Choices

The moment I got outside, Brian was immediately by my side. I already felt awkward as hell because of Zack, but now I feel even more awkward knowing that I'm dating a band member, and not just from any band considering the fact that their songs are on the radio. I have no idea how this conversation is going to play out. I just knew I needed to keep my cool.

"What's the matter babe? You look like you seen a ghost." Brian said as he rubbed my shoulder.

"I guess that was just a huge surprise. Obviously, I have heard of you guys, but not until recently to be honest. I just don't want to look like a fool and it be some sort of insult towards you guys." I sighed.

"To be honest with you, that is a relief. Remember how those girls crowded me on the pier? That is like a daily thing. It gets tiring, I mean we love our fans but we do have everyday human tendencies." He laughed.

I let out a slight laugh myself. "I can see why it would get frustrating. But wow, I am dating a band member. Never really thought that would happen. I mean in high school, that was the dream but never did I think I'd actually live it."

"You haven't seen anything yet." He smiled. "Come on, let's finish our cigarettes and you can get to know the guys. They're your average every day dumb asses. You'll love them."

I finished my cigarette and Brian led me back into the bar. My nerves were a lot calmer now, but there was still the whole Zacky issue. What if he says something and makes it completely awkward for everyone. Ugh! Stupid kiss.

"Oh she's back! Did short shit scare you off? We can kick his ass." Matt said in a joking manner.

"I'm fine, he's okay. Just make sure he doesn't get too drunk. He might get lost." I laughed trying to make light of the fact that I kind of rudely walked away.

"Have we met before?" I heard Zacky's familiar voice ask. Okay, so he's pretending to do what? I guess I'll play along.

"I went to Huntington High, so maybe?" I said with extreme curiosity.

"Ahh, makes sense, I went there too. Pretty sure I've seen you around back then." He smiled.
"Was she always this hot?" Brian asked as he stared at me.

"Dude, yes." Zacky replied. I blushed and looked at Brian.

"I scored the hottie." Brian smiled and wrapped his arm around the small of my back and them he kissed my forehead.

Zacky saw this and then excused himself casually to go get a beer. I wasn't really sure what was running through his head, but I'm going to have to thank him later for not saying anything and also, I should probably clear the air with him so it won't be so awkward whenever we all hang out again. The last thing I'd want to do is have a complete disaster happen and be exposed for something that wasn't entirely my fault.

The night continued on as we all hung out at the bar, even after my shift was over, I enjoyed being here. Everyone was laughing and asking me questions to get to know me. Well, everyone was laughing and talking except for Zacky. No one else seemed to question it though. Maybe he was always like this. It helped out a lot though. Left no room for awkward small talk between the two of us. And that was something I was quite grateful for. I also avoided looking at him directly.

Before I knew it, everyone was pretty drunk. Brian was sloshed. I can tell by the way he was stammering over his words. He definitely needed to leave and get to bed. I was pretty buzzed myself, so I don't think I could drive us back to my hotel room. The only person who wasn't drunk was, guess who... Zacky. Everyone made him the DD tonight, which I guess made sense considering I didn't see him drink much. Must have been predetermined before they got here tonight. I asked Brian if he wanted to come back to my place, but before I could get the words out, Matt said that Brian was staying over at his house because they had things to do in the morning. I didn't argue it. I was literally down the road, so I'd more than likely be dropped off early and could avoid having to talk to anyone. In this case, Zacky.

We all stumbled out of the bar and I followed the guys to Zacky's car. He opened the doors for all of us and I got in next to Brian. Unfortunately we had to cram in because there were more people than there were seats. So I got on Brian's lap. I was comfortable here.

"Where do you live?" Zacky asked me as he started the car.

"Well, right now I'm staying at the hotel down the street." I replied.

"I live at the apartments by there, is it okay if I drop you off last? It's on my way back so it'd be easier for me." He said.

I contemplated before answering. "Well, since you're kind enough to give me a ride I'll leave the decision entirely up to you." I immediately regretted saying that because before I knew it we passed the hotel. Fuck.

Brian was passed out under me. So were most of the guys in the car. One by one, they were all dropped off. Then we pulled up to this really nice looking house. I'm guessing this is where Matt stays, considering him and Brian were being dropped off together. It was quite nice, had like a very suburban vibe. It looked closely similar to my old house when I lived out here before. I got out of the car to let Brian get out. He gave me a kiss and then mumbled something, but I really couldn't understand a word he was saying so I just smiled and said goodnight. I'll just text him when I get home. I watched as Zacky helped Matt and Brian up to the front porch, while I leaned against the car and pulled out a cigarette. I needed to calm my nerves before I was stuck in the car with Zacky all alone. Oh boy, I have an odd feeling about this.
