They Say That ALL Beauty Must Die.

Mom didn't seem too happy.. I don't know why. I didn't want to bother her, so I just let her be. She paid for the groceries and she started to help me with the bags because I was carrying too many. But I could handle it. We made our way to the car.. I was really getting worried because mom is usually all smiley and giggling. I looked at her, she looked back at me. She smiled and I guess she read my mind because she said,
" I'm alright my dear. " I smiled at her and asked her if she could open the trunk. She did and I put all the groceries down. I closed the trunk and made my way to my door. It started to rain.. Weird.. wasn't the sun shining like 5 minutes ago? But anyway, I got into the car and my mom was smoking a cigarette and texting dad. She smiled and put her phone back into her purse and we started to go home. Again, our way home, it was really quiet. I turned the radio on and "Peace Sells" by Megadeth started to blare through the speakers. My mom liked this song so we both started to sing along.
We were stuck in traffic and the rain was really starting to come down. I got a little scared but shook the feeling off and looked out of my window and I noticed that big, scary storm clouds were on their way here. I pretended to start to cry and my mom went with the flow.. She put my head on her shoulder and said
"Aww baby, don't cry.. it'll pass." I giggled and got back up to look out the window once more. The clouds were getting closer and closer and I was really getting scared now. I didn't really like storms. I guess my mom noticed because she playfully hit my arm and said
"Don't be afraid! That's God taking your picture!" I laughed and my mom started to laugh along with me. We weren't really making change in traffic. So she suggested that we'd take the free way.
Luckily, there was noone behind us, so we just backed up out of there and went for the freeway.
We were driving down the road and listening to music. I started to get tired, so I decided to have a little nap since the ride home on the free way takes like half an hour to get home. Ridiculous. I started to doze off.
I must have slept for 5 minutes but it felt good. I looked out the window, and there was lightning, lots of rain, and LOTS of thunder. I got a little scared, and I guess my mom seen my expression so she told me to put my seatbelt on. I put it on and tried to ignore the thunder rumbling. But I couldn't because everytime it came, mom & I could feel it shaking the car a bit. I was really getting scared now.
I noticed semi-trucks on the road and my moms driving was a little too fast. I told her to slow down. She didn't listen to me.. I could feel my heartbeat in my ears. I yelled to my mom "Mom! Slow down!" she looked at me with a scared expession on her face and said,
"I'm trying."
I tried to put on her seatbelt without getting in her way. I was about to buckle her in but she car all of this sudden hit a bump or something and I bounced up and hit my head on the roof of the car. I felt like I wanted to sleep but I wanted to my moms seat belt on, because it felt like the vehicle was just going faster and faster.
My vision was starting to blur, and I could hardly hear my moms voice calling out to me.
I just about blacked out, but I snapped out of it and made my way into working with my moms seat belt. Again, I just about got it into the buckle.. but I felt the car jolt violently.. I heard my moms screaming but it started to fade out.. then everything went black.
