Daddy's Little Girl

I headed straight to my room, surprised that Dad wasn't following me like I thought he would. I opened my door and grabbed a cover, pillow, my laptop and my phone. I then ran all the way back upstairs, and to the attic without anyone seeing me. I climbed up the stairs, and closed the ladder behind me.

I set up a place in the corner behind some boxes, so that unless you actually looked behind the boxes, you would have no idea that I was in there. I spread out one of the old covers to lay on, plugged my laptop up, and plugged my phone into my laptop. I pulled out my headphones and plugged them into the designated hole. I was now set up and ready to go. I spread out my cover and my pillow and laid down.

I got on YouTube, and decided I was going to watch the movie 'Big Fish.' I found the movie and clicked on it, opening it up to full screen.

I settled in and began watching it, when I felt something touch my arm, I jumped up, relieved that it was only Brian, and took the headphones out of my ears.

"You scared the fuck out of me!"

"Sorry," he chuckled.

I didn't reply, I just took a deep breath and tried to recover from the heart attack he had just given me.

"Whatcha watchin?"

"Big Fish."

"I love that movie!! Can I watch it with you?!"

"Uh, wouldn't you rather hang out with the guys?"

"Eh, their playing strip poker with some girls they invited over, and of course their gf's. Everyone else it watching 'The Lorax' in the movie room."

"What about Dad?"

"I don't know, I haven't seen him in a while."

"Oh."

"Yeah.. So can I watch the movie with ya or what?"

"Sure, under one condition."

"Yeah?"

"I didn't get to really eat earlier, so If you order us some pizza, and let me have some JD, you can hang out in here and watch movies for as long as you want."

"Deal." He said after a few moments of hesitation, probably because of the alcohol request.

He then dug his phone out of his hoodie pocket and called the number to the local Papa Johns. He ordered 2 arge "Johns Favorite's" with stuffed crust, and a large order of cheese sticks.

He instructed me to pause the movie and get some shoes on, because he wanted me to go with him to get the pizza. I obliged, and pulled on my coat too.

We exited the attic, and headed to the car, passing the dining room where the guys and girls were playing strip poker. Dad was there too, and he looked completely smashed. He seen me and Brian leaving together, but didn't say anything, he just looked at me and took a huge drink of his alcohol. He sat the bottle down and leaned over and kissed Val, all the while keeping his eyes on me.

I stormed out the door, with Brian hot on my feet, and out to Zacky's Hummer, I hopped into the passenger seat and slammed the door.

Brian didn't say anything, as we headed off towards Papa Johns, it wasn't for a long time before he finally spoke.

"Sooo, were going to have to get alcohol too, seeing as your Dad was finishing off the last of it as we were leaving.."

"K."

He was quiet for a few minutes, before he broke the silence again, and this time it was with something I never wanted to hear.

"So, I think I've figured out what's up with you and your Dad, Keira."
