Memories Awaken My Heart
I walked through the long darkness just like I did when I seen my dad. I came to the light and walked through it but I wasn't at the place I seen my dad, I was at my mom's house. I looked at everything around me. When did we come home? I heard the door open and I looked and seen a younger version of me. I ran out the front door with my dad right behind me chasing me as I ran around the yard. I hopped on my swing set and my dad pushes me. I was smiling so big back then.
"Nix?" I turned around but didn't see anyone.
"Where are you dad?" I asked.
"I'm just here as a voice."
"What is going on here? Why aren't I with you in the other place?" I asked.
"That I can't explain but you're remembering things from the past that will always stay with you."
"My memories?" I said.
"Yes darling. All the times we spent playing in the backyard, me taking you fishing, and reading to you before bed."
"Staying up on the weekends watching movies and being crazy as shit." I said laughing.
"Very much. These are the things you will hold. Now before I send you back there's something you need to know."
"What is it dad?" I said looking around at the memories fading away.
"Storm is gone for good. I put him away in the door of no return with the others. He won't be bothering you guys anymore."
"He's gone for good?" there was nothing but silence.
"Dad?" I said again but still silence. Soon I heard the sound of beeping and tried to open my eyes but it was so blurry.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~BRIAN'S POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been sitting here in this hospital room watching everything that's been happening to Nix. One minute she's fine but then she's coding, she stops breathing and has to be put on a ventilator but soon was taken off it and I was so grateful for her beginning to get better. Angel and Jase have sit here just as long as I have waiting and wanting her to wake up. Angel cries every time she codes. I could see why she cried because she's the one who stabbed her. Matt has even been her the past 2 days. He told me today that he is a believer in the paranormal after seeing what happened in his home. I went over to her bedside as Jase and Angel were sleeping and gently held her hand in mine.
"God...I know I'm not the best person in this world but Nix she means a lot to me. I need her here so I can take care of her...God you know you have her father up there in heaven and I know how much she would love to up there with him but her place is here with me...Please bring her back to me." I said and looking back at her before closing my eyes.
"Dad?" I looked down at her. Her eyes started to open and I turned to get closer to her. She blinked her eyes and then looked right at me. I smiled and hugged her tightly.
"Welcome back Nix." I said smiling.
"It's good to be back. Where's Angel?"
"She right there. Do you want me to wake her?" I asked and she nodded. I walked over to Angel and shook her until she woke.
"What Brian?" She looked over at Nix and shot up from the chair. She sat down in my seat and started crying again.
"Nix I'm so sorry! I should have listened to you!" She buried her face in Nix's neck and she ran her hand down the back of her head.
"It's alright Angel. I know it wasn't you." She smiled and Angel couldn't stop apologizing. Soon a doctor and nurse came in and checked her out and said it was like nothing ever happened to her. She would be able to go home in 2 days. I'm making it up to her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~NIX'S POV (2 Days Later)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I get to go back to Brian's. Hopefully, the guys will let me do my normal thing instead of doing what the doctors told them. I hate being catered too. A nurse came into the room and helped me into a wheelchair while Zacky and Angel went to get the car. By the time we got down to the main entrance Zacky already had the door opened for me. Brian took my arm and helped me into the car and he slipped in beside me with me in the middle of Jase and Brian. It seemed like it took forever to get back to Brian's but when we did, all I wanted to do is just sit down on the couch and rest.
"Can I get you anything Nix?" Angel asked.
"No. I'm alright Angel. You don't have to get me anything."
"I insist since I'm the reason you were put in the hospital." she said looking down.
"Angel look at me." She looked up at me.
"I told you it was alright. That was Storm not you." She smiled and hugged me tightly before going into the kitchen. I could hear her making all kinds of noise and then the smell of food. Her cooking is so good! I know Zacky will love it a lot ha ha. I leaned my head on the back of the couch and before I knew it I was fast asleep.
"Nix?" I turned around but didn't see anyone.
