You Think You've Got It, Don'tcha?

Chapter Twenty Three

It was almost 1 in the morning and Ryden wasn't home yet. I started panicking, calling her phone every other hour to make sure she was okay. Hopefully Brian had gotten back from his date so they wouldn't be alone. Just hearing Matt say Ryden's name made me sick. It made me more than sick. It infuriated me. He shouldn't have the privilege to even LOOK at her the way he does. Since he broke up with Val, things have went downhill for him and I hoped that it would only take him a few more days to realize what he's doing is wrong.

It was then, that I decided to call Ryden again to see when she would be coming home. After I dialed her number, I heard the dial tone. After a few rings, she answered.

"Hello?"

"Ryden? Where the fuck are you? I've been worried that something might've happened." I admitted.

"I've been with Matt." She whispered.

"Come home, baby. I need you. I miss you and I don't trust him around you." I said sternly.

"I know, Zee." She replied. I'll be home soon. I promise." She sighed. "Fuck.. Matt caught me. I'll be back in - Wait, no, Matt. Calm down."

"Ryden? Ryden what's going on?" I asked. All I could hear was Matt saying, "What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" and a scream. This was it. This was my last straw. I hung up and got on my clothes, then left as quickly as possible. I didn't even worry about getting into the car. I sprinted down the street since Matt's house was walking distance and I pounded on his door.

"OPEN THE FUCK UP, SANDERS!!" I shouted, pounding the door again. After a few seconds, there was nothing.
