We pulled up into Brian's driveway and let ourselves in with the key Brian gave me. Val waltzed over to the kitchen and took down shot glasses and more drinking glasses for everyone. Kenna joined her in the kitchen and mixed up some fruity drinks for us before the boys arrived. Leana, Kimberly and I sat on the couch playing a very interesting game of Monopoly when Val walked in. She handed us each a glass and then cleared her throat while looking in my direction.

"So, I see you and Brian hit it off at the bar." she stated with a wink.

"OH! We all totally saw you guys! You looked hot!" Kimberly slurred, raising her eyebrows in a provocative manner.

"Oh hush up you two." I laughed. "We were just dancing." I tried brushing it off.

"Please, that was not 'just dancing'." Leana said with a grin.

"Well how would you guys know?" I asked, taking a sip from my drink.

"If anyone knows Brian, it's us." Val chimed. "If he only wanted one thing from you, he wouldn't have brought you into his home, gave you a key, or let you call him Brian."

"Yeah, he made me call him Syn for the first year and half that I knew him." Kenna laughed.

"It's just who he is. We know him like the back of our hand. The last girl he was this serious about didn't work out too well, and he had been in a funk for weeks." Val said, rubbing the bottom of her glass.

"I heard about that. He told me she cheated on him." I answered, remembering the look on his face when I asked him about the picture.

"Wait, he told you?" Kimberly questioned, a look of shock on her face.

"Yeah, right after I got here." I said. "I saw the picture of him and her on the dresser and he told me about it."

"Listen to us honey. That man likes you. More than a friend, and more than a fuck buddy." Val said, the rest of the girls cosigning to her statement.

"Then what do I do?" I said, flattered but a bit nervous.

"You play on with how you feel. See how it goes from here." Leana said, shrugging her shoulders.


Brian P.O.V


Matt pulled into the parking lot of the liquor store and shut the car off. I unbuckled my seat belt and turned to get out but I noticed the rest of the guys still sitting in the car, eyes glued onto me. I didn't know what they wanted, hell I didn't even do anything.

"What?" I asked pulling my door closed and eyeing the guys in the backseat daring one of them to speak up.

"Dude we saw you and Chloe back at the bar." Matt said.

"You two were dancing pretty damn hot and heavy. Even more than Short Shit and Kimberly." Jimmy added.

"Yeah man, we know you like her." Zacky chimed in.

"I don't like her, it just...happened." I said, trying to turn away from the truth. I knew damn well I had strong feelings for Chloe.

"Gates, that's a fucking lie and you know it." Matt said, glaring in my direction.

'You know that if you weren't interested, you'd have her calling you Syn. Or you wouldn't have even brought her home and let her stay this long." he added, gesturing around to prove his point.

"He has a point Brian." Jimmy stated from the backseat as the rest of the guys nodded.

"Look, if you're scared because of the last girl, that's understandable. But damn it I'm your best friend, and if anybody knows you, it's me. Don't let her get away, Brian. Don't make that mistake." Matt said, unlocking the doors to make the journey into the liquor store.

I knew that they were right, but I kept my mouth shut and followed them into the store. Johnny headed over and picked up a few bottles of Crown Royal, Jager and Jack Daniels while Matt and I both grabbed a twenty-four pack of beer. Zacky and Jimmy walked around and grabbed things to mix the alcohol with and some packs of peanuts and candy. Once we made our purchase we headed back to my house to get the party started.


*Chloe P.O.V.*


Around 7:15 the boys made it back home and the liquor started flowing. Johnny ordered pizza and we started over our game of Monopoly, letting Brian, Zacky and Matt join in. Val came over and laid across Matt's lap and his entire expression changed from happy to horny in half a second. He scooped Val up and all but ran up the stairs and into another guest room. The rest of us put up the game of Monopoly and started a new game of our own. We took a strong shot of Jack Daniels, Jager and Coke for every one time we heard Val scream, and two shots for every thump we heard. The game went on for about a good thirty minutes before they came back downstairs, questioning why we were all so wasted.

The next two hours or so went on and everyone started to die down and relax in the living room. Brian put 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' into the DVD player and everyone crashed wherever was comfortable at the time. Matt and Val took one couch while Zacky and Kenna bundled up on the other. Jimmy and Leana made make shift bed of pillows on the floor while Johnny and Kimberly headed upstairs for God knows what. The other couples fell asleep and it ended up leaving only Brian and I awake. He gestured towards me to come over to him, so I crawled in his direction.

"God, don't do that." he said as he tilt his head back and closed his eyes.

"Why not?" I questioned, coming to a stop next to him.

"It's extremely hot." he said looking down at me.

"Whoops," I began. "What is it that you wanted?"

"I wanted to talk to you. About earlier." he said.

"Well I'm all ears." I told him. I quickly regretted it because I felt myself falling asleep.

"I wanted to know how you felt." he asked, playing with my fingers as I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Brian I told you back at the bar how I felt. I told you I liked you." I answered, feeling my eyelids getting heavier and heavier.

"But I need to know if you want something between us." he said looking over at me.

I tried answering him, but my sleep paralyzed my body. I dozed off and I heard Brian chuckle. I felt movement next to me and the room went dark. I felt him come back to me and pick me up to carry me upstairs. After reaching the last step, I was completely asleep.



I just hoped he didn't take that as me avoiding his question.
