Love Notes

Oh my God. I just had the most amazing sex of my entire life. I think I need a cigarette. I looked down at her laying so peaceful on my chest, still trying to catch her breath. I leaned down, kissing her forehead, as she wrapped her arm around me. She kissed my chest. Something told me that, in a way, she was holding onto my for dear life.

I wrestled with thoughts in my head. I had just had sex with someone and it actually meant something. Definitely different for me. Whatever it was or what it mean, I liked it. I loved her and there wasn't much of anything that was going to change that.

"I love you." she whispered, after kissing my chest.

I looked down at her and smiled. "I love you too, baby."

I pulled her in closer and kissed her, wet, hair. It smelt of chamomile and coconut, from the hotel shampoo. She looked up at me, running her fingers up and down my chest. I loved her affection. It meant the world to me. So did she. It was scary, but nothing else mattered at that moment. It was me and her and no one could touch us. I was exactly where I wanted to be, content with who I was with. I looked back at her and smiled.

"That was amazing." she stated. with a small giggle.

I moved my arm up to her hair, noticing I had blood on it, reminding me that I had bitten her earlier. "You're bleeding." I stated.

"I figured as much. You bit me pretty hard."

I adjust myself to get up off the bed and go get the first aid kit underneath the shelf in the room.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"I'm getting a band-aid for you."

She smiled. "You don't have to do that."

"I think I do. I did this to you." I smiled.

She looked at me and pouted. "No, You don't." I smiled.

"Zay, Yes I do." I argued.

"Ok. Fine." she said.

I walked back over to the bed, and sat down beside her. "Turn around." I pulled a band-aid and swab from the box. I turned back to her, still facing me. "Babe I need to do this."

She rolled her eyes, before turning around. I reached up and pushed her hair out of the way, then pushed the swab to the opening.

"Ouch! That burns!" she said pulling away from it.

I tried not to laugh. "It's alcohol. What do you expect?" I couldn't help but laugh.

"Stop laughing!" she said smacking me on the arm. "It's not funny."

I started to blow the wound to stop the burning. "That better?" I smiled.

"It's cold." she said. looking back at me, then turning back around.

I reached for the band-aid still blowing the wound. I pulled it up to her back placing it ever the wound, smoothing it down. I smiled, behind her, as I leaned up and kissed her neck softly. She giggled. I moved her hair out of my path looking for the next place. I noticed the splotches from earlier.

"I think that I may have over done it earlier."

"What?" she said.

"I left bite marks." I smirked.

She grabbed her neck. "Are you serious?" she asked, looking at me.

"Yeah." I said, softly, as I leaned in and kissed her lips.

She grinned. "Those are my war marks." she said.

"So, it don't matter baby?"

"Yes it does. If Hay or somebody sees that then my ass is grass." she stated.

"I'll take care of it."

"How?" she asked.

I pulled her close to me. "I'll just cover them up with some more." I smiled, kissing her neck again. She giggled.

"You better not." she said, before pressing her lips to mine.

I laid us both back onto the bed, covering her neck in kisses, still. I was in heaven. I never wanted to leave that room. I knew that I had to though. We would have to leave that night for the next city. I knew that I had said that I quit, but I knew that I couldn't leave my career behind. It was important to me, but so was she. Maybe things would settle down with Larry and she would fit right in. I was sure she would. I just didn't know.

Why does shit have to be so hard?
