After The Surgery
I had called Matt and told him about Roxy's waking up and he immeidately said he was coming to the hospital and then I called the girls. I told them to tell the others and get over here to see her. They said they would be right over. I went back into Roxy's room where the doctor and a nurse was putting Roxy on a stretcher.
"We've got a surgery scheduled in 30 minutes and we're going to take her now to get her prepped and ready. She'll be coming back to this room so if you could wait over in the waiting area right outside that would be good."
"Yes doctor. I need to go down to the main anyways to get some friends of mine and show them the way up here. I'll be back in just a few minutes." I said and they wheeled her out of the room. I followed right behind them but got into an elevator and went down to the lobby of the hospital. I stood by the door as I seen their cars pull up all at once. I watched as they literally ran up to the door and came over to me.
"How is she doing?"
"She's gone back into surgery. They have to put the bone back on her skull since the swelling is completely gone. I just came down here to get you guys so we can wait on her in the ICU." I said as we headed over to the elevator. I pressed the button to the ICU floor and waited until the doors opened again. We got off the elevator seconds later and we walked over to the waiting area that was empty. Now all we have to do is wait.

I watched as the door opened and several nurses wheeled Roxy from the operating room. We all got up and went over to the doctor to see how everything went.
"How did it go Doctor?" Matt asked speaking first.
"The surgery was a success but she'll need to stay here for a few days in case there are some complications but I don't think there will be."
"Can we go in and sit with her?" Jimmy asked with excitement.
"Of course. She'll wake up in a couple of hours and when she does someone will have to have the nurse at the desk page me." We followed the doctor back to her room where the nurses were checking her IV tubing. We all sat down and Matt grabbed one of her hands and I grabbed the other and rubbed over it like I did all those days she was in a coma.
I never want to see her in such a state like that ever again. It scared the living shit out of me and I was so frightened that she would never wake up and be with us and having the doctors hound me every time they came in about pulling the plug on her just made me angry. What if I pulled the plug and it was the wrong decision? I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I had pulled the plug on her life. I would be a killer if I did that. We've been sitting here more than 2 hours and she still hasn't woken up. I convinced the guys and the girls to go down to te cafeteria and get something to eat while I sat here with her. I think the reason she hasn't woken up yet is the medication they have her on when they were operating. I laid my head back against the wall as I sat there waiting her for her to wake. I know she'll want to go home as soon as she can but I think I'll talk to Matt about her staying in one of the guest rooms so we can keep an eye on her. I don't know if she'll agree to it but I'm good at convincing people.

I opened my eyes feeling a little sore but better than I was when I first woke up. I looked over and all the guys and girls where either reading magazines or books. I looked over and seen Val messing around on her phone and I tapped her arm. She looked over and smiled.
"Are they going to keep reading?" I whispered to her and she nodded. I looked over to the guys and they were still reading so I cleared my throat and they all looked up.
"It's about time you paid attention." I said chuckling.
"How are you feeling?" all of them said in unison. I shook my head and tried not to laugh.
"I'm just fine. I feel a lot better than I did yesterday. Speaking of feeling better...when am I getting out of here." I asked looking over at Val.
"In a few days. The doctor wants to make sure that there isnt any complications."
"Oh I see." I said nodding slightly. I swear my head felt so heavy but I guess that's normal. The door opened an a doctor came in.
"How is the patient today?"
"I'm good." I said smiling.
"That's great." he came over to my beside and flashed a light in both of my eyes before unwrapping my head. He poked and prodded and my scalp and asked me if it hurt. It did a little but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle.
"This is amazing. You're making a very rapid recovery and I don't think you should stay with us the whole week. You can go home in about 3 days."
"Great!" I said smiling. The doctor left and I laid my head back down on the pillow. I just want to get out of here and go home to relax for a while. Hopefully, I'll be able to get out of here sooner.
