Love Notes

I couldn't fucking believe that Matt would have the audacity to sit there and call her a bitch to her face. I should have said something. I knew that I wanted to be with her, but I knew that the guys had to love her too. Why couldn't he have been like Brian, and just got the fuck over it an welcomed her to the family? We walked back into the house, and back to our seats. I glared at Matt. I wanted to punch him in the fucking face. I hated him sometimes. and now was one of them. He had no right to say what he did to about her. I reached over and took her and into mine, locking fingers with her. she rested her head on my shoulder, then i kissed her hair. He sat there and glared rolling his eyes. I knew it was pissing him off, but I dared him to open his mouth. He didn't. The entire time was spent with Jimmy making us laugh til we almost pissed ourselves. the others were so nice to her and welcomed her right in. For some reason, 'he' had to be the one to pick today of all days to be an asshole. We were all sitting there laughing about whatever. I watched as Matt glared, hard, at me , before getting up and walking out the front door. I looked over at Zay. "I'll be right back." She nodded. I followed Matt outside. "What are you doing out here?" he spat at me. "Shouldn't you be in there with your child?" That hit me the wrong way. "What the fuck is your problem?" I yelled. "What's my problem? You're my problem." he stated. "How the fuck is that?" "You and your fucking little girl. You bailed on us for a little girl. You're sick." he turned toward the house. I grabbed the back of his arm, turning him back around toward me. "What's the real problem, Matt? I know it's not that because she's fucking 18." He turned and looked at me, with a raged, yet softened look. "I really like her. Please don't screw that up for me." "You're a player, Zack. I actually feel sorry for her because I know that you're gonna get what you want and then she's gonna be old news." he shot at me. "I'm going to change, Matt, and if anyone can help me with that, she can." He looked at me and could tell that I was serious. "So tell me about her." I smiled. I knew that he would eventually understand. "She's amazing. I just starting talking to her yesterday, but she is perfect. I think I'm in love with her." "I wouldn't go that far with it." he laughed. "Oh, I'm going there." Silence fell over the two of us. "I guess we should get back in there." Matt said, just a Zay walked out the door. "Hey." she yelled as she walked over to me, putting an arm around my waist. "Hey." Matt stood there looking at us. Her head, now, laid on my shoulder. He smiled. "Zayden, Look I'm sorry for what I said in there. I shouldn't have. I didn't know how much you really meant to Zack." She looked at him. "And, just how much do I mean to Zack?" she asked, looking at me, smiling. "He's in love with you." Matt snickered. She looked at me. "Is that true?" I had no fucking idea what to say. My heart started beating faster. I was so fucking in love with her already and I knew I could be honest. "Yeah. I am." I smiled. "Aww. I love you too." She kissed me. Matt looked away, as if this made him feel awkward. Brian came out the door. "I think we should get going, guys." he said. "We don't want to be late." I looked at Zayden. "You ready to go?" "Yeah." she smiled. I nuzzled my face into her hair kissing her neck softly. I loved her and there was nothing that was going to change that. It was official. She was the one that was going to change my life 100% for the better, and I was happy with that.
