Daddy's Little Girl

"Come on, Bray," I said, trying to be as quiet as possible as to not wake anyone else up.

He rolled over and slowly sat up, throwing his feet off the bed. He was fully dressed, shoes and all. He stood up and arranged his pillows to look like he was still in bed. Just like I had done.

"What time is it? "

"2:42."

"Okay, I'm going to sleep in the car on the way there. "

"That's fine, dear." I said.

We then headed back to my room to get our clothes and start taking it upstairs.

After spending twenty minutes taking everything upstairs, we we're finally down to the last three bags. I told Braydyn to go on to the Tahoe, and I started back towards the basement. It was going to be rough carrying all three bags, but I'll manage somehow I guess.

I picked up all of my bags and somehow managed to turn off the light before wobbling out into the hallway and to the staircase. Just as I was about to start up the stairs the lights flipped on and standing there in front of my was Jimmy.

Great.

"So you really are leaving," he stated.

I didn't say anything, I instead just stood there looking at him, looking at me.

"How did you know?"

"I heard you and Braydyn talking."

"Jimmy, please don't tell Dad.. "

"I already tried. He wouldn't listen to me. Said you'd never leave him."

That hurt.

"I honestly didn't want to believe it either but I guess I was right."

"What's going on?"

Jimmy and I both turned around to see Zacky standing in the doorway to the guest hallway rubbing his eyes.

This just keeps getting better and better.

"Nothing, Z, go back to bed," Jimmy instructed.

"Keira why do you have your clothes? Are you leaving? OH MY GOD! is this about what we did? No! You don't have to leave, I'll go!"

"No, Zack," I said, growing impatient.

"What did you guys do?" Jimmy asked curiously.

"We had s-"

"No Zack, it's not. Go back to bed please?"

"No, if that's not why you're leaving, then why are you? You are leaving right?"

"Yeah, she is her and Bray are going to their Mom's," Jimmy said glumly.

"You can't leave, you'll break your Dad's heart!"

"Zack, please don't go there, you have no idea why I'm doing this.. "

"You're being so selfish right now, does your Dad even know?"

"No."

"Come on, Jimmy."

"What are you doing?" I asked, panicking.

"To tell you Dad," said Zack.

"No we're not. We're not going to say anything. I already tried to tell him. He wouldn't listen. Therefore, we're going to let him figure it out by himself," Jimmy said.

"Fine, I'll tell him myself."

I grabbed his arm as he was walking by me.

"Zack, If you walk up those stairs to tell him, as soon as you do, I'll walk right in there to Gena's room and tell her what we did. Don't think for one second that I won't. I am so sick of holding my tongue and not saying what's on my mind, I hold things in and pretend I'm okay when really I'm falling apart at the seams. I always act perfect, and always give in too easily, I never do anything for me, and I'm so sick of being nice. So go ahead, ruin this for me, and I'll ruin your marriage. You have no idea what he's put me through. It's so much more than me just not liking Val, and I can't take it anymore. So if you care about me at all, don't tell him."

It was silent for about a minute before he picked up and of my bags that I had sat on the floor, and headed up the stairs, Jimmy then grabbed the other bag I had and followed him.

They put my bags in the Tahoe and hugged Braydyn goodbye. They then both hugged me and told me to be careful. Jimmy said he'd try his best to stall Dad so he wouldn't know we left for as long as possible. Zack gave me 500 dollars for food and gas and whatever else we needed and told me to get to my moms as quickly as possible and to let him know when we got there.

By the time we left it was nearing 3:30. And just as I was getting into the Tahoe, I heard Jimmy talking to Zack.

"What the hell did you and Kiera do?"

"I can't tell you," Zack said, and in return Jimmy slapped him on the back of the head.

Man, I'm sure going to miss everyone...
