Not Another Song Lyric Title

This was way too cliche to be a chapter

Two months of being away from her family was one of the hardest times of Diana’s life. She couldn’t really recall a time that she was separated for so long from not only the guys but Jimmy. After visiting the doctor again and trying new medicine she tried to call Jimmy and beg him to let her come back but he refused. She tried talking to the other guys and they stuck alongside Jimmy. This then caused Diana to spend nearly the first whole month sulking and writing what she considered “garbage” music. The second month however she was struck with motivation. She had called in one of the best designers in California to help remodel her home.

Before her home was just basic furniture and white walls and now with the designers help it was multiple shades of greens and blues that made the house livelier. They even took extra time on her bedroom using specific shades for relaxing and sleeping and the music room had almost the same amount of time invested for musical inspiration. Diana didn’t know how much the remodel was psychological but she overall felt better.

But even when the tour was over not everyone came home. Matt and Valarie decided on seeing some friends in New York for a week or two, Michelle joined her parents in Mexico for a short vacation, Johnny, Jimmy, Zacky, and Syn all came home. After the guys returned and saw that Diana redecorated they determined that that was where the first return home party would be.

Diana had the poolside mini bar stocked and ready to go and lined the bar with various bottles of alcohol. The sun was already setting when everyone made their way to her house and started drinking. The conversation started off as talking about the tour and some of the things they did, some of the groupies and chicks they came across and on, and even excitement for the East Coast tour in less than a month. It didn’t take them long to see that Diana didn’t want to hear about the fun she was excluded from and the talk lingered onto other subjects. It wasn’t until Johnny had a few too many beers in him and began stripping to get into the pool that the atmosphere lightened up.

“Johnny you know my rules! No going naked into the pool!” Diana laughed as she caught him right before he took his pants off.

“I forgot how much fun you are.” He attempted to pout but managed to stumble into the pool causing a whirlwind of laughter. Diana then took her phone out of her pants and pulled her hair out of her ponytail holder and leaped in nearly landing on top of Johnny. When she broke the surface she had just a second to grab a new breath before she was pulled under by Johnny. They continued to fight and drag each other under the water until Diana had to tap out from her hair smothering her and it getting ripped out. When she climbed out of the water defeated, Zacky offered her a beer and a towel.

“You win this time Christ but next time my hair will be on my side.”

“Or maybe next time I’ll give you a haircut first.”

Diana gasped and grabbed her hair.

“But you’ll cut my power source and I’ll become a weakling and wither away and die if you do!”

“She’s right,” Jimmy chuckled. “She could never win when we were growing up but when she got older and grew that mane out now I can’t get the upper hand in a fight.”

“That’s because mom always told me to let you win for the sake of your manhood. Now that you’re some rock star or something like that you defined your own masculinity.” Another round of beers and laughs were shared when the bugs finally came out and everyone decided to head inside to continue drinking.

Diana quickly excused herself to head to her room and changed into something dry. On the way she grabbed a fresh towel and continued to dry out her hair. When she got to her room it was a matter of trying to find something to wear once she had stripped out of her wet clothes and wrapped the towel around herself. She was deep into her closet debating on what to wear when there was a knock on the door.

“Just another minute and I’ll be right out.”

The knocker didn’t wait and instead opened the door and shut it quietly behind himself. She held onto the top of the towel and stepped out of the closet to see Syn.

“I said I would be out in a minute.”

“I heard you I’m not deaf.”

“I know that. Seriously what do you want?”

Syn walked up closer to her and looked her in the eyes before leaning down and kissing her. It was sloppy because he was drunk but she didn’t pull away because she was too. It wasn’t too long before he had a hand on the towel and tried to slip it off. Diana broke the kiss and looked at him.

“What do you think you’re doing?”

“What does it look like?” Syn kissed her again lightly.

“It looks like a mistake.”

He leaned back with an appalled look on his face.

“A mistake? I know what I’m doing Diana.”

“You’re drunk and think about the consequences if we do this. I’m not just some road girl that you’ll never see again. I’m your best friend’s sister, practically your sister.”

“Yes you’re my best friends sister but I’ve never seen you as a sister.” He leaned in and kissed her again and she allowed him to. He started to kiss her down her neck and shoulder when she thought of something.

“What about Michelle?”

He froze and pulled away.

“What do you mean ‘what about Michelle’?”

“Everyone knows what you two are doing. I doubt that you don’t feel something for her.”

“Is this what you want? To get out of this by guilt tripping me? Yes we have been messing around for months but she isn’t here and I’m not with her technically so I can do whatever I want.”

“Brian please I just don’t want to mess things up.”

“Fine you have what you want.”

He turned on his heel and walked away slamming the door behind him. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and turned back to her closet. She quickly grabbed something to wear and wrapped her hair up in a bun and headed downstairs. When she got there she saw Syn drinking and carrying on with Jimmy as if nothing happened just moments before. Zacky walked up beside her and offered her another beer which she happily took. It wasn’t that she was afraid that everyone would be torn apart if they had slept together; it was the fact that she loved someone else and couldn’t bring herself to hurt him if he found out.
