Dealing
Vanessa's POV*
I woke up in Zacky's arm's. Go figure it would go from me taking care of him to him being the one taking care of me. I really broke down last night. Not in the normal way either. How come everything is happening to me. Did I do something so wrong to be going through this? I slipped out of Zacky's arms trying not to wake him up and made my way into the kitchen to get an asprin for the headache I know I'm about to have if I keep thinking about everything. The problem was that I couldn't just stop thinking about it all. My boyfriend is in the bedroom bruised up, on the brink of going on tour. M daughter has to always be watched carefully until this "balloon effect" goes away. And my father, who I was mad at, is currently in the hospital because he crashed into us. Ugh, what a mess.
"Babe, are you feeling any better?" Zacky asked as he came into the kitchen.
"Just frustrated about everything. Thanks for dealing with me last night." I said going up to gently hug him. Guess my slipping out without waking him up wasn't a success.
"Deal with you? You're the love of my life, "dealing with you" is my job." He smiled.
"You're something else." I said to him.
"Now let's get ready and go visit your dad." He said to me.
I really didn't want to go in there and face this yet but I knew i would have to sooner or later. Besides, I need to know why he was out here.
"You sure you should be moving around? Plus, how would we get there?" I asked.
"Fuck! Thats right our car is gone." He exclaimed.
I was about to dial in Matt's number to see if he'd give me a ride but then I got a call from a number I didn't know. I answered it.
"Hey, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your dad is in the hospital." The voice on the other end said.
"I'm sorry, who is this I'm speaking too?" I asked calmly.
"Sorry, it's Nancy." She said.
"Oh hi. Yeah, I kind of already knew that. I was about to go see him but I don't have a car at the moment." really didn't feel it was her business to know the rest of the details at the moment.
"Oh I see, well I can come get you. That is if you don't mind it." She said in a pleasant tone. I guess I should go with her. She is about to be my Step-Mom after all.
"Sure. I'll be ready in 15. Just honk when you're here." I replied.
"Sure thing." She said as she hung up.
I looked at Zack and he was smiling. I hink I already know what's going on in his head but I wsn't going to ask and confirm that thought. He followed me as I went into our bedroom to change. A part of me didn't want to leave him here but I needed to see my dad and sort of patch things up with him. I can't keep this up.
"I think this is good." Zack said breaking the silence and confirming the thought I didn't want confirmed.
"Yeah I know. I just, ugh, so much to deal with." I sighed.
"Its going to get better." He smiled.
I didn't reply to that, but in his smile I could see that he was right. Maybe things would get better. I went up to hug him and then I heard a honk come from outside.
"Tell your dad I said hi. And try to stay calm babe. Call me if you need me." Zacky said as he leaned into kiss me.
I made my way out the door and walked to the car an got in. Hopefully this all goes well.
Mandy's POV*
Just my luck. Mom's boyfriend gets into a car accident and I have to suffer. It's not fair. Now I'm sitting in this hospital waiting room while she goes and picks up his dumb ass daughter. I don't even get why I'm here. I pulled out my phone and searched through my contacts for Gena's number. Maybe she'll pick me up or something.
"Hello Mandy." Gena answered. She sounded sleepy.
"Come get me from the hospital yeah? I'm in L.A." I said.
"Why are you at the hospital in L.A?" She asked.
"My mom's Fiancee got into a car accident last night. So I have to wait here while she goes and picks up Vanessa's ass." I explained.
"Just Vanessa?" She questioned. Her mood sort of perched up after that.
"Yeah I believe so." I answered.
"I'll be there in 5. I'm not too far from the hospital."
"Kay." I hung the phone up and made my way out to the front.
Something old me we were about to go off on an adventure. I smiled to myself and waited by the entrance. This felt like old days. Thank God she lives out here or else I'd be stuck with Vanessa. I watched for Gena's car and then spotted my mom. Shit! Vanessa doesn't know I'm related to Gena so if she finds ot then all hell is going to break loose. Almost as if that thought was to kick me in the head, Gena pulled into the parking lot. I walked wuickly making sure no one noticed me and made my way to Gena's car before mom got out f hers.
"Go, go, go!" I yelled as soon as I got in the car ot even shutting my door yet. We slipped out of the parking lot and I looked back to see if mom spotted me but surely enough she didn't. Whew!
"Looks like I got there just in time huh?" Gena smiled.
"You have no clue. So what are we doing?" I asked still calming down from the tiny adrenaline rush I had.
"Visiting an old friend." She said as a huge smile spread across her face.
Thats when I knew exactly what we were doing. We were off to see Zack.
