Chapter 34
Erin’s P.O.V
It had been two and a half weeks since we had moved the stuff to Laguna and I was waiting patiently for the Berry brothers to finish bringing the medical supplies and since there was a massive ocean in front of me I was just staring at it… I don’t think there was anything on my mind… I was just listening to the waves crash on the shore. I felt a hand on my back and I turned around and Liv was handing me a glass of orange juice.
“Why are you out here by yourself?” She asked and I just sat there quietly and
shrugged.
“I was just getting in a peaceful moment that’s all, how is the baby doing today?” I asked her and she smiled rubbing her stomach.
“Kicking away, can’t wait for the boys to bring the stuff to do my checkup… are you sure you are okay E? You seem really different today” She said and we sat down on the sun chairs that were outside and I smiled at her.
“This safe house just has a lot of memories in it, they have had this place for a while now and when I helped them one time I was here for like 4 days not looking away from a computer screen and this is where Matt and I had our fight and I pushed him in the pool and left…” I said and she just brought her hand over and put it on mine.
“You gotta let go of that Erin, things change, people change and so do relationships and you two are really really great together and I am just so happy that you ended up coming to help with this and that you are still around… Johnny and I wouldn’t be able to do this without you” She said and I teared up and smiled at her.
“Did anyone tell you that aside from being this badass girl you always know how to make everything better?” I asked her and she just laughed and then burped a little and held her stomach and I just started laughing.
“Oh stop you lunatic girl, blame the bundle of joy that has been complaining all morning! I cannot get the baby to calm down sometimes!” She said laughing loudly and I sat on the concrete by the chair and I put my ear to her stomach and one of my hands there and started humming and found myself singing a little Kelly Clarkson to the baby.
“Wanna feel the warm breeze
Sleep under a palm tree
Feel the rush of the ocean
Get onboard a fast train
Travel on a jet plane, far away
And breakaway” I sang just a tad and softly and I heard Liv’s breathing slow down a little bit and I smiled looking up and noticed that she was falling asleep a little bit.
“Thanks E… the baby is surprisingly not making a fuss now, that was beautiful” Liv said and I saw Johnny standing at the sliding glass door to the pool and he was smiling but I could tell that he was just enjoying seeing Liv comfortable and safe. I got up and walked over to him motioning for him to sit down with her and I went inside to grab a drink. Matt walked in with Zacky and they were talking about Call of Duty and normal man stuff and I just sat there spiking my orange juice and they both just stared at me.
“I see that someone wants to party” Zacky said and I just stared at Matt who was equally in an awkward place because of what we had happen here.
“I figure that since we are here and safe for the time being that I could have myself a drink, a girl has to be able to have a good time and enjoy herself from time to time” I said and Zack just smiled rubbing my back on the way out and I set down my glass and sat there with Matt staring at me.
“So… this time around… can we not fight?” He asked and I could tell that he was afraid that we were gonna fall into some old ways and I just put my glass down and I walked over to him and put my hand on the counter.
“Listen… what happened three years ago is forgotten… we are different now and I promised myself that I would just let go of the past and live my future out happily and make sure that I don’t screw things up. And that includes with you… there will be no fighting and I promise that I wont push you into the pool again” I said to him and towards the end he laughed and then hugged me tightly and walked out to do his gaming with
Zacky again. I called Jason and Matty trying to figure out what the hell was taking them so long.
“E! Sup girl?” Jason asked answering the phone.
“Where are you and your brother? I thought we were gonna get the rest of the stuff out
here today” I said and suddenly I heard a loud noise and the phone had slight static and I hear yelling and pulled it away from my ears.
“JASON??!! MATTY??!!! HELLO?” I yelled and I was trying to get through to them and I
heard groaning and I heard cracking glass.
“Hmmm easy targets” I heard Ben say over the phone and I knew everyone was in here by now.
“You want your friends back? You tell me where Liv and Kylie are hiding and you can have them” He said and hung up and I just dropped the phone on the counter… all we wanted was one day of peace.
