Tied to Our Fate

It was already noon and Brian and I had successfully done nothing. We finished our first movie, and then watched a couple more. I was getting a little sleepy and I felt finding it harder and harder to keep my eyes open.
“You tired?” Brian asked me.
He was standing in front of the TV putting a DVD back in its case.
I nodded.
“You can take a nap here if you want.” He offered.
“Ok.” I mumbled.
I just lay over and he laughed.
“Take a nap in my bed, it’s much more comfortable.” He smiled, kneeling next to me.
“I’m ok here.”
“Your back is getting to kill you when you wake up, trust me.”
I sighed heavily, not wanting to get up but I knew he was right so sat up and he held out his hands to help me up. I took his help and he held onto one of my hands, leading me up the stairs.
When we entered his room, I noticed the curtains were open and I almost said something about it but he went over to the windows and closed them. I walked over to the bed and sat on the side.
“Up.” He waved his hand.
“What?”
“You can’t sleep on top of the comforter.” He said.
“Why not?” I chuckled.
“Cause you just can’t.”
“And why not?”
“Cause it’s my bed, missy.” He smirked, leaning down to meet my eyes.
“Yeah, yeah.” I smirked back.
He pulled the covers back and I crawled in, pulling them over me.
“Want me to tuck you in?” he teased.
“I’m a big girl, Brian.” I grinned.
The goofball tucked me in anyway.
“I’ll be downstairs if you need me.”
I nodded and he leaned down and placed a soft kiss on my lips.
“Hey, Brian….” I squeaked.
“Yeah?” he answered, opening the door.
“Lay with me?”
He smiled and closed the door and walked over to the other side of the bed, kicking off his shoes and crawling under the covers beside me.
“You’re in my spot.” He whispered.
I smiled to myself and turned over to face him. He smiled at me and put his arm around me scooting closer to me.
“Is this ok?”
I smiled nodding my head. Not long after I closed my eyes I was out.
When I woke up, I felt much better. Looking over beside me Brian wasn’t there. I slowly sat up, throwing the covers off myself. Opening the bedroom door, I heard him playing a guitar somewhere in the house. I stepped out into the hall figuring out the sounds were coming from down at the end of the hallway so I walked down the hallway a little ways and knocked on the door.
“You can come in.” He announced from the other side.
I opened the door to find him lounging back in a big oversized chair with his guitar in hand.
“I didn’t wake you up did I?”
I shook my head.
“Come in, have a seat.”
I picked the little leather love seat to plop down on and plopped I did.
“You hungry?” he asked.
I nodded.
“You aren’t much for conversation when you wake up are you?”
“No.” I smiled.
“Neither am I.”
He sat up in the chair and sat down his guitar.
“What do you want to eat?”
“Are you trying to fatten me up? All we’ve been doing is eating.”
He chuckled, standing up and came over to me and gently patted my legs.
“Oh yeahhhh, you need some meat, babe.”
“Shut up!” I squealed.
Brian chuckled loudly leaving the room and I quickly went after him. He was already half way down the stairs; he was fast. I followed him down the stairs and into the kitchen where he was opening the fridge.
“You’re mean.” I stated.
“How?” he snorted.
“You just are.”
“I’m just joking with you.” He laughed.
He grabbed two bottles of water out of the fridge, handing me one. I hadn’t realized my throat had been that dry until I took a small sip, then chugging half of the bottle. Finishing it off, I sat it down on the counter and almost screamed when Brian attacked me out of nowhere putting his lips on mine. He smiled against my lips and held me firmly against him. I pulled away half dizzy and looked up at him,
“What was that for?” I murmured.
“Because I can.” He smiled back.
I couldn’t help but smile as he brought his lips down on mine again. I could really get used to these just because kisses.
