Vanessa's POV*

I laid there just wishing this was all a dream, well nightmare technically, and that I'd wake up. Seeing Zacky's face and having to keep this from him for the time being is horrible. I'm still pretty shocked myself from what the doctor told me. The scene continuously plays back in my head. I try not to think about it but I fail every time.

"When was your last menstrual cycle?" The doctor asked.

I was confused by this question because I was stabbed, not in here for a pregnancy test or prescription for birth control. I answered anyway.

"I'm not really sure. Since I had my daughter everything has been out of wack." I said. It was true though. I wasn't really sure when I had a period last.

"Well, according to the bloodwork we've taken, you are pregnant. Unfortunately, when you were stabbed the fetus was also stabbed meaning that we have to remove the small remains of the fetus. You had no idea you were pregnant did you?" She asked.

I laid there with a pure look of shock on my face. Then the tears started to flow out. She killed my baby!

"I'm so sorry for your loss, tomorrow we will perform the procedure. Should we notify your boyfriend?" The doctor asked before leaving the room.

I shook my head no and continued to cry.

That killed me thinking of what the doctor had said and what I had to go through today. We could have been having a boy or another girl but now that's all ruined. I feel horrible and this is something I can't tell Zack yet. Keeping this from him isn't my first choice though. Tears started filling up my eyes as i thought about everything thoroughly. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep of the pain. But before I could fall asleep someone busted in through my door.

"What are you doing here?!" I sat up and yelled at the person in my room.

"What I can't see my daughter?" She smiled wickedly, closing the door behind her.

"You saw me already, in fact you're the one who put me in here!" I yelled.

"Shut up you ungrateful brat." She slapped me.

"Here to finish the job? You already killed one person. I don't know what possessed you to do this but I will not hesitate to call the cops." I said.

"All you had to do was send me some money. We wouldn't be in this mess but instead you ignored me and kept my grand daugher away. So if you died I'd get your money and I'd get to see my grand baby. What do you mean I killed one person?" She said.

I looked down at my stomach.

"Oh geez Vanessa. You can't keep your legs closed can you? Oh well guess I'll finish what I started." She said grabbing a pillow and walking closer to me. I tried moving but I was still very sore.

Before my mother could finish someone came rushing through the door and pulled her away. It was Zacky. He didn't leave? He pulled her away and then the cops grabbed her.

"She's the one who did this to me!" I yelled to the officers.

"You bitch. At least I killed your unborn." Was the last thing she said as the cops pulled her out of the room completely.

Zacky looked at me. Val came into the room holding Jaymee as well. Both of them with shocked faces.

"I wanted to tell you Zack!" I started crying.

He just came and held me. Didn't say anything but just stood there holding me. I looked at my daughter in Val's arms and it made me cry more. Val left the room seeing we needed space.

"Zack, I-" He cut me off.

"We don't need to talk about it right now okay. I'm just glad you're alive." He said softly and then he kissed me on my head.

What would I do without him?
