Do you know what I have learned in my lifetime? Well, I've learned quite a few things, actually. The first is Synyster Gates is the biggest dick on the west coast. The second thing being his only daughter and oldest child makes me the unluckiest person ever created.

I sat on my bed with my computer in my lap, typing furiously, trying to get out everything I was feeling before I exploded. Well then again, if I exploded I wouldn't be living in misery on a daily basis. I sat typing til someone knocked on my door, I quickly closed out the browser, and hollered "come in."

My mom, Michelle, walked in followed by the devil himself. He had his arms crossed, and was giving me the darkest look I'd ever seen in my life.

"Hi, pumpkin," she said, kissing me on top of the head, and sitting down next to my feet. My dad continued to stand over both us, his dark look all of a sudden changing to one of suspicion.

"What're you up to?" he asked, eyeing the closed computer in my lap. He never liked the fact that I used technology of any kind, he was always afraid I'd send an SOS to someone, and then they'd figure out our dirty little secret.

"Homework, dad. I had to finish up some last minute essays," I said. "What's going on?" I asked my mom, any time I didn't hafta talk to my dad was a happy moment with me.

"Well," she said, looking from between me and her wretched husband. "I've noticed you guys seem to be fighting a lot more lately, and I kinda wanna know where it's coming from? You both seem really frustrated with each other."

I rolled my eyes, if she only knew the Goddamn truth behind our fighting. I got off my bed and put my computer on my bookshelf.

"Everything is fine, mom, dad is a douche, and I don't much like him," I said, smirking at the murderous look on his face. Granted, calling my dad a douche wasn't the smartest move, but there are time I love to bait him.

My mom started to laugh. "Okay, Case, have fun tonight," she said, as she left my room.

I put my shoes on, grabbed my phone, and hoodie, and was surprised to find my dad still standing in my doorway.

"Can I help you?" I asked, putting some last minute jewelyry on.

"Who the hell do you think you are calling me a douche?" he asked, taking a step closer to me with each word.

"Well, Gates, if the shoe fits," I said, attempting to get around him and leave my room.

"Okay, I'll let this one go," he said, with a smirk playing on his lips. I stopped trying to get around him, and starred at him probably hearing him wrong.

"Let this go?" I asked skeptically. Something was completely wrong, my dad didn't just let anything go, in fact he harped on it.

"Yeah, Casey, you have a point. All you hafta do is close your eyes for a second. Close your fucking eyes, Casey Elizabeth," he said when I just starred at him in disbelief.

I sighed, closing my eyes. Standing there, wondering what the hell was gonna happen when I got a sudden exploding pain in my mouth. I opened my eyes to see my dad's fist still raised in the air.

"Fucking hell," I slurred around all the blood pooled in my mouth. I ran into my bathroom and spit my mouthful of blood in the sink. "Fuck."

"Oh yeah," my dad said, coming up behind me. "I also forgot." He kicked my feet out from under me. I landed on my bathroom floor, with a headache that was forming from hitting my head off the wall. I was about to get back up when Brian kicked me in the stomach three times. "Have fun tonight," he said, laughing his way outta my room and slamming the door behind him.
