very straightforward, "She's just not right for us, Dad." Matt simply didn't respond, instead he told him he loved him, and asked to talk to Kiera.

Braydyn took the phone to his sister's room. She was having a slumber party with some friends, something she hadn't done in a long time. He told his Dad he didn't want to disturb her, because she had friends over. Matt just told him to put her on the phone.

Braydyn gently knocked on the door, "Sis?"

He heard her telling her friends to hang on a second, and he told Matt she was coming. Matt instructed him not to tell her that it was him. Kiera hadn't answered his calls at all, so he had reason to believe she wouldn't answer the phone if she knew it was him.

"So what do you want me to do? Lie to her? I don't wanna lie to her, Dad.."

"Just tell her she has a phone call and hand her the phone, Bray."

Just then the door opened and there stood Kiera, with a wide grin plastered on her face.

She was happy, happier than she had been in a very long time. Her best friend, Skyla, had just been telling her how she thinks her crush, Jake, actually liked her back. Kiera hoped so, for she thought Jake was the most beautiful mark she had seen in her entire life, with one exception of course..

"Hey! Did you need something?" She smiled at her brother, taking note of his red eyes.

'Had he been crying?' She wondered to herself, not letting her smile fade.

He shook his head 'No,' and handed her the phone. He didn't look too happy, he looked a mess actually. "You have a phone call. I'm sorry for bothering you, but Da- They insisted on talking to you," he rolled his eyes. "I tried to explain that you had friends over.."

"Aww, Braydyn, it's alright. Don't worry about it.." She said pulling him into a hug. He had grown a lot in the past little while. He now reached the bottom of her chin, and not only that, he was starting to grown facial hair, and his voice was getting deeper. He was growing up, and was beginning to look more and more like their father every day.

Although Kiera wouldn't admit it, it was hard to look at him sometimes. He reminded her of Matt so much it hurt. She would never tell Braydyn this because she would never hurt him. They had actually begun to grow apart lately because of this fact. She felt guilty. Very guilty. It wasn't Braydyn's fault what happened between her and her Dad, and he certainly didn't deserve to lose his sister too, but she just couldn't bare it. She just couldn't handle being around him all the time.

And Braydyn had noticed.

He knew she had been avoiding him, but he didn't know why. He thought he had done something wrong. It hurt him to know that his sister no longer wanted anything to do with him. But what was he supposed to do about it? There's nothing he could do. He kept telling himself that it was just a phase she was going through, but inside he knew better.

He handed her the phone and headed back to his room to play video games. This was something he used to love to do to keep his mind off of things, but lately it just wasn't working as good as it used to. He's not used to playing alone, he used to play with his Dad, but he obviously can't anymore. He tried asking Kiera to play with him several times, but she always replied with a 'Maybe later.'

But later never came.

Kiera loves video games as much as he does, it was something the both inherited from their father, so he couldn't understand why she never wanted to play. It just didn't make sense to him, but nothing really made sense to him anymore.

Kiera took the phone, vaguely aware of who it was. She knew it was probably Matt, one because Braydyn was crying, and two because he slipped up and started to say 'Dad.'

Matt waited patiently for her to answer, he wasn't sure what he would say to her, but he knew he had to choose his words carefully. He wanted her to come home, he wanted both of them to come home, but it was Kiera he had to convince. Braydyn would follow suit, just like he did when Kiera decided to move in with their Mom. Kiera had all the power, and she didn't even know it.

"Hello?" She huffed into the phone.

"Kiera?" He asked, even though he already knew it was her.

"Yes, Dad?"

"I miss you," he admitted.

"Okay?"

"I'm serious, and I know you miss me too," he said slowly.

"And how could you possibly know that?" She asked, irritated.

"Because even though you haven't answered a single text or phone call, I know you miss me simply because you stole some of my clothes, aaannd my cologne. I bet your wearing one of my shirts right now, actually."

She looked down at her torso, and she was, in fact, wearing one of his shirts, and his cologne.

"How the Hell did you know that?"

"Because I know you."

"Can we get to the point of this conversation already? I have guests."

"Come home," he stated, not really knowing any other way to put it.

"I am home, Dad."

"Kiera you know exactly what I meant. Your home is here, with me, where you grew up, not with your mom."

"Dad, I gotta go, I'll talk to you later B-"

"Kiera, just listen to me. I love you and I miss you. I know I screwed up, and all I'm asking is for you to forgive me and come home. You've already proven your point, alright? I get it, just please, come home. I need you.." He said quietly, his voice breaking at the end.

Tears ran down Kiera's face, she hated hearing him like that, but how was she supposed to fix it? She already promised herself she wouldn't go home to him no matter how much he begged and pleaded.

"Dad-"

"Come. Home. PLEASE," he begged.

Kiera took a deep breath, she didn't know what to say, she wanted to go home, she really, truly did, but she knew him all too well. There was no doubt that he missed her, and he definitely loved her, but he had lied to her and hurt her so many times, she wasn't really sure if love was enough to fix this.

She decided to just tell him exactly how she felt, no holding back. Whether it hurt him or not, she didn't care, or at least she could act like she didn't. He had hurt her so much, so it was time for her to get this off of her chest, no matter what the outcome may be.

"Dad, you don't get it do you?" She started, her voice breaking, making it now apparent to him that she was crying. "I love you so fucking much, way more than I should. I am so lucky that I've gotten to know you not only as a father, but as a person; a lover. I will never be able to even nearly love another man half as much as I love you."

"I love you more."

"Let me finish. I thought for a long time about moving in with Mom. I knew it would be best for Braydyn and I, even though it was not what I wanted. What I wanted was you. Forever. But that's impossible.." She stopped, taking a deep breath trying her best to control her blubbering. "I know you love Val, I understand that you could never love me like you love her. You've already proved that she's your priority. I heard her give you an ultimatum, saying either put her first or she was leaving, and you just said okay.."

"Kiera, I didn't mean tha-"

"And then before we opened presents I came upstairs to see if you wanted to come down and spend time with us and I heard you say, what was it? Oh, yeah "Val, you are the most important girl in my life, there's absolutely no one that means more to me than you do." So right then and there I went downstairs and texted Jimmy and had him send Braydyn down to me. That's when we both decided to move in with Mom. He told me he didn't like Val because you spent more time with her than you did with us. Even he noticed it. I understand you love her, but we love you. It just hurts, ya know? We both felt like you just didn't care anymore.. So I removed us from the situation. Braydyn means everything to me, you can hurt me all you want, but I'm not going to let you hurt him. Not anymore."

"I left Val."

"Congratulations," She snapped.

"I really am sorry Kiera.."

"Well that's just dandy."

"Why wont you believe me? What do I have to do to make you believe that I really am sorry?"

"All you ever do is apologize."

"...I'm sorry."

"Sure."

"Okay, if you don't want to come home, will you and Braydyn at least come and stay the weekend with me?"

"This weekend?" She wasn't sure if she really wanted to go or not, all she knew is she missed him.

"Yeah.."

"Maybe."

"Well, either you do or you don't."

"I don't, but I know Braydyn does."

"So are you coming or not?"

"Let me talk to Mom, if she says it's okay, then yes, we will come stay the weekend."

"Go ask her."

"Now? She's asleep."

"Go ask her!"

"Okay, fine! Calm your balls!" She huffed into the phone.

She laid the phone down on the bathroom sink and headed to her mom's room to ask her. She didn't think she would mind if her and Braydyn drove down there. But she had to ask anyways.

She knocked on the door quietly before entering. She carefully walked over to her mom's side of the bed and gently shook her arm.

"Mom? Mommaaa?

"Hmmm?"

"Can Braydyn and I go stay with Dad for the weekend?"

"Huh? When?"

"This weekend.."

"Yeah, what time is he picking you up?"

"He's not.. I'm driving.."

"No. If you go, he's coming to get you, there's too many kids getting into accidents now a days.." She said fading away into sleep.

Kiera stormed out of her Mother's room, and back into the bathroom. Just as she opened the door, she heard her friend, Skyla talking on the phone.

To Matt.

"-But why not? I'm 18, and I'm sure if you met me, you would like what you see."

"Skyla?"

"Oh! Um, I uh, here." She said, handing her the phone before quickly exiting the bathroom.

"Hello?"

"What'd she say?" He asked, nervous, even though he knew Stacy probably wouldn't care.

"She said she didn't care.. but you had to come get us.."

"Okay, that's no problem. I'll be there Friday morning since you don't have school that day."

"Okay. Um, what were you and Sky talking about?"

"She knows who I am, and was trying to get me into bed.."

"Oh really? Okay, anyways, I'll see you Friday."

"Okay sweetie, I love you."

"Love you too, Dad."

"Bye."

"Bye," she hung up the phone and took it into her's and Braydyn's living room and put it on the dock. From what her Dad told her, she now know's for sure that Skyla had only been hanging out with her because of who her Dad was. Soo, she told her to go home.

The rest of the week went by in a blur, nothing really happened and she hadn't talked to her Dad since Saturday when he called. In less than 12 hours he would be here to pick both her and Braydyn up. She was excited, although she would never admit it to him.

She kissed her mother goodnight and headed upstairs to her room, stopping in Braydyn's to make sure he was finished packing for the weekend and to tell him goodnight.

She brushed her teeth, and showered before heading to her room to get dressed, going with an oversized As I Lay Dying t-shirt and some black cheeky panties. Kiera blow dried her hair, straightened it, and then crawled into bed, more than ready to go to sleep.

It didn't take long before she was out cold.

***

Kiera woke to the sound of tapping on her window. She slowly got out of bed, and pulled away the curtains, sliding it open. She stuck her head out into the cold air and nearly jumped out of her skin when she realized there was a very large man standing right outside. Kiera started to scream, but was silenced when the man placed his hand over her mouth, and his arm around her body. He then, while keeping his hold on her stepped into her room, closing the window behind him. Kiera was still struggling, and trying her best to scream, but it was obviously doing no good. He spoke, but she didn't hear what he said over the sound of her muffled screams. After several minutes, Kiera finally gave up and stopped struggling.

"Now," said the man, "Can I trust you not to scream?" He whispered. She nodded, and her removed his hand from her mouth.

"Let me go!!" She screamed, struggling again.

"Kiera!!" He whispered harshly, clamping his hand back over her mouth, licking the sweet spot on her throat.. This made her listen.

"I am your father."

She froze, and completely stopped struggling as he turned her around in his arms, letting her go.

"Dad? What are you doing here?!"

"I couldn't wait to see you.."

He pulled her into his chest, pressing his lips to her temple. Kiera melted into him, realizing just how much she had missed her father.

"I missed you," she admitted, hiding her face in his chest.

"I missed you too, baby girl. More than you could ever know.."

Matt guided her over to her bed, pushed her down on her back and crawled on top of her, attacking her neck with his mouth. Kiera was really starting to get into it, when she remembered the promise she made to herself.

"Stop," she said, sitting up and pushing him off of her.

"What is it?" He asked, confused.

"Were not doing this again. And remember, you said you didn't want this anymore. Well, now neither do I," she lied.

"Okay," he whispered, sitting up and reaching for his shirt.

"I didn't say you had to get dressed," she said, grinning.

"Well, if you incest, I mean insist."

"Ha ha, very funny."

He didn't reply instead he just reached for her shirt.

"What are you doing?"

"If I have to be naked, so do you."

"But you're not completely naked," she pointed out.

Matt got really close to her and whispered "That can be arranged."

Kiera and Matt decided to get completely naked, even though they both knew it probably wasn't a good idea. The rest of the night the did nothing but cuddle and catch up on everything that had happened in the last month.

In the morning Matt snuck out her window and around to the front of the house to "pick them up." Everything went smoothly and in a few hours they were back at Matt's. Kiera was more than relieved to be back in a familiar place, and she honestly dreaded going home.

They spent the weekend like they normally would, the guys came over and Kiera finally got a chance to talk to Zack. She told him how she felt guilty about sleeping with him, not that she didn't enjoy it, or even regret it, but she just felt bad for Gena. Kiera told him how she thought they should tell Gena about it. Zack explained how he already told her what happened, and that it was water under the bridge now. Kiera still felt that she needed to apologize for herself, and so she took Gena aside the first chance she got, and told her how sorry she was. Turns out, Zack hadn't told her at all. In fact, it was the first Gena had heard of it. This resulted in Gena screaming at Zack in front of everyone, telling him she wanted a divorce. Everyone now knew what they had done. Kiera was scared to find out what Matt had to say about it, not knowing that he had seen everything. Not only had he seen it, he had enjoyed it, and the first thought that went through Matt's mind when everyone else found out? That maybe he could have them do it again, so he could watch. Fucked up right?

But in order for him to do that, Zack would have to know about him and Kiera's relationship. But Zack already knew. He figured it out when he came onto Kiera and she thought it was her Dad. He hadn't told anyone else, but he planned on talking to Matt about it, but to do that, he would have to admit to screwing his daughter.

They both decided to just not even say anything about anything, and to just go on with their lives.

For now.

Later that evening Kiera and Matt were cuddling on the couch watching a movie, Braydyn was in bed, and everyone had went home. Matt and Kiera hadn't talked about the whole Zacky situation, and Kiera was hoping it stayed that way.

"Sweetie, can I ask you something?" Matt asked.

"Sure," she said, snuggling deeper into his chest.

"Now, I want you to really consider this. Just take a few minutes to consider it. Just know that no matter what you say, I'll understand.."

Kiera sat up and looked her Dad right in the eyes.

"Okay?"

"Okay, um hypothetically speaking I know I guy, who knows a guy who could do this for us. No one else would have to know, unless we really wanted them to. I mean, unless you really wanted them to, because it doesn't matter to me, I don't care if anyone ever knows. I d-"

"Know what?! Dad, I'm confused, what the hell are you talking about?"

Matt stood up and kneeled down in front of Kiera, took her hands in his, and placed a sweet kiss on her lips, leaving Kiera in a daze.

"Kiera."

"Yes?"

"Marry me."
