Ghost
My State Of Unconsciousness
I seen a light so bright I had to cover my eyes.
Come to me.
A voice said and for some reason I obeyed. I walked towards the light until I came to the end. There was a gate there and I walked in. There were people all running around. I didn't know who these people were. I walked through the crowd of people not sure if they were ghosts that could see me or not. I seen a man staring straight at me and I recognized him.
"Dad?" I said and he smiled at me and nodded.
"Yes honey it is me." He lifted his arms out and I hugged my father with all of the being. I missed this man. He taught me so much in the life he lived.
"Where am I?" I asked and he laughed.
"You are only visiting me for a short amount of time sweetheart. I love how your following the dream of ghost hunting and helping out people who don't understand the paranormal. I always wanted to be a ghost hunter like you are but I never got to."
"I do this in dedication to you. Is it weird that I can see ghosts?" I asked and he shook his head no.
"I always thought it was a curse or something. The when I finally realized that my power of seeing the paranormal and helping out people wasn't a curse but a gift."
"It's an amazing gift that you possess. Never let that slip out of your grasp and never forget it." he said and I didn't want to let my father go. He was warm just like if he was alive. I let a tear slide down my cheek. I looked up into his eyes.
"What's wrong darling?"
"I just miss you so much. You dying like that was just so unexpected. I don't think I've come to terms with it yet." I said truthfully.
"I know sweety but I watch over you all the time. When you're ghost hunting, with your mother, and your friends. That evil entity that Brian has in his house...I saved you from it. The entity is very strong. Don't let Angel tell you there is nothing wrong."
"What do you mean the evil entity is still in Brian's house? I thought when I gave them my energy they went away foREVer?" I asked confused.
"Angel has been dreaming about the entity. I know the spirit's name and the only way to get rid of him."
"How dad? Who is this entity?" I asked.
"I can't tell you how to defeat him but I will fight with you to make sure he is sent back to the depths of hell for good. The entity's name is Storm. Also known as The Hacker. He's killed hundreds of people including his own family. Most of the people you see walking around us and not paying any attention to us were the people he slaughtered. The woman holding her baby." he pointed over to a woman with a beautiful baby as they walked passed us, "He killed her while pregnant with that baby boy."
"Why did he do it for dad?" I asked as I watched all the people around us walking around like they had somewhere to go.
"No one really knows. When he was executed his last words were I will kill again."
"Oh my God. Dad I need to know how to stop him. I don't want him to hurt Brian." I said with pleading eyes.
"You like this man. I can tell."
"I guess I like him...but I don't think he likes me back." I said hanging my head.
"Sweetheart. I know he likes you. He'll ask you one day. Just don't pass up the opportunity to take him."
"I won't dad. I won't do it." I said smiling. We talked and talk for what seemed like hours. He told me that he would show me how to defeat him but it would take a while to do so. she showed me the first step. Don't show fear no matter who he brings up from your past or present.
Dad had to test me several times with demons from another world. I passed that test. We did every test and he tested me with the techniques. I was becoming the master of it. More and more Practice is what I really needed before my emotions would be rock solid and I would be able to defeat it. My dad must have known what he's doing. He never left my side as I trained and if I was in a jam he helped me out of it.
